hey guys, I was thinking to root my note n7000 running android 4.0.4
I read many threads and guides but could not understand the way to do it...
some says "this way is better and safe" and some says "that one is risky, try another"
Actually I want to root because of two reasons
1. Want to install a beautiful (good looking) ROM like MIUI (cause installing themes makes my note slow, toooo slow and then it crashes too)
2. I want some apps that require root (like an app to remove permissions that apps ask but they don't actually need)
So I wanna ask you guys, is it worth rooting?
Is it possible to install MIUI in note OR is there any other better alternative to MIUI
I don't really care about the warranty as long as I can understand the way to root my phone safely so I won't brick it (though I even read in some threads that you can root without going against the warranty conditions)
I also saw the one-click root setup that needs a PC, download the rar, connect phone, USB-debugging and start the file in PC, is it safe and not outdated or patched by the android 4.0.4
So guys, suggest me should I root or just wait for JB update for the note
and if you suggest that I should root then can you please  point me in a direction, to a good and easy to follow guide for newbies...
:highfive:
i rooted the note as soon as i got it..
its very simple to root a 4.0.4 these days and safe as well..
check you rom build number and download the kernel corresponding to your rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191
then place the zip file in the ext SD.. boot into recovery and update from external SD and point to the Zip file.. install and done..
Rooted, safe kernel and CWM for installing new roms as well...

yes.. it is easy and safe if you fully understand and follow every instruction. Good Luck.. "How can a tree lives without its root.. hahahaha"
It's definitely worth it if you're thinking about it, it opens the doors to getting so much more out of your device. Follow nokiamodeln91 suggestions and you'll be fine.

thanks man for the reply,
I understand the later part that transfering the zip files to external SD and install from it
but I fail to unerstand which zip file to download
my "build number" is "IMM76D.DDLR9"
and "baseband version" is "N7000DDLRR1"
also I wanted to ask if this the same CWM.zip method as mentioned in this THREAD cause they are saying that following this method will result in a brick
one last thing, if you could also make my doubts clear
rooting is needed to access to system files so that we can install and use apps which require ROOT
but I do not know about kernel and CWM...
once again many many thanks for the reply...:victory::angel:
Use ddlr9
cwm.zip can result in a brick
yes root is needed to access system
to install. mods, tweaks, different roms etc etc. etc

kernel is a universal name. You can look it up anywhere
cwm is an advanced recovery that can perform many tasks as compared to stock recovery and is embedded in the kernel for note. when you change kernel your recovery will change as per what the dev included.
cwm is aso required to install custom roms

Considering your requirements you should root.
Your only concern is that you may not be able to do it properly.
Rooting is now a cake walk. Just follow Dr ketans thread

yeah that's what I thought
I would rather give it to some other person who knows the process of rooting than doing it myself, looks very confusing to me :silly:
okay done!
so I have finally rooted and flashed my kernel...
I followed this guide on youtube
youtube[dot]com/watch?v=fIV84TwdPdY
basically, it told me to download "Root_SuperSU.0.95.Only-signed.zip" and update from the zip and I followed
then I got the supersu app in my note and my note was rooted then following the guide again, I installed "mobile odin pro" from the play store, downloaded "speedmod-kernel-n7000-ics-k3-15-CWM.zip" and using mobile odin i flashed it
so now my phone's "about" page is like this
View attachment 1653682
so I just wanted to ask whether this kernel is safe or not, do I have to still flash something else cause I read that most of the ICS kernels are affected with the "brick" bug and I was on android 4.0.4 when I rooted and flashed my phone..,
and what about flashing roms...,
It's only stock ics roms that are unsafe. Speedmod is safe, also worth checking out is phillz kernel which is as close to stock as you can get but with the mmc_cap_erase command disabled.
Since you're on a safe kernel now you can flash most roms straight away, although if flashing cm based rom like paranoid or cm10 you usually need to flash a cm based kernel first, then boot into recovery and flash the cm rom from there. All first posts will contain necessary flashing procedures. You'll get the hang of it and if you need help continue asking.

