Please don't laugh, I'm rubbish at these kind of things
Anyway this is a short review of the Nillkin case for the Xperia T. So, lets get into it.
On arrival it came in a nicely packed package shielded with bubble rap to protect against any large knocks and bangs. (Though as a hard shield protector for a phone I don’t think it mattered) .
The packaging for the case seemed professional and eye catching. Inside the packaging there is a manual, the case and a screen protector set (Screen protector, fibre cloth) etc. Though you don't actually need the screen protector as the XT comes pre installed with one straight from the factory.
View attachment 1489648View attachment 1489711View attachment 1489697
First impressions of this case are that its absolutely awesome!, The subtle arc design of the XT hugs around the case creating a awesome unique look of the phone with a black and white outline contrast, which in my opinion makes it looks fantastic.
Fitting the phone into the case was fairly easy and seems to be a tight fit. The Cut outs for the Camera, flash, speaker etcetera are perfect and don’t overlap onto them. (see the picture below).
The back of the case as you can see below is textured to improve grip and to give a stable feel when holding the devise. When using the phone it has a nice feel not too thin and not too bulky. Lastly, There is a Branding logo and name on the back of the case, this I don't like. It takes up a area of the case with a ugly looking logo and in my opinion spoils the look slightly.

Overall, I think this case was worth the money I paid for it, hope it serves me well out in the field. I do currently recommend this for people to buy I've had it for around a week, and now can finally drop it without feeling worried about it smashing or cracking.
Here is some pictures of the case of the XT. (Taken on Gs2)

Yeh i agree, I had one for my XS and it was awesome, saved my phone a few times from some high drops
I'm still looking for an option which covers also the top and bottom end of the phone. You all know murphy, when this sucker falls, it WILL hit the ground with the unprotected side first...
Guess Otterbox would do the job, if they brought ut a case for the T family of phones. They dont seem to be too keen on supporting Sony, their current and past lineup for that manufacturer is rather... slim.
I got the black one like 2 days ago and it's just perfect!

A friend of mine ordered the red one for his Xperia P and it too looks pink. Definitely different from mine which is a nice red that matches my red Xperia P. I think some are a bad batch or something cause mine looks great.

The back grip of the Nillkin hard case doesn't provide much grip, I had one and left it on uneven surface and it slide down and fell. Luckily only a small dent on the bottom.
It is a nice case, nice fit, doesn't add much bulk but its hard to get to find grip on the back cover.
Hard case never protects the top and bottom front parts properly
Totally agree. Found some options browsing Amazon though. Will report back here when I found something a bit "more protective" than the current offerings in this thread.
I got this case in black.
This is perfect of both look and quality which makes all other cases so ugly and cheap.
Where can I get this white case in Mexico? Any idea to get it?

I don't know about better protection, but this hard phone has withstood some pretty horrific drops with the case.
IMO the hard case looks better than the soft cases.

Hi Everyone...just received my case from Verizon...it's this one:
(d'oh...I'm a new user and it won't let me post links...it's the black one on the Verizon Wireless site that has the hole for the xperia logo and company name. Also it has the circles emanating from the logo)
Just wanted to say that I highly recommend it. It snaps on securely and actually makes the device look a bit cooler, with the back of the case accentuating the details of the phone (the SE logo, the controls, the camera). It feels like hard rubber and doesn't stick in my pocket (some of the early phone cases were hard to pull out of my pocket because they seemed to have static-cling with the innards of my pocket). It adds a bit of depth to the phone which actually makes it feel better when playing games.
The power button is a bit harder to press with the case on but I've adjusted to using my fingernail rather than my finger itself. Everything else works just as well.
I know some people are wondering which case to buy. This one is expensive, but I think it's worth it.
I also just got this case today and I would also recommend it. It was $25, but well worth it imo. Very good quality and looks the best of all the cases. It fits perfect and doesn't make the phone too bulky at all.
I was trying to decide between this case and the other one that Verizon offers but decided to go with this because like you said, the material won't collect lint and get caught up inside your pocket. Plus I liked how it had the cutout for the SE logo and Xperia.
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/...ryDetails&archetypeId=12635&accessoryId=47578
My local verizon store offers the same case with a semi clear orange plastic that looks great. I have to agree that this case feels superior to others I've tried.
Damn in in the UK. ..

