the tutorial is tested by numerous individuals that it works.
you could look at who Thank'ed Post #1 and ask them personally, if worried.
i personally haven't tested the downgrade of OSPL 5.xx method...
but it had gotten multiple successes.

Nope, I have no need to! Read carefully and judge for yourself. Not sure if one can say that flashing is risk free.

You will have to go to the HTCDEV.com site and unlock your bootloader in order to root now that you have the ICS update.

If you just want to root your stock ROM, then you can simply flash su-3.0.7.zip from recovery mode instead of flashing a custom, rooted ROM.

Forum rules:
3. Post using a clear and descriptive subject and message.
You're most likely to receive a helpful answer to your question, if you use a short subject title that describes your problem and a message that explains in detail, what your problem is and what you've done to try solving it.
Click to collapse
Imo ''thanks in advance'' isn't a clear and descriptive subject...
5. Create a thread or post a message only once.
As a large forum, we don't need unnecessary clutter. You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer, revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time so it might take a while before you receive an answer. (Also refer to Rule 16)

Do not "bump" a thread more than once per 24 hours.

my friend I have all the required material installed but still its not working, please guide me through may be i'm doing something wrong
Hey, first time poster, kind of familar with rooting and installing roms but I've never had a problem like this on my xperia z3 compact...
I can't get into TWRP recovery mode, I had it working but I installed a custom ROM and I lost it! My root is still good and I have my bootloader installed...
What steps do I do? I don't want to redo all the steps I did in this thread "http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/how-to-root-backup-drm-keys-t3013343"
It's probably a simple fix I hope.
Thanks if you can help.
