Droidsense, not working, help me troubleshoot!

I have been wanting to use Droidsense for about a week now but it does not work for me. The author seemed excited to fix it, but his fixes all involved me installing all of his other apps, which either required windows (im a linux user) and still didnt work for me on a windows computer.
I know other users are having similar problems based on market comments, so maybe we can find something in common with the failures and narrow it down.
If you have used Droidsense and gotten it to work (anything besides #4 authorization error) or if it fails, please tell me which and some info about your account.
Example, does your username contain all letters, all numbers, is it gmail etc. Does your password contain all numbers/letters, a mixture etc? Password / username length? Obviously dont give out actual email addresses or anything, just general info.
I have 8 letters, 3 numbers in my email, its a gmail.com address and my password was 7 letters and 2 numbers. I have since tried a password with al letters (8 lowercase letters) and it still did not work. I have tried wifi, edge, 3g and hspda and I have made sure I can connect to other ssl sites and programs (paypal, bank apps).
Also if you can think of some
thign else that would cause some to be able to login, but others not please chime in.
Hi Darkrift
I'm the developer of DroidSense.
I continue to search why it doesn't work for some accounts.
If you want to help me, I can send you a small "documentation" to help me to find the problem. Send me a private message with your email address and I'll send you this doc. Or send me an email via my email in the market.
It work for lot of people but I don't know why that doesn't work for someone like you.
Regards
Nicolas
Ho, I read your post to fast...
You are the guy who I sent the doc...
I wait to find another guy who have the problem and running windows to try to fix the problem.
If someone in this forum have login problem with DroidSense, please contact me to help me to fix that problem.
If you want to debug you need to do it properly, not just hit and miss guessing.
Grab a copy of ADB, there is compiled copies about for lin/win/mac if you can't find anything and run a 64bit ver of lin I can give you a copy that I built.
Using ADB you can run 'adb logcat' to get a dump of the system output and more importantly any exceptions that occur that aren't caught you can get a full dump. There is a lot more you can do with ADB, but that's a big start.
delta_foxtrot2 , you are right, the next Lite version I'll publish will be debuggable with informations in the logcat.
I'll try to publish the update this week.

Nicolas

WP8 MDM: how to hack?

After enrolling my Lumia 920 to the corporate Exchange email, new MDM (mobile device management) policies are applied to my phone. It's OK but company administrator(s) set the unlock password (pin) expiration time too short. Every damn month I should choose and remember a new pin... And I can not use the old pins (or I don't know what is the time for "clearing" my old passwords).
Do you know/could you suggest any tricks/hacks to get around this situation? I want to reuse my old pins.
Hey Dude,
I don't think that you can do anything. And this is not the correct thread for such questions.
In the MS World the recommended value for reusing old passwords is 24 so after 2 years
(if 4 weeks was choosen) you can use the first one again.
Why do you think it's an incorrect forum? This forum is about "hacking", and I need a hack. It's definitely not a "Q&A" or "General" forums question...
Hmmm this WOULD fall under the Q&A because it is technically asking a how-to although it involves hacking. Typically the threads under the Development and Hacking are threads that start projects with the hopes of hacking instead of asking how to. With that said, I'll move that over there for now and if there is some development that comes out of this, it can be renamed and moved back to Development and Hacking.
If you have a registry editor, it's pretty easy to tweak those settings. Unfortunately, you're on a Lumia so right now that's not possible (we're working on it!)
The only other option I can think of right now is to try intercepting the communication between the phone and the corporate server. Exchange ActiveSync uses HTTPS, so any standard HTTPS proxy (like Fiddler or Burp Suite) should work. You may need to set the proxy to use a client certificate (if one was provided for your phone), and you definitely need to install the proxy's certificate on the phone (so the phone trusts it to spoof the corporate server). Anyhow, once you have interception set up, it should be pretty easy to modify the policy rules that get pushed down.
In either case, though, the changes will only last until the next time the phone checks its policy rules. I don't know how often that happens - it *might* even be only at initial enrollment, in which case if you un-enroll and then re-enroll you should be fine - but it could be a problem.
GoodDayToDie, thanks for reply. Could you remind me: is it possible to just read values from registry on the Lumia handsets? At least I want to know value of the DevicePasswordHistory settings (according to this article).
[UPDATE] I installed Fiddler's root certificate on the phone, and able to catch & decode https traffic; however there is nothing about provisioning xml in the content, account synchronization produces 3 https requests, first response is a short binary data, second contains an email body (or header) etc. , no xml at all. Looks like MDM policies are applied only on service discovery (I should google for that). Will try to remove this Exchange account and add it again. By the way, I'm not very familiar with the Fiddler: can I change https XML response on the fly?

How to create JSON Service fastly through Arrray.com

Hi guys,
my name is Fabio Falanga and I want to introduce an idea that I developed with my friend Dario Carella.
Our idea was to create something that could simplify creation of web services could be used in our Android app, which is useful especially in the early stages of developing an app, where you do not yet provide a complete backend .
The idea is to have to devote himself to the Android code omitting start writing the backend of our app (plus point is if you do not have the skills or if you do not have time to make it happen, but you want to present a prototype in short).
Through the portal arrray.com you can create JSON service accessible from the mobile (or even from the web) in a completely free way. Simply insert the JSON document that you want to use, the name, a description (optional), tags (optional) and save the entry.
Once this is done we will be given a url address containing a token with which we can then make changes to the document, which will be public but not editable by anyone (just who will have the token can do so). In this way you can also create projects in teams. We preferred this approach to prevent users another tedious registration.
Once the insertion, just make an HTTP request from our Android app api.arrray.com/ID address (url provided following the creation of arrray.com). Requests must be made in reading as is normal REST through the GET method. In doing so we will have our backend ready to use, according to our specifications and without having to use any programming language, if not the knowledge of the JSON format.
We are open to suggestions of any kind (note that arrray is at a preliminary stage of development, many tasks are already in the queue: P).
I hope that arrray can be useful for the realization of your app with Web Service,
Fabio

Looking for someone with Vondroid account who could mirror one ROM for me

Hi folks,
I wanted to download "CFW Vondroid Cube U35GT2 v1.2" custom ROM from Vondroid (I would provide a link, but that's disabled for new accounts. sorry). However, the signup form for that website doesn't work (reCAPTCHA fails to load) and none of the alternative signup methods are properly configured. I wanted to contact the site owners, but the reCAPTCHA is also bugged on the contact forms and their FB account didn't respond to my message.
I would really appreciate if someone who already has an account on Vondroid could download that ROM and mirror it somewhere for me.
Thanks!
