Safestrap 3 coming for Atrix HD - Motorola Atrix HD

Read some tweets, it seems Safestrap 3 is coming to our phones. So we can expect ROMs now? Someone explain how it works?

Hashcode (@Hashcode0f) tweeted at 9:06 PM on Fri, Nov 02, 2012:
#SS3 is coming for RAZR-HD(and probably Atrix-HD) and RAZR-M. I don't have the devices so its taking a while to fix a few bugs.

Not development.
Not that I am aware of at least.
and according to this link [HERE] it's never going to happen.

Razr HD & Max recovery

From what I've been reading in the dev section here for the AHD, a port of the Razor HD recovery "supposedly" will work with our AHD with only a few lines changed in it.
Just found out the RZR HD got their recovery here:
http://aosp.us/?p=341
Porting over a recovery is a bit above my pay grade so I thought I'd post it in case someone else would know how to do so.

For the dev version. We have to wait on safestrap for them. In other words a recovery for a non-dev devicw

is there anyone who is working on a port or has the knowledge to do a port?

If Hashcode can't do it, then very few probably could.

Well this is the one thing that would keep me from selling my phone, and buying the new Nexus 4.
All that's lacking from this phone is a working custom recovery!
Great news!

Hashcode just released a beta for RAZR HD that should work with the ahd. So once the kinks are worked out we may get a custom recovery...

Yes no menu keys on atrix HD, just soft keys. On Twitter with dev trying to figure it out.

Looks like Atrix HD has a different touch controller than RAZR-HD. I need a "ls -l /system/usr/idc" ran for me on the Atrix HD stock ROM.

Soak Test Q4

Just got an email for a Q4 soak test. Thinking we may have an official JB release soon.
Yes I'm reverting back to Stock ICS

When. Can we expect exact date of update
Sent from my XT890 using xda app-developers app
Usually about two weeks for official release.
Soak should be out in the next couple days.
Sent from my MB886 using xda premium
Motorola told me that the estimate would be up to 5-7 days because of thanksgiving
How would this soak test version be different than the leaked version?
How would we update to the soak test version?
will there be a special update for people who install the soak test version to go to the official jb release?

Well I found that leak a long time ago so I am expecting a lot smoother, faster, more stable rom. Remember you need to be signed up for the soak test to get it.
Also hopefully more like the Razr Rom lol. There ROM is much "slicker" than what our is.

No. Unless there is a major problem with the ROM, it will be the official release.

do we know if it is 4.1.1 or 4.1.2?

We won't know that until it is released, but if the leak is any judge of what is coming I would guess 4.1.1.

A friend at moto saw a test version of 4.1.2 so that might be the final release
Sent from my MB886 using xda premium
Just Google mb886_4.1.1.json from there you will see Google code site click on it it seems like 4.1.1 and gives version number look in mb886_4.1.1.json. that site has more than just the atrix HD on there. The site does not provide any files you can use on the phone other than a text editor
Edited because forum moderator wanted me to remove the link.

It's a great source to have, and if Moto sees the link publicly posted as information they will in no doubt remove the source. Not smart to post it publicly and ruin it for everyone.

The cm10.1 4/19 build along with modified kernel work perfectly, fixes GPS too! Just look through the last 4 pages of the cm 10.1 thread and you'll find it.

I'm curious as to why not? Motorola did release the sources for the previous version. I seriously hope that it does do the needful.
Do not threads that do not actually take development forward in the development section