further query
first, thank you SpyderTracks for your quick response, I actually slept last night cause I didn't think that I would get an answer so fast
now, what rom you people suggest me to install as I am AGAIN confused to choose the rom
and as SpyderTracks said to install CM roms i need CM kernel too, so I suppose there will be again many more choices, so would anyone tell me which one is the easiest and simplest...
I actually looked at many roms
like MIUI, CyanogenMod, some jellybean roms like JellyBam
so from where should I start to understand this rooting things
P.S I have got mobile odin pro and rom manager from store, if they can help
EDIT
please help me out, I did something wrong
i downloaded and installed mobile odin pro
flashed latest CWM
and then I downloaded "RocketMIUI v8 - MIUI 2.10.19 - SNote running!!! - multilang" and wenti into recovery vol. up+power+home
first of all I used "wipe data/factory reset" option and then "wipe cache partition" and then finally I used "install zip from sdcard"
update was succesfully done but now when I start my note, it gets to samsung logo normally then the welcome page of samsung shows up and there i'm getting an error "unfortunately, phone has stopped" and now I cannot do anyting
PLEASE help O

It's just a flashing error or kernel issue, don't worry just yet. Reflash the rom, it comes provided with hydracore kernel. Leave it with that kernel, remember to do 3 wipes after flash, then try reboot.

I know this is a very stupid question but I just want to make sure flashing with CWM is viable.
For the leaked stock ics 4.0 rom I know I should use odin to flash, but how about custom 4.0 rom like Romow? Should I use CWM to flash the zip file?
Thx~
ps: I am currently running rocketrom v19 with CWM
use CWM n flash zip

There are no instructions in romow's thread and that's why i am here to ask for any further instructions. I bet flashing a 4.0custom rom is similar to flashing Gingerbread rom. Am i right?
Also, some ppl claimed that I need to first flash the stock leaked 4.0 rom then have my phone rooted with CWM installed and finally flash custom 4.0 rom with CWM. Is that really necessary?

There are better roms now than ROMOW's one i think, try flashing Rocket Rom, or the new AOSP
From the instructions given in [02/24/12][Team Rocket ROM][open beta ICS v4.0.3][v1.5][15Tooglebar] daily ROM now! , it seems I really have to flash the leaked ics rom first before installing the rocketrom 4.0.3 rom, is that true? That means I cannot directly install the ics rocketrom from any gingerbread custom rom?

Follow carefully the instructiones if not you wont hace fullroot

Just have to ask it right here as well...I went to romow yesterday for testing reasons (just flashed the zip in cwm) but I have to go back since there are too many bugs imao atm.
Just tried to go back to my CWM Backup....now I´m stucked at the bootanimation!
Do you guys know what could be the reason here? And what I could do to get my nandroid backup working again?

Did you flash 4.0.3 directly from gingerbread rom? BTW I've heard many people say their phones were stuck in the bootscreen(The samsung N7000 with no boot animation) when they tried to go back from ics to gingerbread. Seems this is a common problem....

Yes, I came directly from GB!
If you can load the boot animation that means ur phone is not bricked. You should try to download a stock gingerbread rom from dr ketan's post and flash it by odin pc.

When going back to GB, i kinda 'restart' the whole process by going back to Stock ROM via Odin, and redo the root and CWM.
Else, there are strange quirky issue ex. CWM just hangs while wiping the phone.
Hey Kelvin Fong & J.wong, thank you guys for your support!

Should be this one(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997).
Firstly, download one of the roms from [Older ROMs (Directly Rootable)].
Secondly, follow the [Installation Guide For Older ROM ], the one using odin pc.
You may see below another flashing method using mobile odin, but that doesn't suit you since that one requires your phone rooted before and will keep your root after flashing. The one with odin pc will wipe out all your data and apps(of course not your SD card) and also unroot your phone. That means your CWM and root will all be gone and you have to follow another post to root it again(now this one:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360)
this one(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997)teaches you how to flash a rootable gingerbread rom, but not rooted. This one(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360)shows you how to root your phone and install CWM. I think these two posts are the best tutorials you are looking for.
I think you should download this >>http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=907734&d=1329574136
This one is better organized.
Thanks mate! Saved it to my desktop...but finally i was able to manage the problem by simply flashing a *fresh* RocketRom again (?!). I thought it would be worth a try...
Anyway: Thank you very much for your support, it´s good to still meet that friendly kind of people with patience here on the board (it´s getting less these days) hope i´ll be able to return the favor in future

