[Q] JB ROM not network signal - LG Optimus Black

Hello everyone:
I've tried so many ROMS, and everything was OK, until I decided to test the new JB ROMS out there, I can flash them, but in every single ROM I got not network signal at all, I've tried many JB ROMS and none is working for me. Of course I make clean install always.
I have CWM 5.0.2.6 (I've tried with touch and normal) I'm not sure if it matters.
Anyone with this issue? Any hint?
Thanks for your help.
Regards.

No. I've changed the baseband using SmartFlash Tool and doesn't work (V20S, I readed on some threads that is working for someones) also installed Getril and it says in Baseband "Unknown", also I've noticed is that my IMEI is blank.
Any other ideas?
Thanks

In JB ROMs you shouldnt even think of using GetRIL, since it's not yet update for those...
Really cant think of anything else then, but you re maybe flashing it the wrong way... All 3 wipes done? Data/factory reset, cache and dalvik in advanced?
Where are you from? Maybe it's just not compatible with your local baseband.

NO SERVICES with CyanogenMod 7

Guys, I'm just wondering are there anyone of you here having this annoying problem???
Installed Cyanogenmod 7 and it was perfect to use but lately it keep on disconnecting with my carrier..
Please Help~~
What Baseband are you on? I had the same problem, but its solved since I reverted to BB 218.
my BB is 1035.21_20110405
Lately I have this disconnected network issue too. Only by rebooting the network will revive. Was on BB 622. I have since reverted to BB 218 and the network disconnection issue stopped.
Some called that baseband crashing.
Have you flashed the corresponding RIL? If that doesn't work try the 218 BB.
Guys, do u mind to tell me how to flash my BBC to 218?? Newbie here

Do a Nandroid backup first, because it will wipe your device. Then follow this guide using the 218 BB from temaseks MediaFire Folder in his signature, restore your nandroid backup and your done.
I only get this on 405 when running codes like *123# etc.

Flash it from CWM recovery.
Monitor if any more such no network issue (possibly BB crash). Anytime u wish to revert just flash the other file.
I'm not sure if u are using CM ROM though.

I9001 GPS issue

As the title says, i have a problem when trying to use GPS. First time i tried to use it on a gb rom and it didn't lock to any sattelites.
I tried modifying gps.conf, both on ics and gb, with no luck. And i don't want to open up my phone since i don't want to lose my warranty.
What i wanted to know, is there any way i could try to solve this, assuming it's not hardware related?
I'm now using the arco CM9 beta build 2 with castagnaIT v6.7 kernel.
Thanks in advance.

I've tried 2 versions of that, didn't help. Is there a way i can reset it via codes? I've seen something like this in a topic but when i entered that code nothing happened.

I personally think it is hardware related. If you flash an other rom and the problem is still there, than at least it isn't a software problem.
I suggest that you flash the stock firmware and see if the problem os still there. If that is the case, contact samsung or your service provider
*note that you wont get warranty with cyanogenmod installed on your phone.

Yeah, I'm gonna try that sometime. And I don't really need gps, so i don't know if i'm gonna take it to warranty, because they're gonna hold it for like 2 weeks. But thanks!
Try the app Gps status & Toolbox. Reset gps & download a-gps. Maybe it'll work for you like it did for me. Let us know.

sir , thanks for response
but , some people keep telling that we can do it by
downloading the official rom then flash it ,, after that we can flash the original kernel alone ,, and then go to download mode and wipe data
i dont understand any thing from the above ... if its right ??

You should ask them, I do not know. I flashed whole firmware, and it stuck. I needed to reflash JB to get my phone working.

thanks anyway
from where can i get the kernel of I9070JPLK2 rom ( as i have the rom all backed in one .tar file )
Hi,
I've got the same problem this week. I've upgraded my phone with the russian firmware and, at the first time, I have a very poor performance. Then, I've tried to get back to Gingerbread and got stuck, just like you.
After many tries, I gave up, because I needed to use the phone, then flashed Jelly Bean again. This time the performance was a lot better. I make also a factory reset and rooted the JB and installed No Frills CPU (with conservative governor), and finally I found a good performance, just like the old GB.
Sure, that is a new and modern system, and in a matter of fact it is havier than GB, but with the settings that I told above you may like it. Just give it a try. Overall is better than GB.
Sorry about my english, and good luck.

[Q] GT-N700 Note, signal problem

Hi folks, I have an unlocked note GT-N700, it works on other networks such as giffgaff/O2. But when I use a t-mobile sim it has a very weak signal then drops to emergency calls (useless). Tried 2 different t-mobile sims, both the same. Can sit my galaxy s3 beside the note and the s3 has good signal but the not remains on emergency calls.
I have tried an Orange rom, root the different roms, tried flashing different modems XXLR1 & XXLS0 still no joy.
Any help is appreciated. Just seems the note refuses T-Mobile (UK btw)

To install new kernel, shoould i do any wipe/clearing data?

excuse me, i'm new to android, so you could say that i'm blind in this kind of thing
To install new kernel, shoould i do any wipe/clearing data?
i'm using viper rom 1.2.1 and it has the viper hub to install kernel, but i have to enter the recovery, and now i'm using bulleproof kernel, and i want to install the ultimax kernel, should i wipe or do anything before flashing the kernel (just like rom) ?
please need help, sorry for the bad english..
No, installing kernel doesn't need you to wipe data. Only wiping cache or dalvik cache is enough (as some kernel's also automatically did this upon flashing so, it depends.)

Yeah, but it is always advised that you do a backup of your rom first, just in case something goes wrong and you want to restore everything back. As for the kernel, I personally use ElemantalX, got no big issue with it. Basically you have to try by yourself though and find the best that suits you.

No I mean, the backup of your whole system. You can find the backup option in the recovery. It's okay, nothing wrong in asking when you really don't know about something.
