Hey,
After discovering SuperD-blk (Nexus theme), I realized how much I liked the animations, Nexus style launcher, and the green highlights. As I wanted to try other builds but continue to use the theme, I decided to make a metamorph of SuperD 1.6 [Black\Nexus] for use on all Donut 1.6 roms, and share it for those who enjoy that look and style as much as I do.
I have noticed applying this morph causes the rom to rebuild the dalvik-cache and ZipAlign the apps, so it might take a while to boot after applying it
All credits goes to HTCClay and benbuchacher. They put together an EXCELLENT build, which speeds like no other donut build i've run across.
Updated on 1/30/2008 All links below have been updated (Uploaded 12:30am PST)
Newer update includes system-wide green selections and more green in the launcher (Thanks to cloverdale for the "organicide" pngs from his Nexus theme!)
Various improvements to Launcher.apk images (more green, less orange & minor color gradient for the app drawer )
Removed unneeded wallpapers built into Launcher to reduce morph size
Only Compatible with Donut 1.6 roms (Tested on Super D 1.6.5\1.6.6 Beta and Cyanogen 4.2.13)
Features:
Nexus Style Launcher
Animations from SuperD 1.6
Green Highlights
Colored notifications for Gmail & Calendar
Whole Package (all of the above included)
4Shared Link
Mediafire Link
SuperD Animations only
Mediafire Link

Please give me feedback
Tested using MetaMorph 1.8.2 \ 1.9.4
Enjoy!
Borrowed these screenshots from the SuperD rom, as it is identical (although the search bar is black). Also, I didnt make any changes to the lockscreen, but I figured Id show a SS for kicks
trying it now!
Using Metamorph 1.8.2 and CM 4.2.13... completely failed. The only change I've noticed is that the text for the notification bar is now white, which sucks because it's now white on white.
Good effort though, I guess.
btw- screenshots would be nice to help me see what I'm missing
Screenshots please!!!

Thats pretty strange, cause I tested it on my Cm-4.2.13 (nandroid backup).
Did metamorph give you any errors? I replaced almost all the images (and a lot of xmls) in the launcher and framework, and if it is working it should at least give you some modified images.
Let me know...Ill do some further testing to see whats happening.
EDIT: I modified the zip file a little bit, pulled out some extra crap, and confirmed it applied successfully to SuperD Beta 1.6.6 and CM-4.2.13.
Let me know if you continue to have issues
I'm going to end up reflashing my rom and maybe some other fancy things to get metamorph working again. I haven't been able to fully get a metamorph theme to work in a while, so this SuperD theme might be just fine. I'll come back edit this post when it's all finished and (hopefully) working.
I get "The theme you selected is invalid because the theme control file could not be read or missing."

I'm sorry it didnt work for ya, I even downloaded it from 4shared and reapplied it to mine to see if there was something being corrupted during the download. I am currently using MetaMorph 1.8.5 donate, if that makes any difference. I attached the .thm file for you to see if it works.....just rename it to .thm and drop it in /sdcard/androidthemes/SuperD
I am pretty new to metamorph but I think i followed the scripting parameters correctly. I attempted to remove the comments from the bottom to see if that is causing an issue.
If anyone has an idea, please feel free to chime in.
EDIT: just downloaded MetaMorph 1.8.2 free from the market to test it. Seems to work fine....I'm actually a little confused. Please try another theme and see if MetaMorph itself is working properly. Thanks and let me know what ends up happening. Would love for everyone else to enjoy this....
Works on CM 4.2.13, just not on Super D 1.6.6. Thanks for the help man, always appreciate the ones who helps out!
Using it on SuperD 1.6.6 Beta as I type to keep me over till the STABLE release......shouldnt be any different, as it is just rebuilding the .apk/.jar files w/ different images and XMLs
I was wondering if you could put together the white one also?
Nice! What part of this makes the highlights green? I've been wanting the green highlights for a long time!
I'm already using Super D, just missing the green highlights.

Actually, I am not quite sure, as I assembled this as a way to test\learn MetaMorph. Some xml in the framework-res does all the green selections (I love that too, main reason I made the morph)
I believe there is a green highlights metamorph if you can find the post called "Post your Morphs" in this same forum, if that is all you are looking for. You could also try just applying the framework-res part of the theme instead of applying all the modifications.

