Nope, but there is 0 point in not rooting IMO. You can always return to stock no matter how you screw stuff up because the nook is set to boot via SD first.

You have been asking about this since May. Why don't you just root it already? It's not gonna happen on the stock NC.

We arent able to, but you can use an older unlocked bootloader and then modify the boot.img accordingly.

Also we (P970 community) don't need to unlock the new bootloader atm.We can just use the already unlocked one that Lg gave us with GB.
I am fairly the KU5900 community is able to use CWM with the supposedly locked bootloader (Or used a similar aproach we used and used old bootloader). Check their forums.

Download a P970 ROM in KDZ format then convert it using LG Extract tool then using Smart Flash Tool flash the bin and fls file to your KU5900 then viola you got a Korean OB with P970 ROM that has unlocked bootloader. I'd suggest flash a stock froyo rom of P970 cos its easier to root then you can install CWM.

*facepalm
Firstly if you have KU5900 using P970. You lose the ability to use 5GB of your internal memory.
Secondly if you have unlocked bootloader you can inject CWM before flashing with SFT.
Thirdly you can just use KU5900 ROM that has unlocked bootloader and inject CWM.

You can't. The V28C comes with locked bootloader and we need source to make a kernel thats compatible with old bootloader.

forgot to tell, right you'll lose the 5gb internal, cos that's how i did it before in my ku5900, after i flashed it to p970 rom i was able to use any rom i want. guess yours is the easier way.
Hi guys,
Sorry if I've missed something.
Is there anyway to root JellyBean on a locked bootloader, even if it means downrading?
Thanks.

Just run an RUU on it
http://www.androidfiles.org/ruu/?dir=M7
If it wont let you, you could always pull the rom.zip and flash the system image

Just wait for it. For now, you can use the miui launcher if you're not already using it.
The only downside I have too many apps xD
