As you might or might not be aware the new update also brings updated photo editor to Jelly Bean.
I have been experimenting with it and found out a few things which I think Might be useful to some.
This is first time I've tried making a tricks thread so don't be mean
Show Original File VS Effect
Swipe on the image from any side Top->Bottom, Bottom->Top, Left-> Right and finally Right->Left.

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Use Boxes to change settings of "Tool".
For some it might be a easy spot of the Menus, but they aren't labelled very well.
Get more points on the Curves.
When you start off it by default gives you only 2 points to manipulate, you can get more points by first dragging the dots on the screen and then starting on the edge of grid dragging the line in. You can manipulate single layers; Red, Blue, Green and by default RGB (all of them).
Quickly Access the History and make changes or Reset.
Swipe from Right to Left, preferably off image for best results due to the "Original Image Preview". Can also be accessed from Menu in top right. It shows Newest edits on top and oldest on the bottom, Resetting removes all the changes.
More Suggestions are welcome, please note that it just came out today (14th November 2012) and more updates might come and more features might be discovered anytime!
*I own full right to the picture being edited, I've got entire library of forest pictures most probably better than those. If you want some for wallpaper or other purpose please let me know.

Hello folks... today I have for you a small theme and a fitting dialer.
While the theme isn't working well on landscape (I'll do it later), the dialer works both on portrait and landscape - it even works properly on square displays.
Have fun!

wow what a great theme...thnx Utak3r
Thanks. You can download also my theme for BatteryStatus (you can see it in action on this screenshot). It's here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1634471&postcount=2771
This theme reminds me of Ubuntu Linux
Keep up the good work, but pardon me for having a different taste. I only like chocolate brown when I can eat it, not on my today screen.
But can you tell us what the visible today screen plugins are, besides BatteryStatus?
thanks
I like the look of this. Many thanks for your efforts.
Keep up the good work.

Just tried both items; excellent. 2 questions:
- have you thought about having another view option within the dialer to switch off the contacts window entirely?
- noticed as well that whatever view option one selects, as soon as you close the dialer down and reopen it defaults straight back to the "calls & contacts" view option. You might want to fix this so that whatever view option is chosen remains until manually changed over again.
- also have you thought of creating a dialer with a video option within it, so that its universal and can run on, say, a hermes/TyTN?
Cheers

Hi there,
Listen, Robert Ferris created a great little tool BAF GPS Toggle (link). I really use it all the time. However, as you can see in my screenshot it does not go well with a Touch Pro visually. It is really difficult to open and start with a stylus as the space is very limited and often I open an adjoining program/function....
As Robert seems to be busy and said not to have time to keep developing this further, I think it is up to us to make the necessarey adjustments. If I want to do that,... Where do I need to make adjustments, how can I change the today line to fit the text? Where are the images, so I can increase their sizes? And would that do it?
Not only would it make a solution, but it would be fun to learn to do this myself as well.

By the way, I am leaving China for Australia and am not sure how often and how quick I will have access to internet. So if I don't reply immediately you know why.
Thanks for your advice!
I don't know about your program specifically but you can change the size of the text displayed by going to Settings->System->Screen
In there there is a tab called 'Text Size', you can change the size of your text there.
Thanks for the suggestion. However, that would change all text sizes... not this individual program line....
From the looks of it, the icon on the left next to the text is the cause. On a 320x240 screen (on the developers site) it displays as the same size as the text. But when you run it on a VGA screen the icon appears half the size.
The developer has to make this cosmetic change or you can resource hack the program to try to replace the icon (if it'll work)
...Sorry, just tried this for you, it won't change the line height if you resource hack the program. The author will have to make the changes internally to the dll.
My name is Susi and I am from Germany.
I have been involved in the last week with the design of my new phone and I come across this forum.
Of course, on hdwall.
Now, I have the following problem:
Here is a picture of my current display:

To 1: my little pictures are cut off below! Why?
To 2: it shows the old pop-up pictures! Why?
No one can help me?
hi susi...im pretty new to this also but i can give you a few pointers to look for i think. first of all with your icons there are 3 different icons sets in manilla you must change. you have got the non active icons changed to your horses, then there is an icon set for active (when you press the icon) you must change. then there is the large icon set for when you hold the slider icon and it appears in the middle of your screen. as for the cutting off of your icons i think you need to make your bottom curtain transparent and that will show them fully. i have yet to be able to change my icons yet, but for the curtain I use Max TF3D Theme Maker v4.1. searchfor this in the blackstone forum. there is a tutorial on how to use it in maxcys thread. I hope this help you some. good luck.
edit: on second look the reason your icon are being cut off may be because they are too big. I think the non active set can only be 64x64.....someone please correct me if i am leading susi astray.
Thanks rdub4nd,
my pictures are in the specified size 64px + 128px
the little once are even smaller only 48px
i choose all the pictures with HDWall an than i create the cab.
exactly as prescribed.
than i copy the cab in my phone, start it and it will be correctly installed.
but it´s dosn´t correctly, see my screen
I do not know where my mistake is and I'm unhappy
EDIT: in which folder I should copy the manila files?
Hi there,
i already tried to search for a solution but if there is a help i cant make up the right phrases to find it. So i got ADW and Simple Text App. I wanted to get the Bottom with a continious background and with the entire bottom like this -->> [i.imgur.com/Tg6Hk.png]
But instead i get a floating Square not reaching the top/bot/left or right side. -->> [mytoby.de/pics/screenshot.png]
i already maxed the size of the action icons (10) as well as the max icons (5) and thats all i can find. i dont have the full bot or a continious backgroud. if i enable the background its more like surrounding tube around the icons but not the full bottom. I hope i didnt started a new Thread on an already answered topic so pls dont punish me i really tried to find it myself
I hope you can help me or direct me to a solution.

have you tried launcherpro..it could be that, not ADW or Go Launcher?
It's a dock. You upload the .png file and it's in the background for the launcher. It's like the ones with the faux-iphone docks.
So the Icon has to be text only and then a black dock with modified alpha. I give that a try. But i think i will end up with a tiny text. Will add the Result.
Edit: I tried it with all launchers at the beginning.
So i tried that with LauncherPro and everything. So it looks like what i want but now you can see the scaling issue i wasnt able to clearly express I use 2.3 and there was a new resolution introduced but do all devs use then 2.2 or can i scale it to make it bigger?

OpenCV was continually distinguishing something, yet gave loads of false hits. additionally it is an excess of work to gather every one of the photos for what i have as a primary concern. i have attempted three routes with OpenCV:
FeatureDetection (SURF, ORB et cetera) - > was much too moderate and insufficient elements on my articles.
Format Matching - > appears to just work when the layout is precisely a section out of the scene picture
Preparing classifiers - > this worked the best as such, yet is an excess of work for my objective, and still gives excessively numerous false discoveries.
metaioSDK was working alright when i took my reference pictures (the symbol part of every catch) out of a photo like appeared above, then printed the full picture and pointed my android gadget camera at the printed picture. be that as it may, when i attempted with the genuine catches (not a photo of them) then nothing got distinguished any longer. in the metaio documentation it is said that the reference pictures need heaps of elements and shading contrasts furthermore ought not just comprise of white content. indeed, as you see my reference pictures are precisely the inverse from what they ought to be. in any case, that is exactly how the catches look
