Try going to settings > lock screen > background, and check default wallpaper. That's the way I have it, and my wallpaper is the background.
Good luck.

that doesnt take off the clock on the lockscreen

1 out of 2 isn't bad.......
I couldn't find how to take the clock off the lock screen.............

I dont think there is a way to remove the clock. You could always use a third party lockscreen like widget locker.

try widget locker...

[Q] Transparent lockscreen?

Hello everyone -
I'm looking for a transparent lockscreen solution for my cappy. There's a thread about doing this for the Hero/Eris, but it requires a Sense odex. (tried to post URL but I'm not allowed as new user...)
My ideal lockscreen is transparent over the default home screen, so I can still see my standard clock and other home screen widgets. I've tried Widget Locker but I don't like it.
Any help or suggestions?

Could probably modify android.policy to remove lock screen entirely, lol. It's probably a ton more work to enable a sense-style lock.
Or install nolock and adjust your screen timeout to a low number. Pressing the power button would then go straight to your homescreen with full functionality and pressing it again would just turn the screen off.

Use live wallpaper as background in lock pattern

Good night.
I have been researching this subject for a while and I find no solution.
I would like the pattern lock screen in my S2 to show my live wallpaper (or a different lwp) instead of a regular image.
The new S3 pulls this out easily. How can I have this in the S2? I. tried several launchers but they do not change this option.
Best regards
Before your S3 I dont see any similar option in a stock lockscreen. Maybe a third-party lockscreen app can do this trick. Such as the GO locker may introduce some animated components, but I'm not sure if lwp work.
Anyway, most people want to start using their devices immediately, so I dont see a point why to stare at the lock screen for minutes.

I have an S2.I wish to use a live wallpaper as a background in pattern lock. go locker does NOT solve this.
s2 does not allow me but it it possible in s3.so its a software issue.
how can I solve this limitation?
is there a tweak?

Then try ripple lock or widget locker. I googled, no guarantee.

how can I put the pattern lock with a lwp background like the s3 then?
any thoughts anyone?
thanks
live wallpaper in pattern lock
I know its late and you may figure it out or forgot it.
You should go to settings___ display ___ wallpaper
and choose lock and home wallpaper then you'll see
live wallpapers

My phone only has two options there. Gallery and Xperia wallpapers.
I want to set transparent or null the lockscreen wallpaper and see the homescreen wallpaper in the lockscreen.

It's a good alternative. Although I wanted to use the stock lockscreen, with the widgets.

Background wallpaper and lockscreen different

I am using google launcher and when I try and change my background it does not change the lockscreen background too.
When I go to change the lockscreen background in settings it does not offer the same options to choose from as my normal background...
Not Sure why you are posting this in the Galaxy S6 forum since the question is about Google Launcher. It's not a Galaxy s6 question but, a Google questions.
However, it's been a while since I used Google's Launcher. But, when you choose a wallpaper, it should ask if you want to use it for either the Home Screen / Lock Screen or both.

Easiest way to take care of that is to go to your gallery app or whatever you use to view the image, select "More" in the upper corner, then "Set as wallpaper", then select "Home AND Lock Screen". Profit.

i use the google now launcher too, and i have no problems with this. after you choose wallpapers in the home screen. slide all the way to the right and choose wallpapers again, there you can choose where you want to change your wallpaper, home screen, lockscreen or both.

You'll have to use an other launcher for that, i.e. Nova.
its about AOD not homescreen. Still need a solution to change AOD to remove the weather information.
With NOVA LAUNCHER you can only remove Weahter, Seachrbar etc. from HomeScreen. AOD is the Always On Display you cant change with a new launcher.
Can you get rid of it in the notification settings?
Sounds nasty...
Do you all just want the weather off or date and next alarm also?
