I tried to go through most of the forum posts but I dont think I could find my answers..
I was wondering if anyone knows what is wrong with my phone. I did an update and now my phone wont work back to normal. All it shows up is the G1 words across a black screen and that is about it.
When I tried to do a reboot it wouldn't work, I can no longer connect my phone with my USB to the computer, so what other options do I have with this matter? I know my phone isn't a brick.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks and good night..

I thought this was more appropriate, since according to the OP he searched and couldn't find an answer anywhere on the forums, and this shows that there are in fact thousands of his exact question that have been answered. I like the shock and awe of 57,900 results.

Well, supreme was there for 5 posts. Then it was me, bman and brutal hoe and some stragglers. Surprised it's still not closed and we're still not banned

I agree that this "user" was wrongful in creating this thread in the wrong forum/sub-forum, but let it go.
XDA Ops need to do a little better job in tightening up security as well as cleaning up the forums and promoting more mods....

It's my super slim bug free rom. It's not for everyone but it's my favorite setup
Well I would say try it out cause it rocks but if you wait a few hours it will be jit enabled thanks to Regaw for writing a jit enable/disable script for it

yo, neb, don't post the JIT tool I made for 7ROM in your sig, i made a few revisions.

my rule of thumb is i won't install any rom without a screenshot first. there's no such thing as a super secret rom.

well a screenshot will show you what all other screenshots show. a homescreen, and some other things, which are completely customizable by you to your likings anyway lol so what good is a screenshot, really?

The only ROMs that I know of that work with an overclocking app would be
Fresh Toast v1.1
DarchDroid v2.5.1.2 (not sure about this one though)
or maybe DarchLegend OC5.06 (He hasn't updated in a little while though, so I assume he is working on something big. )
If you come back with some actual info OP, we could help you.. otherwise..

Well a simple question obviously causes a lot of frustration in people. If it bothers you so much tell someone who can move it, otherwise move along.
Yes this question should have been posted elsewhere, but obviously this person is fairly new to this whole "phone modding" thing... and forums.
So we can either ***** about it like we were never so inept, or we can be adults and try and help them. (also keep in mind the forum structure just kinda flipped recently)
Back on topic, everyone else has asked the right questions, what ROM you are using (if any) will determine the right answer. You gotta meet us all half-way, but Jugsy seems to put the best answer to the vague question.
Any current ROM other than those will not work with overclocking apps.
does the 1 click root method still work on android 1.6 with the Tmobile G1?

a simple google search of "one click root 1.6" .... the first result says, in the little description "The issue is that the only way devs know how to root 1.6 is to downgrade to 1.5"

well first off you need to know how to spell. but no it hasnt ever worked. its been thatway for about a year. you would have known that if you actually searched. ps maybe no one replies because you ask obvious questions that you would know the answers to if you took the time to search it? its a good skill to learn if you want to continue to be an active member of XDA
