[Q] Help finding a stock ROM - LG Revolution

I've been searching all day to no avail for a working link to an uncorrupted stock ROM. So far, I haven't had any luck. Does anyone know of anything out there?
EDIT:
I found a now-working copy of ZV8 in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337386

In all honesty, there is no stock Rom for v8 or newer. Well, the only stock Rom is what you flash from a tot.
If someone can upload a backup of their stock/rooted v9, I can zip it up for flashing

Why not flash Geo's FRG83D that is rooted and completly stock?
Will that root it...? Can I just download it on my phone and proceed from the handset ..
Sent from my Nexus One
Its already rooted. But it will use more internal memory because its deodexed for themes.
Super One Click can root it, read their thread.

[Q] No upgrade to Gingerbread

Hello,
I used the upgrade (11.6.11)[TOT]ALL LG Revolution VS910 Firmware V4,V6,V7 *Gingerbread* W/ Instructions to try to upgrade to gingerbread. The whole process went smoothly but after final reboot I am still using Froyo 2.2.2. I used the v4 .tot which was correct. I have since upgraded to need the v6 .tot but have yet to try figuring the same results. Is there any other way to upgrade to GB?
Thanks for any help.
Not sure I'm understanding correctly but v7 is gingerbread

So now will S1C root GB?
follow this thread to root http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1348557
Thanks Patsoxfan
Man, was it annoying trying to figure out that I had to have the V7 flashed first before I could make GingerVolt work. For the longest time I couldn't get my SIM card to work with GingerVolt and couldn't figure it out.
IOW, couldn't go directly from V4 -> GingerVolt. Had to do V4 -> V7 -> GingerVolt.
I still can't root GB. I am unable to get anything to show up in adb. No devices found. Downloaded and removed and re-downloaded drivers. Phone is reconized by windows, I have debugging on, internet mode. S1C didn't work, Esteem didn't work, I assume because adb can't find my device. I am using windows 7 64 bit. SDK has downloads for 2.3.3 but not 2.3.4 maybe that's the problem idk.

Call problems

Hi
I am helping on behalf of my friend with his phone. He told me he had rooted and even flashed a custom rom which I assume when he told me he doesn't have touchwiz.
Now the problem is that when he hangs up a call the screen just goes completely black and needs to talk the battery out. Sometimes even he has problems booting up into android and gets some random script.
Now I would like to know if I could solve the problem if I flashed a custom rom via clock work mod? What other tools would I need?
Thanks

Try doing a factory reset!

I forgot to tell you in the original post that this was all triggered after doing a factory reset. Any ideas?

Yh just flash a compatible rom via recovery or Rom manager. Just make sure you read the thread first to see if there are any problems/bugs and what is required before hand. Best to do a complete wipe before flashing though.
Before flashing try to do another factory reset and see if that solves the problem. Along with that delete the cache and dalvik from recovery (3 button combo) and fix permissions. If after all that the same happens then flash the rom. If your not sure of what you are doing then find out before you do start. Just in case something else goes wrong.
I talked to my friend and he told me the phone isn't rooted. He's using android 2.3.2. Is there a guide to rooting for this device?
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
There are loads of guides for rooting, look in general section most of them are pinned.
I suggest he reflashes the same rom that way there are minimal chances of any bugs but if he wants a custom rom then make sure you look for one that is very stable. Unless he wishes to learn how to flash and everything that comes with it. I warn it will become addictive.
For the stock roms go here and make an account. Then click on firmware. And follow the clicks... You can also find guides on there of how to do it. Basically how to navigate on the site, how to flash the roms on the site etc all on that site.
If you still want root and only root then search for cf root in android development. Chainfire has an extensive list of rooted kernals, the first post should explain everything, you may ave to read it twice
Edit: Link
Edit: I just understood what you meant by that PM... I suggest you/ your friend sticks to stock and use the first link. However if you really want a custom rom, start with this[ (link arrived...) It is a Darky Rom from their website. Really all you will need is the DarkyROM 10.2 RE Odin ROM and you will be rooted. From there you can flash anything. However the link i provided is to their latest rom i believe and is meant to be fairly stable.
May i remind you that once you flash you will have lost warranty and support from Samung etc. Until you flash stock firmware back on. Also when flashing be careful and know what you are doing, it is all at your own risk
I am trying to flash stock from and I downloaded the firmware from samfirmware and the file is a zip file, does anybody know what do I do with the .DLL file?

Can you give me the name of the firmware you DL from samfirmware, and if possible the link..
BUT really all you need is a .pit file and asingle .tar file. There may be 3 .tar files (code, modem and csc). The instructions should give you the information of where to put each or the files should be clearly named..
Apparently there was only one tar file. I already flashed the stock rom yesterday and flashed cf root. I also instructed my friend how to flash custom roms. It is all good now. Thank you!

Stock v8 backup?

Was wondering if anyone had a nandroid backup of the stock v8 ROM. I accidentally deleted mine and was going to update to check out the newest update.
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
Did you have any luck? I accidentally did the same when freeing up some space on one of my sd cards recently and just realized it... Anybody?
No luck, ended up just flashing the tot file
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
Yeah, that's what I was about to do, since I had a feeling that I would end up needing to. Just waiting on the .tot to download and minus is really slow...
I also need one too if somebody has it
My tot is going really slow too

[Q] [REQUEST] anyone have a stock recovery or the revo toolkit for the revolution? $

Im looking for the stock recovery for the LG Revolution. I need to revert it completely back to stock. I have everything else back to stock besides the recovery. This would really help me out.
Thanks
If you are on v8 out v9 you can use the all in one tool to get the stock recovery back
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19390207
Or if you are on a older version then you would have to flash the tot from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19154278
(the tot can be flashed over any version, but I do remember then some people was having issues with the v9 but that may be fixed)