If all you are looking for is the Nexus style launcher, try just applying the Launcher.apk part of the morph. If not, let me know and I'll see what I can whip up
I meant the white notification bar. I don't remember if the black themed SuperD has it, but the text message notification is green on the white one. Which looks awesome together. Anyways using this on WGbuild Y2.6 works great!

Green highlights are .png and .9.png files, which will be located in framework-res.apk in /res/drawable (or /res/drawable-mdpi in 2.0).
By the way, if you want green highlight in ALL system apps, download Nex^2us (in my signature) and you are welcome to add them to your theme.

Thanks for the info. Good to know for future 'morphing'.
For those that have used the SuperD White\Nexus, are the selections green? I am trying to figure out if it is even worth building a white version, as you can add the Nexus launcher by just applying the Launcher.apk
I will probably just keep this morph as is, as it is serving the exact purpose it was created for. I will continue to update it as SuperD progresses though.
@Cloverdale, us your "orangicide" done in the metamorph theme too, or just the full build? Figuring out which one to dissect haha. Thanks!
Nope, no green highlights

can you make a separate one for "Animations from SuperD 1.6 " only for the white one? I'd like to add the animation only and not touch the rest of the system. Is it possible?
I am proud to present to the Eris Community my first MM theme. I wanted to create a themed ROM that in my opinion had the best features out of the many ROM's that have been created both eris and non eris ROM's. Download the zip file to the root of your sdcard and extract the zip file using metamorph.
Let me be clear when I say that I did not create any of these icons, and credit is given to their designers. If you see your work in this theme pm me so that I can give you proper credit. I have pulled so many different icons from son many different themes that I lost track of what icon came from what theme. With that being said a lot of these icons were obtained from sites outside xda and all icons were freeware and no icons were part of a paid bundle. I would like to thank Droidkevlar for his giving me the idea and showing me how to turn this into a MM theme. The LauncherPro.apk part of this theme has a lot of the modifications signals23 was the one that changed the Launcherpro widgets to blue if I remember right all credit goes to him, and this APK on your ROM must be installed in the system/app folder. So in short get a froyo rom that has LauncherPro installed already in that folder or push it there using adb so that MM can apply the theme. Also a big thanks to Godzson for the Onyx icons.
Now to the usual disclaimer: You use this theme at your own risk, your bricked phone is your bricked phone not my bricked phone I originally created this theme for ShadowROM, however I have installed it on Tazz Froyo 16 without a problem. It has had no other testing besides this. Do a nandroid backup before using this.
v0.2 Please Read this section before saying the the lock screen font didn't change on the clock. I have decided rather then delay releasing v0.2 because I am trying to have metamorph do it and cant figure it out yet. Google "changing fonts lockscreen android" there will be an article at androidpolice.com (sorry not allowed to post exterior links) this is very simple and involves downloading 2 apps from the market and whatever .ttf file you choose.
As you can see the size of this MM is considerably larger then v0.1, there has been a lot of new files added especially to the framework-res.apk. If you are currently on v0.1 I would just reapply all of v0.2. As I stated earlier in this post I did not create any of these icons. In v0.2 there are 2 themes in particular that were used, and merged with Dark Horse v0.1 and all credit goes to there respective developers:
Kalagas for his work in the Milestone Forum...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=816808
Gomorrah for his BlackMod Theme...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=707772
In the next couple of days I will release v0.2 with the circle battery, there will be no other differences. As you guys can see v0.2 has a darker feel to it. Enjoy!!!
Version v0.2.5. Please read this before applying this theme. This is more or less an update to v0.2.(see change log and posted screen shots). I wanted to go with a cleaner look to this one. Sad to say that this theme is nearing completion with this release. For those of you that have had Sense-able on your phone you will see some familiar icons made it into the contacts.apk and all credit goes to jamezelle (Sense-able is one of my all time favorite ROM's). The battery icon was created by Corcor67, over in Droidforums.net. If you are coming from Dark Horse v0.2 you only need to reapply the Email.apk,Contacts.apk and the framework-res.apk. The reason that I didn't make an "update"with just those files is that I didn't want people to have to have 2 separate MM themes to get them to Dark Horse v0.2.5. For the next Dark Horse theme I would like to take a few requests of what others would like to see in the next version. With your request please tell me what you like changed and the link to the ROM you want it taken from. Please take the time to answer the poll question at the top of this post. Enjoy v0.2.5
Dark Horse v0.2.5 with circle blue battery
Dark Horse v0.2.61 This MM will not change the current status of your battery!!! It is meant as an update to v0.2.5. Will have recessed and pop up buttons, and a rounded status bar, plus anything else I want to put in it. Please check the change log for details.
v0.3
Please go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865350 for instructions on how to get the Gingerbread Keyboard installed on your device or apply to a ROM that already has it installed.
Gingerbread Keyboard Themed...among other things. This version will not change the current status of the battery
v0.4 This will be my last theme for awhile. I need to address other things in my life and obviously theming a phone in the overall scheme of things really takes a back seat to pretty much everything. I hope that everyone has enjoyed this theme. I will still leave it posted for download.
This theme has heavy influence from BlackFroyo by SamCrow here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=845530credit must be given where credit is due for a great looking theme . On this post you will be able to find the launcherpro dock that is used in the pictures below
The keyboard buttons were obtained from worksheds keyboard located on his ROM thred Froyoshedyo.
Please read this section before asking questions. If you want the black facebook option to work you need to uninstall any facebook updates using the android market and then remove FB off your device then use adb to push the black FB found here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=845530 I know its on the vibrant I installed it on my eris and it hasn't blown up yet. MM will then be able to install the inverse black facebook widget like you see posted. If you are coming from any version of DH I would just reapply everything as there so many changes I forgot what has been changed.

