What do you think about it or do u have other proposition.
My Android:
ver: 2.3.5
I9000BVJV3
Version Number: GINGERBREAD.BVJVC
I'm waiting for answer:
Best Regards,
Adikus

heyy man .. i think u r cf rooted ..
install any of the rom u mentioned..
personally i prefer paranoid android jb..
if u dont want cf root thing ..install darky rom resurrection 10.2 with odin and forget about rooting ,,its already rooted ..
now install whatever rom u want to use..
it should be perfect installation ..

But before change rom i need to have rooted phone becouse i want to do backupe on my rom.
Can u give me app to root my mp???

alright .use go back up for this

And i can't turn on my phone =/
Can u help me now?

What you need to do is to put it to download mode(hold down volume home and power off keys together to enter download mode) then use odin to flash cf root.

i used all the alphas so i would suggest you not to update right now as you will complain and will go back to gingerbread within 1-2 days [even less].. its in dev stage.. so let it be daily usable and then update....
if you are very much eager to update it then you have to follow same procedure used for installing custom roms.. do take backup of current rom as it will wipe [format] all stuffs
I'm just putting this bit of some a**hole-y advice:
If you don't know how to downgrade back to GB, you shouldn't really flash ICS.
its easy....download any rom of 2.3.x u want to install
put it into ur sdcard
open ur phone in recovery mode
chose install zip from sdcard
select the zip file u downloaded
let it install
then do a factory reset from recovery and wipe cache then reboot n u will be booting in 2.3.x
the legacy version of 4.0.1 works kinda good
i.ve installed nova launcher etc
and it works great only some bugs
Are you looking to me?? i have an chinese ARMY !! (-(-(-.-)-)-)

First of all: Have you considered updating your Firmware with Samsung Kies or OTA? You are still on Froyo but the latest official Samsung Update for the i9000 is 2.3.x Gingerbread ( you can do it OTA. For this, go in your phone to settings--> about phone--> system updates).
Second: You need root rights to install custom ROMs and some apps like NSTOOLS (for e.g.). Here is a link, which shows you how to root your I9000 running Froyo: http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile...t-samsung-galaxy-s-i9000-with-a-single-click/
Flashing means nothing else then to install a newer version of your operating system.
Third: When you update (flash) your device, the lags should be gone.
Samsung kies cannot view/read my firmware version and i dunno why:/
i really wanna fix this mobile bcoz it's too laggy and keeps freezing.. T_T
how to flash my mobile? what's the difference between flash and upgrade?? and the rooting link that you gave me isn't working anymore.. no more megaupload:/
pls help meeee thans>.<

Have you tried updating over the air (OTA) ?
Maybe you should consider this option: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494493
Try to do it step by step.
P.s.: All your phones data will be lost.
P.p.s: Flash and upgrade is basically the same. But flashing is a common expression, when you do it on your own and not via KIES oder OTA (that´s how I explained the difference for myself ;-) .
that's ics? how bout gingerbread? sorry i'm just a beginner..
how to flash it the easiest way? i mean just to fix lags etc. ~
Try it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14273101&postcount=1
It´s for Gingerbread and you´ll find everything you need in this thread to flash your device. If you have any question, feel free to ask. But I´m sure you can handle it! It´s really easy.
P.s.: The easiest way would be with KIES! But this obviously don´t work for you.
Hi Mimi my recommend for you that's to flash one of the ics rom its really fast .. my galaxy i9000 was like your I flashed the ics (right now I am use dark knight 2.1) and now I am happy from this rom flash it you will happy:
1)first flash a stock rom in Odin (you will found how to do that in the forum)
2) download the zip file for your rom(that you want to flashed(my recommend its onesomic or dark knight2.1)
3) do full wipe
4)recovery mode>install zip from SD card>choosing the zip>yes-install
5)flash a kernel(my recommend last semaphore kernel(right now 0.9.1))
Then injoy with fast galaxy s i9000..
Good luck...!
NOTE:its really easy don't afraid if you had any problem in the flashing rom we here to help you ...
I hope for you good luck !!

If its rooted then it has clock work mod recovery install, so just install rom manager from market and select reboot into recovery, have the custom rom's zip copied on your memory card, then after rebooting into recovery do wipe data and reset then select install zip from memory card and select the copied .zip file and it gets install new rom. Zeus is good custom rom, marvel v7 is also good

I think that you have not quite understand.whichever rom you are going to flash has a specific base.for example zeus has 2.3.4 v20o as a base.when you flash it your phone will have 2.3.4 v20o as a base.what you had before is irrelevant.since you flash a different based rom your firmware will change.take a look at the noob how to that i posted above.it refers to kernels and bases.if you flash nova rom for example then you go back to 2.2.2 froyo.if you flash miui you have 2.3.7.it foesn't matterwhat you have now.try to find some things on your own because we went way off topic and the moderator will close the thread.search is your assistant.

once youre rooted, it dosent matter what base youre using..... cos when you flash a rom you flash together with the base so it changes your whole phone software..... so its no problem switching between bases, you can even flash back froyo/ donut and go back to gb if you want.... but make sure you do your full wipes...
for roms, once rooted, only the type of device is specific.... type of base is not....(unless specified)
eg. you cannot flash an ics rom made for htc evo on your OB but what you can do is flash any kind of rom with any kind of base which was made specifically for OB

Did you checked md5 checksum? Maybe file was corrupted.

can you suggest any app for checking it??

Alternatively, bit more hassle, but,
There's a very handy app called Framaroot in the Apps and Games section which should *theoretically* root any 2.3.6 for our phone. I don't know whether BUJVG would be supporte, although I don't see why not.
Use that to root, then download Semaphore GB and SGS kernel flasher, both in these forums. Install SGS kerne flasher, flash Semaphore GB (or any other GB kernel that could perhaps support your firmware, last time I checked kernels were firmware specific. So you may have to do a bit of digging around to see if there's a kernel that supports all.)
If not, try find a CWM flasher (and don't use ROM manager on Play Store, that's not very helpful...) of some kind.
Bit more hassle, and considering your phone's firmware seems to be localised and not a more generic firmware it may not work, but hey, worth a shot.
If that doesn't work, follow the guide compacity posted.

Go here and flash the GIngerbread Semaphore kernel, you will get root and CWM or use framaroot app, if you only want root.

the downloads are listed for you on that link, you need to read and comprehend it, if you are flashing the JVU ROM, the kernel is already attached with it, if you want to flash the kernel only already mentioned earlier download gingerbread semaphore kernel latest version will do.

You have posted in the Wrong Section. Questions go in the Q & A Section. Read the Sections before you post or just understand it, buddy. Answering your question, first root your Phone. Second, flash CWM Recovery. This will allow you to install ROM's. Third, choose the ROM of your choice. It can be any Versions starting from 2.2 to 4.4(CM 9 to CM11). CM7 is the best and lag free for our Phones with Good Battery Backup when compared to CM9 & CM10
I guess u can easily to install custom rom, no need to update your software...
