[Q] Recovery - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

why when I return to stock kernel from custom, I lose recovery with that?
Sent from my E15i using xda premium

The recoveries are built into custom kernels, stock kernel doesn't have built-in recovery.

thanx both of you

No, just flash it like you did with nAa's. Just make sure your ROM is compatible with Alfs.

Recovery says it installed correctly see log here
Should I try another version of kernel

try alfs kernel
After flashing SDE via Flashtool, it applies a custom SDE version of nAa 14 which doesn't work properly with any other ROM. So after you're going on another ROM, flash stock 2.1 firmware and then nAa 14. You don't need root in order to flash nAa 14 from fresh 2.1