v0.45
I am proud to present Dark Horse v0.45.
The Darkest and possibly last of the breed. This release incorporates pieces of worksheds Froyoshedyo v10 into the theme which gives this theme a more polished look, thanks workshed for the ROM as it now is my daily driver. Please don't forget to do a nandroid backup before applying the theme. I am not responsible if you brick your phone. Please read the entire post before asking questions.
Ok with this being said I am going to break this post into two parts the first will deal with Dark Horse v0.45 and the second will deal with getting the blue and black markets on your device.
Metamorph Dark Horse v0.45
MM will only apply changes to apk's that are located in the /system/app directory of the phone and the name of the apk's must match the the MM files exactly or MM says there is no such file in /system/app and it skips the subtheme. With this being said if there is part of the MM theme you want applied using adb you need to get whatever apk in the system/app folder by using these commands. So for example if you wanted theme LauncherPro or Pandora you would execute these commands You can click on the Dark Horse Link on my signature for the list of people I have credited thorughout the versions, as without their hard work this theme would not be what it is.
adb remount
adb shell cp /sdcard/Pandrora.apk /system/app
adb shell cp /sdcard/LauncherPro.apk /system/app
Pictures are below...The signal bars are the blue and white ones.
Black and Blue Android Market (Flashable)
These two markets are newly rethemed I have been able once the markets are installed in the device you can change them by simply flashing which ever one you want over the other with no wiping needed
I recently was able to install the new android market black themed on my Eris and I have been meaning to get it posted with a tutorial on how to get it installed. First off I did not theme the market black or blue I downloaded the themed market from here and I themed to match my Dark Horse theme (not a small task either.)
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/tea...ng-apk-61.html
In order to work properly the old android market must be unistalled before this one is flashed in order for it not to either FC or download from the market. I am running Froshedyo v10 with this themed working with no FC's or download problems.
You can download both black and blue markets once installed they can be flashed over one another depending on what color you want.
Process for Unistalling prior market: This is going to require adb do not include the quotation marks.
There is three files that you will need to delete:
Vending.apk out of system/app
com.android.vending out of data/data
com.android.vending-1.apk out of data/app
If you do not unistall the market completely and run the market again all prior removed files will be put back. If you do not unistall all three files the market will still remain on your phone
Remove the files by executing these commands using adb from you AndroidSDK/tools
adb shell
You should see a # sign, that's the root terminal on your phone.
In order to remove files, you need to remount your system folder on the phone with write permissions. To do this type "mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system" (it won't say anything it will just go back to a # sign again)
Now type "cd /system/app" and then "ls"
That will list all the apk files, which are the applications.
You can remove them by typing "rm -r Whatever.apk" (it's case sensitive)
Follow this to unistall the 3 files obvoiusly you would use "cd /data/data" to get to the data/data folder and "cd /data/app" to get to data/app folder. BE VERY CAREFUL doing this. Don't just go around deleting files. Some may not be safe to delete
v0.5 Read entire section.....
This is has taken quite some time to complete, as this version as two complete launchers themed, LauncherPro and Go Launcher, along with various other changes(see change log)
LauncherPro Dark Horse Edition
Credit to signals23 as Gingerbread style LauncherPro is found here...Great job on this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=783427
Push the LauncherPro.apk at the the bottom of the post using adb to your system/app folder. If you do not want to use his version of LauncherPro my theme will apply over the one you have on your device just make sure it is named LauncherPro.apk. Below is pictured his version of Launcher Pro with my Dark Horse theme applied. The non Gingerbread Launcher Pro widget with DH0.5 applied is on the right.
Go Launcher Dark Horse Edition:
This is a new theme that I included for Go launcher and as far as I know this maybe the first theme for this launcher. The apk is at the bottom of the post just use adb to push it to the system/app folder. I have found this launcher to be very smooth and I enjoy having both Launcherpro and Go Launcher on my phone. Below are some themed pics
The dev's website is http://www.goforandroid.com/
I encourage you to visit it to check out the look of the original launcher.
v0.53
This version of DH is my favorite, a considerable amount of time was used to clean up the status bar icons, they were either changed or re themed by myself. The 3g icon was created by fashoughing from pieces from my DH theme which he used in his monster drink theme and I re themed it to use it in this version of DH. He did a great job with it. Our two themes are the only ones that have this particular 3g icon. Please look at the change log to see what changed. This version includes the fix that I posted earlier that made its way to DHv0.51. Without further adeiu pics and a download link.
v0.53 Gingerbread Edition
I have tried this version on GSBv1.2, I will assume it will work with Tazz's ROM as well as it is CM7. Do a nandroid in case. Trying to figure out where the grey areas as located on the notification bar other then that should be identical to Froyo based DH versions. Pictures are above on the v 0.53 section.
v0.54 Gingerbread Edition
Fixed ugly gray areas on notification bar enjoy