lol! I must be the only person in the forums who HATES that type of "case". Its two pieces of a plastic shell that have sharp edges. I have that stupid case, it collects inordinate amounts of lint, I have to take it off frequently to clean my phone. Sadly, it also does nothing to protect the device. I guess to each his own, but I don't recommend it. It really takes away from the phones natural style. I may put it back on to reevaluate since I only used it for a day before peeling that crap off; but I'm looking at a picture as I write this and the same feelings of disgust are bubbling back up from the pit of my stomach... One can only hope someone will eventually develop a case for sliders that isn't 2 overpriced thin strips of plastic. Final thought, reminds me of the original XBox controller, and not the S type.
If you take a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1015211 You'll see many reports of people who are quite happy with their case, even though they're very very cheap.
The verizon link is for customers only from here - could you please post some pictures or links to them. Thank you

here's one in the UK
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLACK-SHE..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item2a11cee370
There's this one as well, its a gel case, I'd prefer this as the gel ones seem a bit more durable than the hard ones in my experience
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gel-Case-..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item3cb96665ce
I would get one but I just got the extended battery and have a zagg shield over the other bits (which I would recommend but does affect the touch surface)
@wired84,
Uh mate, I think you got it wrong. They were asking about the Verizon case. What makes it so cool is the ripple effect and the Xperia being visible. Not just any hard case (or gel case).
Circle Case
Yes I am sure the case that is more expensive is better. I went cheap and got a crappy case that didn't last. The things that hold the case to the phone snapped off and now I'm left with 2 rubber flaps that fall off.
I also think gel cases are the best cases, however i would like a case which doesnt make the play a bigger brick than it already is..
+1 recommending Verizon case. Bought it with the money I saved buying the Play on sale, great case. Certainly better than the one they sold me for my old Droid.

yeah i guess the rearth case protects the corners better than the others right ? im talking about the nillkin cases (which is 50% cheaper ) , would need a better comparision though...
Hard to tell but does seem to be a bit better than the Nillkin. Not sure why it's so hard to make a slim case that covers the corners. I realize the stylus is there but they should be able to work around it.
The worst drops are the ones where the corner hits hard - almost always a crackled screen.
If you are buying a thin case like this, it's a foregone conclusion that you aren't looking for protection. I am not certain why people who don't own the case find the need to always point out its lack of top and bottom coverage, even though that's obvious from the pictures. I have bought a Rock case knowing this, to protect the back when sliding it on tables, putting it down in the car, etc. I have a separate case for protection, but these slim cases are not in that category.
To the OP, thx for the link.
I wonder why they mention 2 different models for the case. A int version and US version. Aren't the international and US version going to be the same?

The case is available now on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Feeling-Premium-Verizon-Unlocked/dp/B009POUJ5S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=U
Looking at the pics the top at least appears to be better protected that the other eBay slim cases as the case appears to protect the corners (or at least one corner).
Hard to tell about the bottom of the phone though. Looks to protect the corners from the side views but there is no proper pic of the bottom of the phone in the case. If anyone does order appreciate some photos posted here.
Anyone try those Rock cases listed above?

I did order one in white. It is expected to arrive 30th Oct-2 Nov on the US. 31th Oct in Venezuela. (If arrives by the 30th)... if not, the case will have to stay at my US address for a while. So Ringke and Amazon better ship fast! Availability is the 29th but i have always have a good experience with Amazon.
I have sitting in my US address my unopened White Galaxy Note 2, Spigen Ultra Crystal and a Original Samsung Black Flip Cover. I expect the white Ringke will make it too in my hands the 31th. Will take some pics...
As i see it is just as the Ringke for Galaxy Nexus. Top and bottom should be exposed ...... corners semi protected.,...
It's not the most ideal protection, I'm more of a TPU person....
But so far the original flip case and the Rearth one would seem the better quality cases out there..., so far. To this date...
I also saw on Amazon the Elago... they seem to be the same as Rearth...., but in doubt picked Rearth from the brand as seeing their job on Galaxy Nexus cases.

?? I had the rearth for Galaxy Nexus. The phone is fully protected for drops - all corners and back are fully covered and sufficient lip to protect the screen in case of a light drop. You sure you had the rearth ringke? See the GNex pics at http://www.rearthusa.com/sprint_verizon_galaxy_nexus_slim.html
Used it for nearly a year and it was the perfect case for me which is why I'm such a fan. It even took more than a few drops with no damage to case or phone. I think the thick cases are overkill for normal day to day use IMHO. An ultra-slim like the rearth, as long as it protects all corners, is fine.
I'm really hoping the note 2 is similar to the nexus case. Looking forward to seeing your pics.
This looks like a good case just ordered it myself. Also grab this one if your interested.

I've been using this case way before the Note 3 was announced with the leather back case. The one for the Note 2 works well. It adds the extra grip to the back of the surface for traction versus the stock oem one. Also, since it's not an oem back case, you'll have to sacrifice not being able to use nfc.

I've ordered the White leather battery cover from eBay. It comes with nfc too. Looking forward to test it and see if it feels ok. A bit tired of the soapy cover as is now. To slippery.

