Aluminum bumper case - Galaxy Note II Accessories

I've read through a few of the reviews but wondering how does the bumper hurt/help with grippiness. I've notice that the phone starts to feel very slippery once my hands start sweating but I love the look of the bumper.
Decisions, decisions
EDIT: And if anyone has one, have u used the bumper if a dock? Any issues?

Bumpers for corners?

I don't know if anyone else is thinking the same but these things are built like bricks . I would just like some stylish colored bumpers for the corners. Kind of like the ones for the iPhone. I seen ssomeone made clay ones for an iPhone but I wonder if anyone is gonna try to produce them?

Good idea, I'd buy one. I have a bumper type case for my Galaxy Nexus and love it.
maybe there is a case out there that you can cut into a bumber case. i did this with the galaxy nexus incipio neo hybrid and it works and looks perfect.
Yah. Even if I made em out of rubbery clay. An you used carpet adhesive. I wonder.

[Mod] Samsung official flip case with tpu bumper?

Anyone tried this? I'm waiting on my dx tpu bumper to ship. Im thinking of modding it to work with the flip cover. If anyone has done this please post pics/links as I will do the same as soon as mine ships. Unfortunately the bumper I ordered is backordered

I cut a elago s5 case to use with the flip cover yesterday but if you look closely at the flip cover beside the regular battery door its considerably thicker... no way its going to go on. A tpu case wont work either im afraid.. its just too thick.

I am currently using this case, in order to retain the flip and protect where a bumper would...

Any skins that just covers the back? (looking for brushed steel)

Skintomi has a skin but they're full body and $20. I just want the one for the back cover as I'm looking to go with an aluminum bumper case and I'm not a fan of the shiny back side.
Full body from zagg is frosty but still semi transparent. It gives texture fill and phone is not do slippery.

would prefer something non transparent. but i'll check out zagg. are they still making their on screen display protectors with that orange peel look and tacky feel?
After only 5 days there is slightly "orange peel" look. About "tackiness" I prefer it's feel with stylus, it is more like real paper.

Check out best skins ever. Fraction of the cost of zagg

I'm intrigued now
.... I have to return some videotapes....
Why not just buy replacement back covers from ebay? Most of them have the brushed steel look and in different colors.
I had a gelaskin on my Gnex. Thy have some great designs but you can also use your own image. Might also be an option although an expensive one.

You could buy 3M vinyl wrap? I used it for covering my Samsung tpu case since I hated getting finger prints on shiny back. One I used has steel brush effect and came out pretty nice.
3M 1080 BRUSHED BLACK METALLIC VINYL CAR WRAP - 12" x 60" (1ftx5ft)
That's the one I purchased for $10 and that's enough to cover your device lifetime for fraction of cost!

This case is only good for protection from scratches. While using this case I dropped my Note 2 from 2 feet onto pavement and the screen cracked. The case is great if you want something very slim but I wouldn't trust it for drop protection. The casemate tough case is also very slim but provides 10 times more protection.

I only use this case for after work during work i use a otterbox commuter

Yep, read another post with someone dropping their phone using this case and it shattered the screen. It's slim and protects from scratches, but next to nothing drop protection.
+1 for Case-Mate Tough as one of the slimmest cases with a drop protection on par with other cases twice of it's thickness.
awesome!
I just like this case cause phone still looks sexy with it and im pretty carefull with my phones but i do construction work so otterbox comnuter goes on at work

I like my cruzerlite case, this doesnt look all that great.
Lol but everytime i see Verizon customers with note 2 it makes me giggle, cuz of that home button advertisement.

I have the aluminum button from spigen over the home button for that very reason.
Back to this case to be honest I didn't even think it looked all that great. The back is an absolute grease and finger print magnet.
After getting my phone replaced I tried out the seidio surface case (which I liked, good kickstand) before finally settling on the casemate tough case. It seems to be the perfect marriage of slimness and protection. Although I'm probably going to order the seidio convert case add on for the surface case I already own for those trips where I might want additional protection.

It comes in 3 colors for 10 bucks. Actually the black and silver look very nice, much better than stock and I actually prefer the tactile feel. It has a very nice metallic spiral design. I was concerned about the button moving around but after 3 weeks so far the adhesive is very good. I'd recommend it especially if you have a Verizon note 2.

looks good
I had a slim case on my N2 once, a Nilkin one but pretty much the same design as this one.
Then I dropped my phone whilst getting out the car, and now I have a dirty great big crack across the bottom of my screen. No insurance...
Now I have my phone in an Otterbox, with a film screen protector to hopefully stop the crack getting worse. I has a very big sad.
Do yourself a favour, avoid slim cases as they're worse than useless. They give a false sense of security that WILL be shattered, along with your screen, when you drop it. If you're going for a case, get something that PROTECTS!
That's exactly what I just wrote in another thread for Case-Mate Tough. If you want a super slim case, great grip, and durable corner protection to give you a piece of mind - there is no better choice but Tough case.

Does anyone have a review of this case
Sent from my HTC6525LVW using XDA Free mobile app
Siedio sent me one to review.
Overall its pretty good but adds a little bulk to the device. The metal kickstand is solid and uses a magnet to keep in place. I have the red which has a slight metallic look to it. Not as slippery as bare metal but still a little.
Found no real issue with it. I have a MIME feather and it slipped on well over its edges. The holster is a holster, nothing too special. I think it would give moderate protection from small drops, although I never test drops, not brave enough.
Overall solid case.
Edit: Although its stated on their sit I thought I'd add the IR blaster doesn't work with case on. I will only be using it in the woods do not that concerned. Lastly, testing an XtremeGuardz full body (just the back) and it had no affect on how the case fit.
Thanks
