Make sure when you zip the folders with the images, you are not compressing it. The .zip is just for storage & will not boot if compressed.
===============
Here's what you do
===============
1. Extract the files from the bootanimation.zip you created.
2. Make the same archive in winrar/zip/7z but set compression method to 'Store'
3. Replace the bootanimation.zip that won't boot with the one you just made
4. Reboot
5. Marvel at your very own bootanimation
6. Hit the thanks button
Thankyou very much
No problem amigo
thanks!

Hey guys,
I've enjoyed ARHD and XDA for so long - i thought i would give something back to the community.
This took me a few hours last night to work on - i've tested it on my own and it works great.
Test it out and tell me if you like it or not
Here is a .gif preview:
It may be different timing than the actual load (faster or slower depending on internet connection)
Also - the quality is blurry on this... it is less blurry (for me) on the actual phone:
Download Here
Enjoy!
Feedback welcome!
GUIDE TO CHANGE BOOT ANIMATION:
1. Download zip from link in OP
2. Download on your phone Root Explorer or use ES File explorer or a similar app.
3. Go to /system/data/local on your phone, and make a copy of bootanimation.zip on your SD Card
4. Place my bootanimation.zip onto SD Card (make sure you RENAME IT so it doesn't override stock bootanimation.
5. Move downloaded zip from SD card to /system/data/local and rename again to bootanimation.zip
6. reboot phone
Enjoy a new custom ARHD boot animation!
My bootanimation was found in data/drm and I copied & pasted a bootanimation in there to replace the old one but nothing happened, do I need to remove the old boot from there completely. I renamed it (the old one that is) but still no change in my boot.
Any answers
i knw it sounds crazy "port" for bootanimation but i specially created this animation for streak 5 so thought why not use for other streak models, it has boot sound too...dunno whether S7 supports audio while booting...below is the link where i first posted for S5

If you want to backup your current bootanimation file then simply rename or copy somewhere else.
Don't do reboots just to see the bootanimation as reboots effects battery life so i made a gif animation and to hear with audio, a youtube link is uploaded.
Flashable file(MADbootanimation_Rfix.zip) (CWM recovery) and two files(bootanimation_Rfix.zip and android_audio.mp3) (root explorer) are provided in below links.
For 2nd method download bootanimation_Rfix.zip and rename to bootanimation.zip.
Hit my thanks meter and enjoy
All flashable files resides in 'system/media/"...." only'.
For different roms who have different places like data/local/"...." select the 2nd method of installation process.
Full animation preview may differ on different roms depending upon time of booting to lockscreen.
I do not have streak7 and havn't use any yet but i hope it's pretty same and will work for S7 so nandroid backup is recommended.
Follow all the steps carefully as we are all not PROFESSIONALS.

If I read this correctly I must be rooted to work??
IF so that I just want to say thanks for from the ones that use this on rooted machines!
I have tried all the steps and can not seem to root my device via the USB process and none of the rooting processes I have been pointed to work from the SIM CARD, on my factory Referbed 3.x installed WiFi device.

the wifi variant of the device doesnt have a SIM card slot, I suggest you know the names of what you are using before you ask for help, if you cant tell the difference between an SD card and a SIM card you probably shouldnt be f***ing around with stuff on here, just saying that it'd be for the best if learnt some more basic stuff before you did anything
I always admired this boot animation! Great work. You should give credit to Dell...not! haha
Hey folks,
just a quick one for those who are interested. You can set a custom Bootup Animation. Most/All Animations you find online will work. Mind though, with the Mate 7 you won't be able to use provided flushable Zip files. So here's a short how-to
1. Download the Animation you want
1.1 Determine if the zip is a flashable file or the Animation itself (both are zip files)
If you don't now, unpack the file. If its folders named "Part1, Part2,..." You have the Animation. If you see a "System" folder, it's flashable.
1.2 in case of flushable: Browse to "\System\Media" and save the zip file on your PC
2. Push the Zip File to your Phone (Anywhere you are able to find it again )
3. Use a Root Explorer on your Phone (i like ES Explorer) and mount your "root" as RW (google the exact steps for your chosen Explorer)
4. Copy the "boot animation.zip" to "\cust\preinstalled\pubilc\media"
5. Reboot and Enjoy
Just for you, i'll add the Stock Android L Bootanimation:
Android L Bootanimation - OneDrive
If you have any Questions, or something doesn't work, let me know.
Hey Guyz I'm back But this Time with OREO Boot Animation for our Moto G3...... Hope U would Like it
Requirements:
1. Rooted Moto G 2015 Device
2. Es File Explorer or Any Explorer that gives you excess to Root Folder
3. Dont flash the zip file using custom recovery as it wont work
Download the Zip file from The Attachment and Follow the Instruction carefully :
Installation:
1 . Download the ES file Manager or Root Explorer from the Play store.
2. Open Root Browser (or your file manager) app and once inside, locate your original boot animation file (bootanimation.zip) in /system/media. See Image No 1.
3. Long-press the file, choose Rename and name it to bootanimation1.zip see image No 2.
4. Next, browse to the custom boot animation that you want to switch to, copy the zip file to /system/media. Long-press, choose Permission.
5. Tick the boxes as shown in the screenshot below, and press OK. After that, rename the file to bootanimation.zip, if the zip file name is different. see image no 3.
Note: You have to make sure that the file name is correct (bootanimation.zip) for the system to recognize your boot animation, and boot properly. see image no 4.
6. Now you should be able to see two zip files, one, bootanimation.zip (new file) and the other is bootanimation.zip1 (original).
Note: If you ever want to switch back to your original boot animation, delete the current bootanimation.zip and rename the original file back to bootanimation.zip (from bootanimation.zip1).
I have Also Attached the Image File of these instructions step by step for clear understanding......
