Is this a hardware only feature that is not available on the Xperia T?
Related
It's almost time to choose a new phone from my provider and I already thought that the Xperia V was it.
But after reading a lot of review and watching all the video's, I need your opinion.
What are the most signifcant differences between the V and the T, only the LTE support and water resistance?
T:
- Bigger Screen
- Camera button
V:
- Water resistant
- LTE
So, my main question, what is, in your opinion, the best choice ?
Moved to Q&A
The Xperia T also has the superior front-facing camera at 1.3MP with 720p HD video recording (Xperia V only has a VGA front camera), so that could factor into your decision as well. The Xperia V currently has some software advantages on the stock ROMs, incorporating features that Sony won't be adding to the Xperia T until the Jelly Bean update. I ultimately chose the V because of the LTE support and its personally more preferable screen size at 4.3", and the waterproofing is a nice added bonus as well. It's best to keep in mind that the Xperia T has far more developers at this point, however, so that could be the biggest deciding factor for you.
Hello. I want to ask about its camera.
Burst-shot, that was on Z(also ZL and ZR) doesn't appear on SP. I know that the camera module of Z and SP are different. But its difference is not so big, and SP seems has enough power. So I wonder whether burst-shot feature can be enabled on SP.(e.g, porting camera app from Z)
Is it possible in the future?
I think burst-shot mode needs proper camera -hardware- to work
There should be apps out there that can do 'software' burst-shot by taking pictures of your video feed (so max resolution would be 1080p)

i think this can be possible coz capturing rate of SP is pretty good and i think it will be possible if someone ported this for SP or sony implement this feature in future update
you can try this app to check the accuracy of your camera ... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wombatix.burstcam&hl=en
and this app able to capture 20 photos within 2-3 sec which is good i thnk
Thanks for replying. I hope that be going to better way....

Just saw the Z2 and it had the same camera as Z1. After seeing that Sony enabled 4K on Z2, which Z1 was already capable of doing but not activated cause SONY, was wondering whether the Z1 has the Slow-mo feature too but was hidden cause SONY.

Well the logical answer would be that SONY wants to make money because Snapdragon 800 is capable of taking 4K natively without lags and so on.. but SONY wants you to upgrade and spend money all the time... There is a big chance that SONY will add 4K in Kit Kat update so let's just hope. And about Slo-Mo, so logically 4K is 4 Times 1080p right? If phone takes 1K at 60FPS then it can take slow-mo at 240FPS... All complaints to SONY ...
It will all ported from Z2 to Z1 so I am not worry about anything. Z1 will get better and better with time.
I agree with you theres nothing to worry about cause the XZ 4.3 has all the camera features of XZ1 but the chances of it having 4K recording are pretty much almost 0%.
What I want to know is, does the XZ2 use the same G lens as XZ1 or does it have some treaked/updated version. If it has the same then Slo-mo coming to Z1 is almost 100% yes.

Judging by what you said that would mean that the Note 3 and every Snapdragon 800 phone along with 4k 30fps cameras have slo-mo capabilities which I highly doubt.
Also the Z2 does Slo-mo at 120fps.

The camera still the same and lens too. Software was improved that is why Z2 have better pictures. The 4K recording will be available on Z1 soon. Is not Hardware limitation buy Software only. It's a matter of time. This for sure will be made all for the end of this year.
Thanks bro that's the answer I was looking for.

Hi DEVs
Have someone tried to port the digital tv app found in Xperia Z2 (D6543) to Xperia Z1 (C6943)?
Xperia Z1 software runs buggy, in slow motion, some channels do not have audio layer, only captions/subtitles. In Z2 app, all channels run OK, although I didn't find any setup to turn on captions. The interface is cleaner, more reliable.
Any Brazilian in devs?
Thank you,
Alexandre
could any one port video pause and resume from z3 or z3v to z1 &z2
it's a shame that z1 & z2 doesn't have this

No.
At least, not for now.
Pause function is using few libraries from Z3 firmware that can't be ported.
Long story why but they can't.
We'll have to wait new Z2 fw and if Z2 gets that camera feature - it'll be great.
Of course that doesn't mean it'll be possible to port it from Z2 to Z3...
Nothing is impossible!
