Dont use iz, since it still is buggy... If you wanna have another custom rom, flash back an old patched v20x bin and fls with smartflash, then install any rom you want.

Short answer is you can't. The kernel from V28 isn't compatible with the old bootloader. So you can't make a zip from it.
It's possible to use a different kernel but that introduces bugs. (Zips available for v28C does this)
Why Mr DUARTE 777 geted it in his topic : [ROM][DEVS] OFFICIAL ICS V28C [Rooted, CWM support and more ] . And good ! That kernel in rom ( rom.zip ) isn't stock krrnel ? Thanks all !

i had that problem too.. after that i replaced stock modem and now it working like a charm. u should try different modem.
btw - @ my knowledge i don't think changing kernel will help you on this case
(sorry for the bad english )

1.Download suitable modem from from this thred http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1158783&highlight=bootloaders
2.Put it on ur phone storage
3.flash it using CWM
hey devs ,, i was able to download the UAE v30b which has a new kernel of data 22Jan ,, it might be better ,, using the bin extractor i got the boot.img .. so is it safe to use it on my current rom wich is IZS by heuxxx ,,if its unsafe can i just use the zlimage ???

Hi .
I have searched the entire forum and also been googling since days for rooting my s advance indian ver. Not yet found a solution.
However i did find a post here in xda to root s advance but support for DDLK2 firmware was absent.
Pls note that people who recently bought the phone have DDLK2 installed.(india).
It would be of great help if anybody could take the trouble to entale a step by step procedure to root the same for a novice like me.

Why don't you update to JB?
With JB, rooting is very simple(Shaaan's awesome root).
My Device : Rooted GT-I9070
ROM - 4.1.2 Stock I9070DDULP8
Kernel - CoCore-E-5.0
Recovery - TWRP
Well guys i knw support for gb rooting is withdrawn since d release of jb update. Bt i hv heard dat jb is too laggy.. currently m finding solace in my stock gb..
A root for it would hav completed my quest.

Hi All,
Please tell me how to install PARANDROID rom 3.15 in lg optimus black ku5900.
The problem is my phone is korean version.
I have tried CM10 before, and installed successfully but IMEI gone .
So it is possible to install PARANDROID rom (p970) in ku5900.
If yes then please tell me the steps to do that..

Get v30j or v30i kdz. Extract and flash the cp file + patched v20 ap for p970.

I have installed V30I ICS version in lg ku5900 ,this OS is korean version , its running well..
Now my phone is rooted ,Rom manager installed and then i want to install/Flash clockwork recovery for P970 ,but is fails..
So can you know that how i can do that ?...

Just flash cp.fls from v30i for baseband. Then flash v20 patched ap.bin. you could extract the .kdz of p970 automatically. And thres an option to flash cwm too. So thats it.

do ctrl+f and write ddlsc. The very first result you will get is the one you need (zip file)
Edit your post and delete question about best kernel and ROM (as it is against the forum rules)

Just checked with stock browser that you can use find on page option to search. If that does not work for look for this on Post #3(i cannot provide you direct link):

Right click PhilZ.exe select run as administrator. It'll install itself.