As far as I remember I made my very first steps with odin after I reveived my note (root, cwm)...rocket has been flashed by using cwm. But yes, my binary counter increased definitely...
...I do have a USB Jig, but in some was I am kind of afraid of going trough this! To fumble around in pure darkness...hmmm i don´t know
Have you tried it yourself?
Actually I've got a yellow triangle together with increased binary counter as I followed another tutorial guide(I should follow dr ketan's guide before).
I think removing the counter with a jig is way too dangerous for me so I don't want to risk it. Simply remove the counter only when you really need to bring your phone to samsung because maybe you don't even have to claim the warranty at all.
plz what ics leak mean ? i am new to android world
what is the difference between ics leak and repack and stock and other expressions?
what is the difference between kernel and firmware expression ?
give me example ( stuuner and canyon and lpy and lpf and gb )...
i asked this noob question as i am noob at flashing and i read alot about bricks and emmc bug for leak and repack ICS
now i am using lpf rooted ics + supersu
Ics leak is when the ice cream in the ice cream sandwich is almost melted and starting to leak. In all seriousness a leak is when a company accidentally loses a firmware version for a phone and it goes public.

The first ICS Roms for Note were buit on a DANGEROUS Kernel which came from a "leak". That kernel was responsible for bricking many devices due to its eMMC bug.
Now all the new ICS Roms are "fixed" by using new Kernels, but the problem continues if you go from an old rom (leak kernel) to a new one. There is a specific way to do it. You can read all about it in many threads.
If you tell me which Rom you want to flash and on which Rom you currently use i can give you more detailes!
Hope i could help!

You can at least post link to other thread with comment moved comment to seperate thread.
Do a flash back to stock gb throught pc odin, perform data factory reset through dialer, google for code ending something like 3855.
Root it and put cf kernel on it, perform factory reset from recovery, wipe caches and dalvik cache. Then reinstall rocket by flashing the zip in recovery.
After this do not recover apps just redownload from playstore. Do it one by one so you can eliminate which one is responsible. If thats case.
You loose data but also lingering crap from past that can cause fc an reboot. Now you can best disable keep device backup in Google cloud.
Last read all post in rocket thread. Should it return, there areprobably others with same problem. Check their fixes lmao

thanks bro.. even though i dont get what u mean ;( can u teach me how to flash a lpy stock rom from my current state?
Ok go to first post in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
All should become clear reading this thread. Its a sticky in developement with sceenshots on how to install. From development you can also find cf root.
Recap
Download odin, shut down kies and start it on pc.
Download your rom of choice, unzip it.
Turn phone off, turn on and push volume down, home key and buttun at same time, it should go to download mode, Its tricky, may need couple tries.
dont wait to long, connect to pc, watch added in odin, select extracted tar. Md5 file, the largest, put in pda, no repartition no clear efs.
Press volume button up to initiate download mode and select start on odin, if your download was ok, it should flash and show pass on odin.
If I were you I would dl gb rom, because from gb rom the samsung factory reset I mentioned earlier is safe. Usually this fixes bootloop itself, however on ics rom, custom, leak or official this is not safe. (except cm9 with xplodwild kernel)

Hey
I have afew questions. Im goin to root today but just need some advice. Im on ics 4.0.4.
Can i flash any rom i want?
each time u flash a rom do u need to flash the correct kernal with that rom or just pick a good kernal?
I want to flash that rocket rom v10 but it looks like it downloads with just a rom, is that normal or do i look for a kernal.

This is a custom Kernel which includes root and cwm recovery, ROMs includes their own kernels, so you do not have to flash kernel every time unless you need some kernel of your choice.
The method which you want to follow is the safest method to root but it will raise binary count and yellow triangle, which can be removed using triangle away app by chainfire.
---------- Post added at 09:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:32 PM ----------
Yes you can flash any rom after rooting and flashing cwm recovery but make sure you flash some safe kernel before performing full wipe in recovery, I recommend using Abyss GB kernel for that. You do not have to download any kernel for Rocket ROM, it has its own kernel but make sure to flash Abyss kernel in recovery and then reboot to recovery and perform full wipe before installign Rocket ROM.
Speedmod kernel is good and will work on all TW ICS roms.
Follow the instructions given in Dr ketan's thread in Android developement
This method seems the quickest and its done by cursed4eva on youtube. You dont loose no data or apps. It only works for ics 4.0.
You flash cwm and then superSU and your rooted. Lastly you flash speedmod kernal by mobile odin and thats it.
This method takes afew mins and does not mess up anything. Video tutorial is great but from your replies, when i go onto flashing roms etc i just flash them in recovery as normal right??

Do not use this touch recovery method, this has been reported unsafe, you will end up with a brick in your hand. It is better you use custom kernel to root and flash cwm recovery. Flashing custom kernel does not wipe your data.