If/when you release it, could you include a theme with the circle battery or a flashable zip to change it? Either one would be fine by me.

I've been using simplistic for who knows how long. When/if this is released, I will no longer have simplistic! Keep it up!
Theme almost Done
The theme is nearing completion, and I still don't know how to make it flashable yet, the other option would be to zip the apk's and you guys would have to push them to the system/app folder.

Replied. Any questions, just let me know. I gave you better options to get a hold of me if needed.

Very nice! Will you be doing any modifications to it? I might give it a try if you put the clock back in the status bar. I see the app screen has it but it's black on black. I don't use a clock widget.

you can put the clock back under cyanogen mod settings--user interface--statusbar. I dont like the clock so I have it off. You can also use cyangenmod settings to change the color of the clock to make it reappear may need a reboot though

I really really like this theme on my phone, but it hasnt all applied yet. I have tried running it through MM like 5 times. I cant get the maps, facebook, car home, and calender to apply. Also it keeps FC'ing when it gets to phone. Any ideas? I am running CELB 3.5 if it helps.

the force close on the phone install is normal you just need to reboot the phone and it will fix that...Maps never made it on the theme sorry a mistake on my part will probably make it on 0.2. There is no MM in the theme for facebook, carhome. I will check into the calender thing though. I'm glad that you like the theme
I am using the GalaxyS theme with Vegan 5.1 right now and for the most part I really like it, problem is the status icons are horrible. I tried pulling the green icons out of the GreenV2 theme and using ninjamorph to combine them with the GS theme. (I would just flash the GreenV2 theme, but I can't stand all the other green stuff in it) Anyway, whenever I push the framework back in with NM, I go into a bootloop.
Can anyone with experience with this stuff find it in their hearts to combine these two themes and create a flashable zip? All I want are the status icons and I can provide all the files needed since they don;t seem to be readily available on the forum anymore.

