Don't recognize SD Extern only intern

Hello, good morning !!
I've LG P990 and doesn't mount SD Card extern, only intern read.
I've format this SD on my pc like FAT32 and don't read.
I try at mount manually and nothing, try other SD card and nothing too, but i try this sd in other mobile and ok read and write in this.
And neither with original ROM of LG and CM7 or CM9
Can you help me?

I have the same problem, and don't know what can i do, if someone could tell us something it would be great

I Dont want to be pesimistc, but IT can be hardware malfunction:-/ do you have any signs that Phone sees the Card but doesnt Mount IT???

Yeah, you can try command (adb shell or terminal emulator):
#su
#ls -l /dev/block/mmcblk? (including "?")
Output should be like this:
ls -l /dev/block/mmcblk?
brw------- root root 179, 0 2012-12-02 07:13 mmcblk0
brw------- root root 179, 16 2012-12-02 07:13 mmcblk1
#
If you see only mmcblk0, your external SD or SD reader is maybe dead ...

I say fat32 are not supported for cm rom. U read properly 1st

I use fat32 regularly on all roms, including CM. So...

Need Help on Nik_Project_X v4.1 ROM - USB STORAGE

Hi,
Newbie here , need help.
Im just flash the Nik_Project_X v4.1 ROM and everything is working fine except Mount Disk Drive on Windows.
I select Mount as Disk drive and it doesnt mount on my windows. My phone keep restart after i unplug the usb cable from my PC/Notebook.
I have try different USB cable but still the same. Any idea?

Not sure about a solution
But as a workaround, and what I do anyway, is take the sdcard out and connect it to your computer with an adaptor

This is not convenient, as i have to take out the sdcard everytime i need to transfer files.

Yeah that's a ball-ache. I'll stick with v4 from what I've been reading I guess.

Any application to over come this problem?

I use an app called Wifi File Explorer to connect my device to my laptop via wifi.

E/S file explorer let's you transfer files to/from your computer via wifi.

4. WIPE DATA CACHE AND FORMAT SYSTEM
5. Install Rom from SDcard and reboot

It won't brick you. You have an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery. Roms can't "brick you".

Still Downloading...i get 50kb/s from drop box. I hope it works, got 2hours downloadtime after it's finished :what:

Sorry Guys, bad news. I got a lot of FC > Download Manager/FileManager/media.process and so on + i can't save Screenshots. Restored my Nandroid and all's working well again.

Rom tested but there's a problem when we select the language, there is a message "device stop.." so the soft buttons don't work!

It should be like you put in USB port of your computer. It shows like another partition in phone beside internal and external SD memory.

But it seems that we do not have hardware support for it. I am just guessing . I never used it on any phone.

First of all I think that these drives meant for otg. Coz noreason for them to be here in "storage"....in phone memory.
Secondly if our phone does not have a hardware compatible with otg why to even try to port this feature to advance.

Nobody is sure whether our phone is hardware compatible for OTG or not. At the moment SGSA is not powering up the connected device. It might be also because of the code also.

Yaa its possible but we need a supported kernel included fuse.ko driver and for hardware we need 5+v internal power
Im not sure it have internal power
But we can give it external power

Some dev's are trying to port it, just wait.

If you search, you will find a "how to" to enable the multiwindow.. i dont know if is, i.e., the same procedure in sgs 2 and sgs advance, but the guide is in android general forum > android software hacking and development.. you can try to, isnt hard to understand and give a try..

I know that isn't for us, im just saying that someone can give a try.. Isnt hard to port, if someone can chek that is the same, i.e., in sgs 2 and sgs advance, then just tell me and i will try.. The how to is in android general forum..