Okay, lets start, i used few short word as was using note to write,
Best app to backup apps is titanium backup but dont think it can restore odexed apps (apps on stock rom) so i prefer root explorer to remove apps from system and save them on sd card.
All newest custom kernels are known to be safe but better you go through kernel threads to be sure, since you are rooted now so can use mobile odin to flash kernel.
Best way to flash custom roms is cwm recovery.
And there is no best custom rom, as all are best, it depends on your choice.
Yellow triangle doesnt affect anythin except claiming warranty.
Hope this helps

That has cleared up so much for me....lol thanx
Can u flash stock roms thoe also?
As for the backups of all data, cant a nanroid backup be done? Titanium says it backs up everything but then their is a appp called mybackup which is for root and says it does the same thing. Damn maybe your way might work but 2morrow i will flash a new rom for sure so all help is welcomed....thank you kindly.
Yes you can flash custom roms but just make sure you are on one of the latest safe ics custom kernel (go through kernel threads), you can download your stock firmware as backup and backup downloaded apps using titanium backup, thats it.

What do i use to back up my stock firmware? Is that the nandroid back up in recovery
Yeh for the apps i might just use titanuim or my back up. Both of em seem to work for that purpose.
Mobile odin seems like a great app but it seems ppl just flash kernals with it but that can be done in recovery right.
Yes you can flash kernel through recovery but custom only, for stock you have to use odin/mobile odin.
Yes you can do nandroid backup but it was not recommended so far as it was not safe on ics kernels but now some custom kernels/cwm recovery are safe for it. But I personally dont use it, i have my stock firmwares on my pc as backup, best for me.

Okay well since my phone is just rooted and nothing has been flashed. what should i do first to back up everything? what do you recommend as i would like to keep the back on my pc & exernal hard drive just to be safe i have it all intact.
Just backuo with titanium
All user app + syst data
But when restore, just use
Restore all user app+data
(And data of msg n call log in yellow color. If you get it back then only
Contact n calendar will get back by gmail sync.)

Downloading stock gingerbread for your region as backup is best in my opinion, you can always flash it through odin when required and can update via kies or OTA, You can download latest ICS as well and keep it on your PC, your wish. not sure about nandroid backup, never used on Note.
Okay Guys, I have read thread after thread but I'm still unsure on a few things and would really appreciate some straight answers here:
My fiance has a Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 with the following:
Android Version: 4.0.4
Baseband Version: N7000XXLRK
Kernel Version: 3.0.15-N7000XXLRK-CL811902
Build Number: IMM76D.XXLRK
Now I'm not really sure if we need to root the phone or not, all she really wants is:
1) Custom themes (different unlock sliders ect)
2) More customizing apps like SPB Shell 3D
3) Better Battery Life
From what I understand in order to get noticably longer battery life and UI customization you need custom ROMs with optimized code, but I could be wrong.
I would would also like to be able to Overclock the CPU but then thats just me being a bloke
So heres the Questions:
1) There are now One-Click rooting batch file that reduce the risk of end user mistakes Soft/Hard bricking the Phone
Q1) Is this the part that is unsafe? or is it just flashing custom ROMs which is unsafe?
Q2) Should I use CWM to flash ROMs / Recovery / Wipe as in some threads thats the advice and in others you get DO NOT wipe in recovery
DO NOT flash anything else in recovery
In general, DO NOT use recovery at all
Q3) Is there a way of installing Custom unlock sliders and SPB Shell 3D without having to root the phone? I've heard you need DroidWall to block Wifi and Data so the app doesnt call home, but that this requires the phone to be rooted first?
Im really sorry for all the stupid questions but hopefully somebody can clear things up for me.
Thanks
For installing themes and apps, you need not do any rooting
There are many third party apps to install in play store
For lock screen themes, try go locker, magic locker or milocker
And spb shell can be installed without getting rooted
If you are interested in rooting and flashing custom roms, then first flash a safe kernel(like hydracore) and then flash custom rom through cwm recovery
Dont do any wipe on stock kernel,it may brick your phone
So if you are still interested in rooting, simply flash hydracore kernel through pc odin

A1; wiping from stock recovery if ics is unsafe.
A2; cwm is used to flash roms
A3; spb shell doesn't require root. Droidwall is like a firewall. it works on iptables. so it needs root.
If u root u can customize ur phone to gr8 extent

Rooting is no problem. The cause of brick, as mention by others is the wiping under stock kernel.
Just install the philz modded stock rom, u will get a safe stock kernel + root + cwm.
Or if u want just follow dr. Ketan thread on rooting.
Anyway, try not to use one rooting.
I m not sure whether can work or not, but my last reading base on the search i found, it can't be use for ics. U may correct me if i m wrong.
Best if u want simple rooting nd safe kernel, just flash philz.
And yes if u want to flash custom rom u can only do in cwm.
U cannot flash it under stock recovery.
Good luck!