Hi Everybody, This post is for two reasons:
I wanted to post all the mods / hacks that I've made for the Tiamat Moray Rom in one place, instead of on random comments.
I've made a theme for my Xoom, to remove the blue glow that exists on a lot of the stock Honeycomb elements in the main interface.
Here's what I've accomplished so far for the theme. Click on a picture to enlarge:
What I've Done:
replaced the back / home / multitask / options icons on the navigation bar, the Wifi / Battery icons in the notification area, and the Apps / + icons on the top right of the launcher, with the icons from the GalaxyTab 10.1 Touchwiz UX Theme. They are all very similar to the stock icons, but don't have a glow effect on them. (See pic #1).
changed the clock colour in the main navigation bar to a grey, to match the new navigation icons.
removed the blue glow & outlines from the popups around the notification area. Also, removed the transparency in these popups, and recoloured the top one a dark grey/black combo. (See pics #2 - normal, #3 - pressed, and #4 - quick settings).
removed the blue glow & outline from the program tiles in the multitasking popup. (See pic #5).
replaced the settings background, where there used to be a blue glow, with a single-colour image in dark grey (see pic #6). This also had the unintended but pleasant side effect of replacing the background on the browser bookmarks window (see pic #7) , and in some programs like File Manager HD (see pic #8). I guess they all use the same image that I changed in the framework-res.apk file.
replaced the calendar background, from white with the two blue glowing ellipses, to a subtle white to grey gradient. (See pic #9).
"solidified" the clock font on the quick settings menus and lockscreen, to remove the semi-transparent two-toned effect. (See pic #10)
removed the blue glow from the inactive tabs in the browser. (See pic #11)
Downloads (Themes for Tiamat Moray 2.2.2):
Here are CWM flashable zip files. They all edit the same files, so do NOT flash more than one of these at a time, expecting it to work.
Stock Battery and Wifi Icons - Replaces the custom Battery and Wifi icons in the Moray Rom, with stock honeycomb icons. This is 100% compatible with Moray as the System and Framework files were taken from Moray and the battery/wifi images were replaced. Nothing else has been edited, so your Xoom will still look 100% Honeycomb.
My Theme - This is my theme. If you do not want the clock font changed, open the zip file, and delete the system/fonts/ folder. Do not delete any of the apk files in any other folder.
Restore to Stock Tiamat Theme - This is a restore package, in case you want to go back to the stock Tiamat Moray theme. It contains original versions of the files I changed in my theme, so that you don't have to flash the entire Rom over again.
Downloads (Mods / Fixes / Other):
Here are CWM flashable zip files, that contain each of the Mods.
GMail fix - The GMail.apk file from the old Tiamat MantaRay rom. It fixes a force close problem that some users get when multiple GMail accounts are in use on Hammerhead 2.1 or Moray 2.2, it is unnecessary on Moray 2.2.1/2.2.2.
Alarm Clock fix - The DeskClock.apk file from the Asus Transformer. It fixes a force close problem that some users get when turning on an alarm via the check mark in Moray 2.2. As a bonus, it also installs a very minimalist date widget that you may choose to use, or not.
Arial Clock Fonts - Changes the clock font for the lockscreen / notification area / settings popup to an Arial font, similar to Touchwiz UX on the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Blue Striped Wallpaper - The background wallpaper in the preview pics above.
I would like to give a huge thanks to Bazar6 over on Xoom Forums for his tutorial "How To Theme Your Xoom" - without it, I would not have been able to do any of this! I would also like to thank the Tiamat team for making such an awesome Rom!
Suggestions are always welcome. If you can think of any other changes I can make, let me know.
Thanks!
MasterSlacker.
i go to try it, looks good.
Nicely done. I was never fond of the blue glow.

Will these work with 2.2.1? Thought I would check first.

