I am new to this forum, i saw n registered it today on date 10/NOV/12.
To be exact am completely new to these tech things, today only i came to know tat i can update my galaxy s gt-i9000 cell's OS from 2.3.3 to 4.0.
As i told before am complete newbie to these things n i dont use internet alot. The only thing i want is to update my galaxy S1 OS to 4.0 n if possible i want to make it little faster.
PLZ TEL ME HOW TO DO IT IN STEP BY STEP DETAILS AS IF YOU R MY MOTHER AND IAM YOUR 5 YEAR OLD CHILD.

No need to let people tell u what 2 do. Especially not in a way u would tell a 5 year old child. Sounding kinda lazy, if you ask me. Search and make a little effort since u already did some research. I would say do some more.
And if u really want it, u can even upgrade your OS to 4.1.x (jelly bean)

you can learn more by using the WIKI , Android Glossary or Wikipedia for guidance about your phone.
Use XDA Search, XDA user Guide, XDA Forum Rules or the XDA Mantra to understand and participate in this forum .
Must Watch XDA Noob Guide[/CENTER]
so use the glossary for any term you want to know and use My Guides and Manuals for any other details.

to be honest the instructions u find here r pretty much what anyone would reiterate to u if they decided to aim u.
if u just got ur tilt and fully read all the stickies related to kaiser, including sublinks, than u shouldn't hav any trouble getting a new rom.
just remember be4 u flash any rom u HAVE TO flash hardspl onto ur device.

Just a question, and a serious one at that: Is English your first language?
It appears to me you are speaking a very bad form of Ebonics, which is NOT a recognized language in any country that I am aware of.
"Finna" could be a typo for "Gonna", or it could be "Fixing to" which would generally be associated with an individual from oh say... New Orleans.
Please, try to use proper English on here. I realize that some people do not have the spelling or grammar skills, either by choice or lack of ability, but the closer you get to English, the easier it is for us to help you.

i feel you man.
when i came over from htc to samsung,the flashing guides are like all over the place.
no standardization at to how to flash this and flash tat.very very different from htc where once u get an unlocked bootloader,BOOM,u go flashing like no tml with no flash counter watsoever.
samsung??? jeez man,flash counters are like herpes,doesn't go away if u dun know wat to apply.
thats jus my *****ing.but still dude,u still need to read and gain knowledge in flashing custom roms.this is to educate yourself the risk (of bricking) u are getting into when flashing roms.no amount of instructions can help you on that one.you jus need to know what in god's name u are doing.
so i'll do u a favor and point you to reading the flashing guide by dr ketan.no links as this one is stickied for all noobs to read.

I think that you should go through the threads which are meant for newcomers who want to play with their phone and roms so that you know how to recover your phone if something goes wrong because doing things without proper knowledge can change your phone into a beautiful paper weight.Go through the following thread which can give a clear idea about flashing official ICS for Germany but I strongly advice to think and proceed or probably wait for your country's turn to get official ICS...

ive been on here for 1hour + and all people post about if how to install bootloader and stuff quit spamming and just help me out
This is everything you need
Scroll down and you'll find "How to check if your phone has an unlocked bootloader" simple tutorial.
If your phone's manufacture date is 11W29 or past 11W29, do not attempt to unlock bootloader as your phone might end in a hardbrick. How to know that? simply put out battery and you will see something like 11wXX in your phone

I understand what you're saying. But in defense of IAmNice, topics like this have been answered a lot of times already and can be solved by doing a simple search. Letting threads like this go on may encourage new members to not search and just make a new thread for these kinds of questions.
