Here's my spare-time project lately, not really a completely build-from-scratch ROM, so probably this is only a mod
-Based on The Mighty Eclipse ICS
-145 Mb of ROM, hopefully less junk - faster performance
-Removed and replaced A LOT of stuff I don't need, you probably will be missing something
-Pre-configured for GSM, I'm from Indonesia, so I use GSM almost all the time. Athough so, it's capable of using CDMA as usual. Be aware that I did not test this ROM to operate on non-Indonesian GSM/CDMA signals

Flashing steps & Unlock GSM:
Beware, DRAGONS AHEAD!
You are on your own
1. Must be on FXZ/OTA ICS
2. ROOT
3. Install BOOTSTRAP
4. Flash GSM UNLOCKER via Bootstrap
5. Install SAFESTRAP
6. Flash BLX ROM via Safestrap
7. Insert GSM SIM Card, should receive GSM signal now, for Data to be active, you probably need to set APN in Wireless & networks settings.
8. To change Network modes, dial *#*#4636#*#* or use the LTE OnOff app preloaded.
9. For me GSM is running fine now, but for those needing to do more tinkering on Build Prop, use BuldProp Editor and edit/add these entries:
ro.mot.phonemode.vzw4gphone=0
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=0
ro.telephony.ril.v3=signalstrength

what is the predefined properties for adding new line?
Did you ask nitros permission to use his ROM? His work on this ROM is not open source.
No permission = kang not good karma
At least you did give credit to eclipse that is more than most people do.

Yes, edit what is already there, and you should add what is not. The properties is what comes after the '=' mark, in this case, 'signalstrength'.

His work's name is aforementioned in the first post, so it's my way of saying "without your work there will be no work by me". After all, if the very source of this thing we dearly call Android is not 'open' in the first place, I suppose we all won't be here, in forums, sharing..

So I tried the Razr version and it booted and then I saw this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1499411 and decided to give it a try. Well, it turns out just about everything I noticed was bugged is still bugged, most notably data. I also noticed the external SD does not mount. Keyboard mapping and LED seem to work with the files I copied over like the thread states.
Again, this is just test showing some things to be working. I copied files from the Razr CDMA MIUIv4_2.3.23 over to DROID4-CM9-03-24-SELFKANG with some of the changes from the above thread and this is what I got. I tried the tweaks to framework-res.apk mentioned later in the thread and failed. If I had any clue how to port over the other features that work from CM9 I would.
Just posting this to generate interest and to demonstrate that with a few tweaks we should have a working MIUI. Hopefully somebody knows how to get it up to par with CM9.

i did this for the motorola photon and mostly everything worked but mms
I tried copying over all of those except vold.fstab, tried that today. I Also tried copying over the VZW proprietary apps and modifying framework-res.apk again. I have no idea what exactly needs to be tweaked to get data to work, but I'm done trying unless I run into an explanation somewhere.

thanks! ill be trying this after i test out the new CM9 builds from the past couple days.
For the photon data would only work after bieng connected to wifi first then shut wifi off and data worked fine

What is Sense BootScreen Changer actually?
Well, as the name suggests, its a Bootscreen changer for HTC Sense based roms.
There are many apps for this purpose! Why did you made one?
There maybe many other similar apps! But none of them seems to work on Sense based roms since the location where the bootanimation file is stored in these roms are different. I've installed a Sense based rom on my HD2, everything was perfect except the bootscreen! I tried some bootscreen changer apps but they didn't do the trick! I had to manually replace the file using root explorer. Since i was a n00b on these kinda things, it seemed kinda hard :angel: but somehow i managed to get it done. It gave me an inspiration for making a simple app for this purpose because there could be others like me who wanted the same but failed!
Why SU Permissions are asked?
Because the bootanimation file is stored in the system directory, SU permissions are needed to replace the file.
Why Internet Permissions Are asked??
The program sends anonymous usage statistics about each released version to my server. The information sent does NOT contain any user specific data/personal data that can be used to trace back you! It just increments execution times on my server!
Backup Can Be Created But Can't Restore!??

Thanks Zlatomip! BTW, you can find bootscreens all over the forum! The best thing is that, you can use bootscreens for other phones also, just make sure that they're of the same resolution as HD2! Here is a link.

My phone automatically turns itself off and won't power back on per day or sometimes restarts automaticaly. It's not rooted.

First you have to plug it on your pc open kies and let it update. You have android 2.3.3 and the recent one from samsung is 2.3.6..
Then get over to the correct section, pick a rom u like, download and follow instuctions

i installed it yesterday. but now i have many problems:
Yesterday I installed broodROM Jellybean Release 3. but i have many problems now!
1- This rom doesn't support L2TP vpn. it only has L2TP with ip shared key. i don't know what's the reason removing L2TP VPN.
2- This rom doesn't have any google acount in default. now i can't add my google acount!
3- This rom doesn't have gmail, talk, voice dialer, map, google search. moreover when i install gmail it rapidly exit this application automatically. this problem occurs for play store too!
4-when i run map , it can't verify my current location. although when i run go sms pro to find poeple near me, error appear that i should enable my location in system setting while i enabled gps and network location both.
5-this rom can't recognize my country code .Some of my phone number in my contacts doesn't have country code and when i receive calls from them, it can't recognize contact name which is in my phone book.
6-when i turn on gps its icon doesn't appear in my status bar!
7-it doesn't have any radio installed!

First of all I want to say hello, as although I've been watching the forums for a while now, I have just registered today
The small issue that I have is that the network icon is stuck in R - roaming - all of the time.
I have tried copying various spn-conf.xml files, setting permissions, even tried flashing a new modem.
When I flashed CM11 the icon seems to work (it shows H, H+, EDGE, etc.), I have also tried copying various files
from that rom with no luck. And automatic/manual/data off/on combination as well.
It seems to be the rom issue (Team Asylum Omni 4.4.2 Naughties - every version that I have tried), but I do not have 10 posts yet so I cannot ask my question in the rom development thread.
It would be great if anyone could help me with it.

I have tried that, still on R.
The thing is that my network operator (Tesco) is using other operator antennas,
so I need roaming data enabled in order to have internet.

Okay. Did you check the APN settings for Tesco? Are they similar (i.e. the same) as on CM?
Otherwise you could use the g+ omni community. Maybe you'll find other Tesco users who could help you out.
I tried and they are the same, I also tried restoring default ones from apns-conf.xml in both Asylum and CM11 files.

I've managed to fix it by adding "values-mcc272-mnc11" folder (from CM11 framework-res.apk) to Omni framework-res.apk, so if you run into similar problem, post it here and I can explain what I did step by step

What does, is to convert certain letters. This way, when you writing for example a message in greek or in polish, instead of having 70 characters per message, you will have 160, so you will not have to spend extra money.

No mate, there isn't.
The only solution you have is to find an ftf file with this option enabled too. Maybe the global one has this option.