Hi @all,
i'm new here kind of confused too about rooting my N7000....
Could somebody please post or link an easy and safe method for rooting the N7000 with ICS 4.0.4???
Only root is needed, no kernel or rom etc...
Thanks a lot!!
Have a look here:
PhilZ stock kernel rooted / safe kernel and safe recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31911656
Can be flashed in stock recovery 3e.
And here is a tutorial how to root/unroot by Dr.Ketan

Thanks a lot! Dr. Ketan seems to be exact what i was looking for!!!:good:

First Off.... Thankyou a million! I never knew about the apps for theming in the Play Store, the Mrs is more than happy with her new Pink UI and iLike Lock theme...
I've Only tried Go locker so far but so far so good!!!
So let me get this straight, Wiping your phone using the stock wiping utility provided with the phone on the standard Sumsung supplied Kernal is unsafe???
A1; wiping from stock recovery if ics is unsafe.

So CWM is an alternative recovery method which is used for flashing Custom Roms, simply enough.

Looks like you dont really need to root. Except for the overclocking (there goes your battery life
Make sure you get the kernel right. After that there isnt much that can go really wrong. Or just wait a while, Jelly Bean (an update for your operating system is) around the corner
What I ment was if I want SPB Shell for free without paying for it, I heard that you can use Droidwall to block its internet contecting so it doesnt get dectected and require payment?

Yes N7000 running ICS stock rom with stock kernel .. wiping on them triggers the emmc erase command that corrupts the system. that y philz kernel is a stock kernel with the erase command disabled and u get root as well as CWM v6.0.1.4 latest. :good:

No Philz is a stock kernel so its just like that, for OC u need a kernel that supports it eg. Hydracore OC.

Installing custom ROMs
Installing Mods like battery mod, call recording, full screen caller ID, 15 toggles, transparent notification . infact u can change the look of ur phone if u know how to tinkle with the System apks and frameworks. Mods mainly require u to access the system folder which is only available when u root.
go thru this thread
Good battery life from my N7000 began with the XXLRK. Succeeding builds XXLRQ and XXLRT performed just as well. Therefore do not expect much battery life improvements until your wife changes her phone habits.
I am using Paranoid Utaka now. Even with low cpu settings things are the same with batt life. I believe this has already reached design limits.
Hey guys, sorry its been a long time since my last reply, the Mrs has been so happy using her galaxy note with the new themes/loaders that I haven't needed too ask for more assistance......until now!
To cut a long story short I have a two year old soon who often uses this now to doodle on some of the drawing apps and somehow he removed the apps icon which launces the app tray, and the Mrs was always complaining that she kept getting popups with invites from women on dating websites, (again probably the boy when he's frantically jabbing the screen when he's drawing)
So anyway we wanted to wipe the phone back to its factory settings and I remembered you guys saying it was unsafe to wipe from stock ICS so I've flashed Phiz latest Kernal with touch recovery mode.
I now want to install some custom roms as I'm feeling adventurous however I've been reading lots of conflicting info in the threads on here, some saying flash back to GB rom first or you'll brick your note
And others saying that flashing back to Gb roms are the cause of the bricks!!!
Now I've already made a backup in philz recovery, but do i need to flash back to GB or not in order to instsll paranoid Android?
Also any other rooms you guts can recommend? Are there any stock jelly beans roms yet?

Hi,
I have since Fev. 2012, a optimus black, but since the beginning I have problems with him.
Before, I was unable to take pictures, because every pictures I took was corrupted.
Since I upgrade to V30b, this problem was solved, but now, sometimes the message: The SD card was removed apears, and I need to reboot the phone. I installed Beyondpod to ear pod casts and all the downloaded pod casts file, after 1 day were corrupted (files with names like:┬▬¶, before the photos were the same names).
This week the phone blinked non stop, I needed remove the batery, and all settings were reserted.
Now I think my battery drains so fast, I had reserted all settings to factory defaults and now the phone is working, bus Podcasts no.
I´m sick of this phone. I wants some custom rom to see if the phone improve.
Can anyone please can help me?
Please give me the information about witch Custom ROM is better. (fast, clean, battery, in all aspects)
Tanks a lot for the help.

is it rooted ? if yes, then you have lots of option in developer sction, the most stable rom i used recently are Marvel v11 and IZS both ICS based roms. both are great with battery and run pretty smooth.
you can try one of the Marve based stock V30F . i didn't try it yet.

official firmware .kdz => http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?mod=Lg+Optimus+Black&paese=Tutti&id_mod=1

If it's a rooted v20 (GB) just install ROM Manager from play store and maybe first try a Marvel12b, 11 or even 10 ... where you get a touch 5 CWM recovery with it. Than you probably have the best base you can get to install any ROM.zip from.

