Hey guys,
I've that problem with GZR v10 FINAL that few apps that I used to use on all other ROMs say they are incompatible with my phone. I have checked the build.prop what it says there, and it says LT10i, don't know if this has anything to do with it...
Any ideas?

But the problem is, that the apps work on other ROMs!
They worked in GZR V9 but not in V10
You could install a modded Play store
Reflash kernel and the ROM.

I found in another forum a couple of files which allow us to add MegaBass, one of the most beloved features of Sony Ericsson's W(alkman) phone series. I bundled them in an update.zip to be flashed with Clockwork Mod, and given that they work in all Xperia phones, I've decided to spread them around
I hope it's useful!
MegaBass Installer
MegaBass Uninstaller
*Note* I didn't make these files nor am I savvy enough to discuss their effect. They've been tested in most models with success, though, so again, I distribute them in the hope that they can be useful.

He says UPDATE.ZIP so i guess you flash it in recovery.
Thanks! I just flashed it ... Is there any specific option we have to select to activate Mega bass or is it activated by default?
Can anyone explain how to install it?
Excuse me but I do not know how to
proceed. Thank you.
Can this be applied on locked bootloader, rooted?

It should be activated by default. I've been told that you need a good equalizer like DSPManager and good headphones to notice the change.
Since this is an update.zip file, you need to be able to enter CWM recovery. Therefore, you need an unlocked bootloader.

if your phone is rooted, you can just extract the update.zip and copy the files.
do not forget to set the proper permission to the files you copied.
after the reboot, it should be loaded by default I suppose.
edit: well, as written in the script, there should be no problem with the method above. but, I could not feel much differences though.
Thanks !! Just applied on xperia arc, seems that the bass is bigger!!

I dont know the contents of this zip but I guess you could just delete them if they haven't overwritten anything, otherwise you have to replace them with the stock ones via root explorer.

If you edit the lines according to Chris95X8 and pipi14 guide, the mod version in the About Phone will change to the name that you've set.
Do you reboot your device after changing the lines in build.prop.?Or delete the backup files that exist after you edited the build.prop.
Hope I helped you..

Oh oops looks like some custom code was added to prevent ro.modversion changes...
speaking of which, just to clarify, at first it was MiniCM7 - 2.20, then later after the modversion change it became *changed name* (Based on MiniCM7)?

You would have to contact nAa then because he added in some custom code to prevent ro.modversion changes I think. But I don't think he will respond to the PM because that is probably considered spam. Maybe you could add some lines (at your own risk of course) to /system/etc/hw_config.sh.
I will PM you the code I have in mind.

So, I tried doing SuperUser mod for my phone to use this theme but it doesn't seem to be working, I followed DavidMKD's guide, tried using one from a custom rom and Serajr Xposed module but doesn't seem to work. Interesting. I pulled it from the deodexing firmware T525XXUANH4 for t525th. It works for me, of course. Perhaps the reason is deodex. Well, here's set of apk&odex (place in folder /system/app and give rights rw-r--r--):

Well, I would probably be surprised if that Kids Mode began to work. Firstly, it's this version of the apk for Kitkat. Second, it needs Touchwiz. Correct me if I'm wrong.
At least on CM 12.1 I couldn't run a version for Android 5.1.

someone will probably have to have it installed then pull app data for libs folder if there are any. then you would need to flash the /data/app/name of apk folder with libs to the correct area and also the main .apk to /system/app
but then again some manufacturer's apps are not compatible with aosp or cm based roms and need porting to work
(if that is what you are running)

Having had a crack at this myself... On my newsed SM-T325 I just got myself. I can only suspect that the clue is in the name seckidsmode... Sec here referring to security al-la knox mode perhaps?! no, not so much as full on knox, as such. But is still tied up somehow in as far as once its gone its gone. At least this is what I found when I tried to reinstall it back onto a rooted, but otherwise stock... And 0x0 valid SM-T325.
You might not care to hear it, but the only way I was able to recover (Twice now, as I write this!), was to re-flash the current BOC1 Firmware on top of everything again. Thankfully this hasn't tripped up my Knox... yet though I need to re-install TowelRoot + SuperSU again, unlike Knox however, you can install, and use this Kids Mode while rooted. But, as to reinstall it again after you've yanked it?
Well lets say that I'm kinda interested to know that One too...

Hi everyone,
Recently I've been playing around with boot animations on my C5303 (LBL, Omni 4.4.4), and I've noticed that no matter what I do, the sound will not work.
I've tried most things suggested on (older) forums, but still let me know of any ideas.
Thanks!
Bump?
AFAIK most ROMs don't support it,
If they do, there should be an option to change it in the settings.
Odd. There isn't something I could set in build.prop?
Question please
I can't find any bootanimation.zip in my media folder to replace it with my downloaded one
Where did you find it ?!
Note that I'm on omni 4.4.4 as you are

Make sure you have root.
Often times there will be no zip file to replace. It can be stored in /data/local if you don't want to set R/W permissions in /system/media. I recommend using this app if you don't want to risk messing with files.