I did it based off of the 2.2 Rom. Give me a day or so, and I'll update it to 2.2.1 - I just need to figure out which of the files changed from 2.2 to 2.2.1, and I'll need to update my own Xoom to 2.2.1 as well
Cool! Will give it a test go. Without having a glow it looks like it might possibly sport a cleaner look than before with the glow. Let's see how I like it. I'm curretnyl using the Galaxy theme already so it should be just fine.
EDIT: I just installed the theme: It's not bad, so far I like it. I think I will keep it for now. Nice work so far.
Alright, updated the theme for Moray 2.2.1 - files in the first post.
Thanks so much. This link is now added to "my favorites"
Great work, thanks!
Edit: I cant add live wallpapers. Just me?

I use ADW, but cleared defualts and can't add them from Stock launcher either. I only flashed Arcterus kernel. And 2.2.1 first.
I do use Honeybar and virtual bar. And wallpaper wizardry
Wow. I was sold on the stargate theme but this is gorgeous. As I want 2.2.1 might use your theme with widgets etc from stargate so I get best of both ;-)

Glad you got it all working ... whatever you did
really nice work, MS, thanks for sharing your theme... had been using the ported touchwoz theme, but this is simpler and I like it better... tried replacing the clock fonts (renamed yours with .old and copied mine, based on ubuntu) and got thrown into a bootloop from which I couldn't recover without reflashing moray entirely - any ideas what might have caused that?

Fell free to check out our rom git at
http://git.code.tiamat-dev.com/roms/tiamat-xoom.git
Using the git log will make your job alot easier. Also, since we believe in the spirit of open source, feel free to clone the git and submit pull requests to have mods added to rom. Me and solarnz are on #xoom on freenode. Hit us up.

Thanks for the suggestion, but to be honest, half of that went right over my head. It's been so long since I was in the software development industry.
Right now, I've only been editing png images. I've tried editing XML files, but for the life of me I can't get it to work. So what I've done to make it easier for me in the future, is to have a directory tree of all my edited images, in each respective folder, of each apk file. That way, if and when you release a new rom, I can just open the apk files from the rom download, and copy my edited pngs directly into it.
Also, my "mods" aren't really modifications to the way the rom works - I just did some experimenting with alternate GMail and DeskClock apks, and the force closes that I got on Hammerhead and Moray 2.2 stopped.
I hope this makes sense. I definitely appreciate all the work that you and the rest of the Tiamat team have put into this amazing Rom for the Xoom!
Downloading now...Thanks
I'm still rocking KitKat 4.4.4 on my Moto X 1Gen because I prefer my Xposed modules over Lollipop. That being said, thanks to a combination of CM11 themes and some Xposed modules, I've given my phone a personalized near-Lollipop look. There are, however, a couple of things I need help with, if anyone is willing.
I'm using a theme called L Style White, which was included in a 2-in-1 theme apk called KitKat White, which has since been removed from the Play Store for having "KitKat" in its name. Since it's no longer available, I've cracked it open several times and made some adjustments and changes, for my own personal use. I have no intentions of sharing/uploading a mod of someone else's initial work on the Play Store. I just made it for myself. I've added a lot of Lollipop elements from other CM11 themes that I liked. But there are two things I can't figure out how to theme on my own, and I was hoping someone more skillful with creating themes would be willing to help me out.
The first thing is the Google "Ears" sound search widget. I'd like to theme it to have a white background and dark text (so it will be visible on the white background). This one seems simple enough, but I can't seem to work it out on my own. Hopefully someone here can.
The second thing is the Reboot dialog, or really any dialog, I guess. I want to remove the white line under the title. This seems to exist on pretty much all dialogs that use the native framework, not JUST the advanced reboot menu. As you can see, it's already themed somewhat in the LiquidSmooth 4.4.4 ROM I'm using. I'd just like to make it more Lollipop style by removing that line. (On holo-light dialog popups, it's a dark line instead). I'm fine with the colors and everything on this; just want to make it more Lollipop style in its overall look. I've included a screenshot of an app that uses the style I'm wanting. Again, I don't care about changing the colors, just the layout of the title and stuff.
So there. Sorry that was so long. Hopefully someone took the time to read it anyway. If I need to, I can share the apk of the theme I'm using, but I'd rather do so privately, since it wasn't my work to begin with. I really just need whatever files/resources/xmls I can drop into the appropriate folder in the 'Overlays' section of the theme apk. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and would also help me learn more by example.