To be honest, I would be careful with a replacement battery cover.
I have one with fake leather and it is much hard to take off.
I think the Note 2 has some kind of design where kinetic energy in a fall is transfered towards the back of the case pushing out the back cover thus loosing a lot of the impacts power. When the back cover has different hinges and does not come of , the impacts energy is much higher.
I am saying this because I always noticed how the battery cover flipped out on the original backcover and never got a screen damage. And letting the phone fall with a different back cover which did not come off, and the screen breaking instantly.
back cover options and breakage
First of all..I have to say the new leather look of back cover looks awesome. Also the Carbonkevlar is damn nice too. However, No back cover is designed to help the phone break a fall. Thats why you choose a protective case as insurance and compromise on hiding its beauty, while covered by ( in my situation, The otterbox defender for my note 2. And so I can have the leather cover hidden, but enjoy its beauty when cleaning, relaxing at home on a soft, safe zone.
If you read this forum..dozens if not hundreds of people who choose to not obsure its beauty with a protective case, take the chance of dropping the fragile phone , and breaking the " Gorilla Glass", scratching the surrounding areas, bezel etc.
Argh sold out of the black with nfc.... Boo urns.

I bought one very similar to this, but I had the NFC sticker already applied. I like mine, but it does make the back a little thicker. It made my Case-Mate Tough a tighter fit, although I probably wouldn't normally put this case on with this back.
I agree with one of the comments made earlier about how it was a little more difficult to put on and off than stock. Since I mostly recharge my phone by replacing batteries rather than using a charger, this could be an issue.
On the other hand, I was trying to see if I could put in an extra 'I' after the engraved lettering and tell folks I had a Note 3.
Leather back is the worst part of GN3 IMO but at least it'll get covered with a case and/or back replacement

I bought the bottom left one in the picture.
Overall, the quality seems acceptable. It looks better than the Samsung Glossy plastic cover for sure.
Con: I wish the back is a lot softer than it is. It has cheap plastic feel. I wish someone would sell a truly soft back like the N3.
Has anyone gotten a vinyl on their phone yet? I have used them many times in the past and I'm super excited about getting one on this phone.
I'm hoping we can get some natural bamboo ones (I'm getting a white phone) and/or some champagne colored ones out there.
Let's post pictures of vinyls, reviews and put recommendations up.

you can find bamboo or something you want from this site. High quality.
I'm ordering mine soon and will be getting some vinyls too. I have a concept people here will dig.
First Character Vinyl (Hand made)
It's super novice and I've never done something like this before. Go easy on me since it's truly an amateur effort and handmade. I've never made a vinyl for a character, but no better way to start than with the new Storm Trooper from Star Wars Episode VII.

Also, looks like I may be ordering the bamboo skin from Slickwraps in the near future. Link here > Natural Bamboo for S6 Edge
This is my new setup. Gonna have a leather pouch with it.
I definitely recommend this natural back vinyl.

Cool story bro.
What are those clear things you have covering the ports at the bottom of the phone?

I'm not a huge fan of this style but I think it's pretty well made! I personally more interested in a leather or PU leather one, with this kind of pretty good quality, you may know where I can find it? Thanks
For sure, everyone has their own style. Slickwraps typically has real leather, cork and even football skin versions on this natural series. I'd dig leather too.
i don't get how people have the balls not to put a case on this phone
Lol I've been a long time smart phone owner and have never dropped a phone. That being said I have insurance! I just have a hard time not using it bare. They spend millions in R&D to develop this design and I can't stand putting it in a case. I had a clear TPU on it and I hated after a few weeks. Lol I'm crazy though.

These are port covers I cut off my old Ringke case. I have real dust covers in mail though. Lol

Here's the solid orange Slickwrap color with my Ringke Fusion (case fits very tight.. had to force it on and it caused a few small tears on the sides of the skin). Install was super easy and for the screen protector I just cut a Healing Shield so that it fit perfectly in the opening. If the screen protector covers anything other than the actual screen then it will not work with the front skin.
The only issue I have is getting the corners to sit down on 1 side... I think it will eventually flatten out as long as I hold it in place a few more times. Really liking the look.

Man still can't get over how awesome that looks! It's that textured or is it a matte vinyl?

It's matte but has a slightly rough feeling to it. Since I use the case I don't even notice it tho.

Just wanted to post a couple without the case. I love this look.

I finally received my natural bamboo skin from slickwraps today. I think I'm in love.
Dbrand skins are produced using 3MM vinyl and have exceptional accuracy and fit and completion.
I'd like to know where you guys ordered that front tempered glass from, I'm looking for one with a good price.
