So while I'm not entirely a noob, I've flashed my Kindle Fire many times, but I'm not a hacker or software developer. I just can't help but ask: Where are the ROMs for Atrix HD?
What's holding them back? It's rooted, unlocked, what else is needed?

Recovery is almost finished. As soon as it is, you'll start seeing ROMs in the "DEV" section

A ROM is being made, 4.1 Tablet Mode based, not named yet. 5700 in Quadrants! Check out the General section

You can bet there will be ports from RAZR HD too, depending on how much work it is to port (could be none and could be so hard its easier to just make a rom, im guessing closer to none though). We will have a decent amount of roms here soon.

Hello Guys!
I'm no stranger to rooting, I have had HTC/Samsung phones, and I know what to do.
I just received my kindle as a present, and I absolutely adore it....a few problems....no flash, and spotify keeps damn crashing since the development for the kindle for it is utter crap! So, I figured I'm going to need to do a root and a custom rom me thinks.
Can anyone recommend a nice safe method of rooting my kindle, and a great custom rom to install with it. My version is 7.2.3 (Very new kindle).
Thanks for your help people!

Congrats, you got a tablet with locked bootloader. I was also hoping to be able to install a custom rom on mine once I got it until I learned about the bootloader... Root's not much of a problem though if you do a simple google search:

or http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/09/17/amazon-kindle-fire-hd-7-already-rooted-heres-how-to-do-it/
As for custom roms, check out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2029826
Personally I'm going to just wait for something stable to get developed and count my blessings that someone's even working on it.
I finally got my AHD rooted and unlocked, and I've seen people mention a thread about installing CWM manually and another for enabling LTE on various ROMs, but I can't, for the life of me, find those threads. Could someone point me in the right direction?
Also, I've already tried Batakang (not Rises) and Joker and neither found any signal on AT&T.
I see the AOSPizza and Batakang Rises (should) get signal on AT&T but I'm not sure.
Thanks, in advance, for the help!
They both should get signal problem. The thread for the razr to Atrix fix is.

When you say unlocked, do you mean SIM unlocked? If so, how did you go about doing that?
Thanks!
I'm sure he meant bootloader unlocked. There's no method we know of other then asking third party sites.

Yes, I meant Bootloader unlocked.
I looked in the thread you linked above and it doesn't have anything relevant to me. I don't (think) I have a problem getting LTE or wifi, just connecting to AT&T. I looked under Settings-More...-Mobile Networks, and the APN section is greyed out so I can't add AT&T info. Currently using AOSPizza, hoping to use it as a daily driver.
Ive read 10.1 is horrible...
I need camera to work and also need the version to work with the GSM hack.

In that case, there is *no* CyanogenMod that's best for the Droid 3.

You're story is missing some details. Firstly, it doesn't come with any version past 2.3.4, so you must have done some hacking before that. In either case, the simplest solution to a bricked device is flashing a 2.3.4 sbf using rsd lite. (You could get the latest sbfs from sbf[dot]droid-developers[dot]org. See this article for more information: Thread 1255198
The Droid 3 stock is only 2.3.4, but Milestone 3 has 2.3.6

This entire thread is hilarious. If you would like to know what the best D3 roms are...try them. They have all been released publicly. They are right here in this forum. They are all available to you, so use them.
I just updated my KFHD to 11.3.2.2 and was wondering the procedure to root it? Alot of the post say that they have the same version number as me and rooted, yet i couldnt find a tutorial on how they did it. I have root experience w/ my Droid RAZR Max HD so I'm not a total noob, im just having a tough time w/ this device. Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thank you.
Any luck with this?

I am trying to do the same thing but the different versions of the tablet have me nervous to just jump in. I have Kindle Fire HD 7" 8gb WiFi 11.3.2.2.
i also have the same issue. i have a kindle fire hd 7" second gen with version 11.3.2.2 and i have yet to find a root procedure/files that work with my kindle. and i also havent found any android versions to work with it. i am not experienced in roooting so if someone could please post a complete procedure plus files of the entire process it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I do have rooting experience but there is no exploit for 11.3.2.2 at this time I tried the all in one tool with the fastboot cable so I guess we just wait until one over the developers work their magic.
lol 11.3.1 was nice with root. wtf forgot to disable OTA's with kindlefree and now this sucks
i just tried the root for 11.3.1.0 and it failed of course. using 11.3.2.2 now
Just got into rooting and now im looking on how to install a new rom. Could someone explain/link on how to do this and if its even possible on the latest version 7.5.1 also how could I stop the auto matic updates? Thanks!

Take the advice. Read. It's all there. Just rooted my son's Kindle with 7.5.1 a bit ago. Got CM11 on it. Much easier than it
Was a year or so ago. Added bonus, if you search and read how to do it, and follow the instructions carefully, less of a chance of bricking, and better chance that if you mess up, you'll know how to fix it without having to ask for help.

I'd like to get in on this too. I have a KFHD 7.5.1 too and all the rooting into I find is for older versions.
