I believe that someone wrote that the Honami doesn't have small apps so you will have to use the ones that we have on the XZ.
I could be totally wrong tho.

Hi Guys,
I've been struggling with making my own themes wchich could support honami apps in Monx' hybrid Honamix rom with no success I want to make them very bad, but don't know where to find control files which will force the theme.apk to follow colour accents i.e. background for word suggestions in honami keyboard or bg for index letters in phonebook etc. Can anyone help me with this. I recommend you to use xposed framework. It's pretty easy to make modules for it and it lets you to make changes in apk without touching it.

yes, you have to decompile the apk and change values in some resource files. I did it before (raising the values to 6x7) for my Rom and many other members across different devices/forums
There is definitely no exact tutorial how to do it. But if you search you'll find all the necessary entries to change. Of course you need the knowledge about de/compiling the apk.

The easiest method is to download the XPosed framework by @rovo89. Then install the launcher 4x5 module.
Use Google to find xposed download link.

You can't do that without porting the entire SystemUI.
