The: I got an iPhone forum

Hey everyone, it's true. I got a hipster white iPhone. And I love it!
Here's how it happened. I some how got water under my battery and it's cover (a decent amount) and I tried turning it on and charging it. It didn't start so I put it in rice, for two days nothing happened.
I needed a phone so I used my upgrade for the fruit phone. I noticed the battery life is amazing, like really amazing. I haven't jailbroken it yet because I'm starting to think its just waste of time. Unless your cracking apps...
Or tethering
Overall I couldn't be happier, I won't say I'm an I sheep because I don't even have iTunes on my linux machine so I only use pandora. But yes, I will buy the iPhone 5 unless the next nexus (jellybean 1) is able to feel as fluid as ios. No more exuces. Duces.
Oh yeah I found out the nexus battery got shorted out by the water so I just order the extended battery. So I'm braking my Optimus s and puting the nexus on. So yes I will still be around these parts of the Internet.
Also why is the iPhone forum here blank?
Feel free to post your android to IOS transition here I suppose.

Why aren't there more iPhone posts on an Android forum? I'd think that would be self-evident. >.>

well well.. my friends all have an iphone 4. now im the only one with a Nexus S. one thing that I have to admit of the iphone: the retina display looks crazy beautiful man.. if there was a android phone with it it would be . BUT the iphone really really sucks in multitasking!!!

Sorry, but every time i see a white iphone,

For the OP and many others...in case you haven't noticed, XDA has a sister site (iphone-developers) where you can show all of the love for the iphone.
So post there . To the OP..one more and you are out of xda for sure.

Asus aren't the only one

Apple seems to be also having quality control issues with the iPhone 5, users are reporting marks, scratches, rattling lenses, missing headphones, not charging, yellow screens, light bleeding etc out of the box... they are having a good ole meltdown(It's a £530 and up phone so I don't blame them). I preordered the iPhone 5 as well and I'm crossing my fingers and toes that I don't get one of those. Is Foxconn to blame for all these scandalous Quality Control(I'm assuming they made the Nexus 7 too right?)?

Wow, I thought Nexus 7 problemes were severe, but these little dents are absolutely not acceptable /irony.
However, I have seen how easily it is scrated, therefore I am happy to see all isheep boasting about how thin their devices are only to put them in thick cases

The device is already available for sale. If I'm going to pay $700+ for a phone, it better be perfect!
That said, I never owned an Apple product and never will...

I'm not sure why people ever compared things to Apple as if they are the supreme target to base judgment on. Apple has always had qc issues... Just like countless other tech companies out there. Nobody is perfect and lemons will exist to some degree.

Nexus Excitement

I know many are just excited as I am about the N4 so I want to talk about all the good things about it. Is anyone else more anxious about the phone because of the lack of the press event? I find myself checking every couple hours for a good hands on video to admire. Ahhh, the nexus butterflies all over again

The only hands on videos are from reviewers at a Google demo. Actual review units have been sent out already apparently. We will have to wait until the NDA lifts to see the results though and I imagine it will not be until the week of release.

This is one I've seen that shows off the hardware pretty well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5OOKh6CGzc&feature=youtube_gdata_player. I have to say the phone looks stunning. Seeing the phone at mostly odd angles and short clips makes me more curious about it. I'm super excited

I'm a fan of SAMOLED but this LCD has impressive colors and black level even when she cranked up the brightness.

I was a fan but not so much after owning three phones that had it. I want more accuracy now and brighter screens. The only things that made my galaxy nexus' screen usable was the color/gamma mod and supercurio's app. I look forward to the change

I think separately looking on what you get in the box on the play store page. When the verge did their video it was still in prototype.

And I won't break any rules this time, I'll make sure to ask permission from the creator to edit his/her content and post it on our device, and this will be the LAST ROM I will be porting, if I do. After that, I'm done porting and I will be upgrading to either the iPhone 5 or the HTC One or S Blaze​

I've thought about getting a Windows Phone. Specifically the Lumia 521. I love the UI and hardware but I think not having apps like Instagram would be hard (its my favorite social network). I have also thought about the LG L9.

I've thought about the One S or the iPhone 5 because no one has the One S that I know and everyone that I know has an iPhone, and I feel left out. XD

The iPhone 5 is nice. Especially the camera. I would get one but I cannot afford it. I would get the iPhone over the One S, better hardware and the new iOS update should be pretty remarkable with Johnny Ive handling it.

One s, you can always count in devs for android devices. The iPhone us crap, my uncle gas one and so dies my brother and they hate it. It's worst then thus pine in my honest opinion

I might get a nexus 4 or an Htc phone/S4. I'm still debating to get an iPhone though, since only one of my friends has them.

Good luck with that. Theres going to be a day when apple loses its spot in the spotlight and goes after everyone who jailbreaked there software to make up for loss. Just like im sure they had something to do with making phone unlocking illegal.