I heard there is one way to install a CWM on v30, but normaly you only brick your phone when you try to get a CWM on v30. Look for unlock U boot.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160394
yeah, this is a way, but cwm 6 have bug sdcard unmounted, use recovery.img 5.xx.xx on this case.
IMHO, if you have SFT, it's safe to flash with Preinstallation for IZS ROM (SmartFlash): includes Smartflash and latest LG USB drivers =>
http://huexxxtuff.blogspot.com.es/2013/01/izs-rom-links.html
you should have, ics rooted and cwm on one shot. after you can make nandroid backup and test all custom rom you want.

Case C: you already are on a new ICS rom without CWM
Quote:
- If you want, use OnlineNandroid to do a nandroid backup of your phone, I'm not responsible of your data losing
- Use Smartflash to completely flash (.bin and .fls) a V20 ROM patched with CWM with V30 baseband (you can

Once again let me thanks the help you gave me.
Now I am confused.
There is any tutorial to help me install the rom?
I am a newbie in this matters. I had a Galaxy tab 7 (p1000), and in that time I did install some roms, but time pass, and now I´m super confused.
I read several thing but, you gave me different solutions and I don´t now how to do.
I think the best rom (following your´s advise), is the MARVEL.
I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1554274
And I choose the last: Marvel v G based on Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 v 30d France - deodexed and zipalligned
Following the instructions of the link, I only need do this:
1. You will need a rooted Optimus Black and boot in CWM Recovery or use ROM Manager.
2. Copy the zip file in SDCard.
3. Install zip file.
This is correct?
I need to root the boot? How can I confirm is I have a rooted boot?
SaschaKH gave me this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160394
Can I use this instructions to root the boot?
For all operations I need the CWM.Can i install in play store? I found the ClockworkMod (ROM MANAGER) free version. Can I use this version?
Exist also the Rom Manager Premium, for what I need, the free version is OK or I need the pay version?
To finish: What is:
1- SFT?
2 - deodexed and zipalligned?
Thank a lot for all the help.
Sorry for this questions, I want to learn more about this world, and I´m starting. I count with you guys.
Thanks a lot.
Once again sorry for all my questions and my bad English. (I´m Learning English too)
everything you need is here:

You didn't read it well. It says to root your phone and to boot to CWM. The thing with U-boot is to get rid of the locked bootloader wich gives you an LG Security Error if you install any alternative recovery.
You can follow the instructions given but I didn't try it myself.
What I found easier is to do as NOOBY wrote in his tutorial : flash a V20 patched rom (Gingerbread stock rom rooted and with CWM), like that you'll only have to do the wipes required in CWM and then flash Marvel Rom - which of course you put on your sdcard -.
SFT (= SmartFlashTool, for flashing a firmware easily)
Btw to use that tool you need of course our phone's drivers installed.

Is any other way to install CMW?
Even in the tutorial said: "Then you need to install CWM (Clock Work Mod), you can do this e.g. by downloading ROM Manager, install it, open it
and find Install Clockwork Mod Recovery. Hit it, wait some seconds and click LGE optimus Black. Wait again, till the file has been downloaded and installed and your all set Now you can reboot into Recovery, with the second option. It says, what it does: Reboot to recovery"
But I tried also reboot using the option "Reboot to recovery" and the phone reboot and reset with factory defaults.
How can I use other way?

In the tutorial it says that for Gingerbread rom.

Back on track.
I made it. I installed the Marvel G, but my problem still maintains (I use BeyondPod) and in the podcast folder appears a lot of corrupt files), I don´t see any change from stock ROM, but I think this is the objective of this ROM.
But now I am ready and prepared to install all ROMS I Want using the CMW, and install from zip file.
I will continue testing some ROMS.
Witch ROM do you recomend? I don´t need fancy style or other complicated thing, I just need what a stable, low consumption batery, and fast thing.
