[Q] Stuck on HTC loading screen - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

When I boot my phone up I'm stuck on the HTC splash screen.
I read before that I can put a file on my SD card and use HBOOT to recover from this. My question is: I want to restore my phone to the factory rom, what file do I use?
AT&T HTC VIVID HBOOT 1.85.0025

are you s-on or s-off? if your s-on you can just flash the RUU and get back to stock. But you dont flash hboot only time you do that is when you s-off and you do it once. But if you get stuck at the htc screen while flashing a rom your probably s-on you need to flash the kernel using fastboot commands. We need more info on your situation

Thanks for the reply. My phone was completely stock, so I take it I was s-on? I'll do more reading on this s-on/s-off stuff before proceeding. Thanks again.

yea its best to read everything a few times. and remember as long as your bootloader is locked you can flash an RUU so if youve never messed with it im sure it is

S-on/s-off has no bearing on this. Locked/unlocked bootloader does. If your phone was completely stock, then your bootloader is already locked, so you can boot to bootloader (hold vol- and power together), select Fastboot, plug your phone into your PC, and run the stock RUU.
Here are the RUUs (thanks football) http://www.filefactory.com/f/002b74e0f4775869/

I have same problem

When you boot is there an unlocked lock at the bottom of the boot screen? If not, then you need to unlock your bootloader. If you have the Android SDK installed boot into Fastboot by turning on the phone by pressing the trackball and power at the same time and hold them until the phone is in Fastboot mode. Then on your computer in a command prompt window (I am assuming Windows here) type
fastboot oem unlock
Then follow insructions on phone that says you are about to void your warranty by unlocking the bootloader. When you say yes, the phone will clear user data so backup anything you want, and then it will reboot with an unlocked bootloader.

What's wrong with my phone!!!

Okay, so i've been on and off these forums and never decided to create an account until now. (I know you guys see these types of threads a lot)
I have an HTC Vivid and can't get it to boot. Whenever I try turning it on, it goes into fastboot (I have bootloader unlocked) or HBOOT.
I have tried getting CWM on it, but whenever it reboots, it gets stuck at the HTC logo like when you usually boot.
I can re-lock the bootloader, but it wont change a thing.
Also, when I type [adb devices] my device doesn't show up, but the phone says FASTBOOT USE.
When I try a factory reset, all it does is reboot the phone. Also I do not have a SD card with me.
This is my second HTC Vivid (the first one was rooted successfully with the Illiminati ROM but had a malfunction so I got a new one under warranty)
I have been using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1450396
and this program: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1498003 (which may be the cause to all of this idk)
I would invest in a cheap micro sd. I used the zip from the guide thread to restore mine back to stock (although I believe you have to relock bootloader first) and then try to unlock and root etc after that. I know that may not help if you have no way to get an sd. But they are always handy!

fastboot oem lock is the command.
From there, get ruu.exe, connect phone to computer, run the ruu by doubleclicking on the computer, follow the directions of the ruu program.
From there you can unlock the bootloader using the guides posted and flash recovery, then flash custom rom.

If you've never done fastboot or adb before, my guess is that you are probably running stock. If that's the case, got to htc's website and download the drivers for the Vivid, then plug your phone in and proceed to run the RUU.exe. If the drivers are properly installed, the RUU should detect your phone and update it to ICS (make sure to back up your files as phone storage will be erased as well).

[Q] Tried kitkat sideload, now device keeps rebooting

I had unlocked HTC One with Sense, which I had done 4.3 RUU install to convert it to GPe. Fast forward to now... I thought I'd sideload the 4.4 update, and during that process I got
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
installation aborted
I thought, great. No problem, I'll just do the traditional RUU again, I'll be fine.
BUT...
Now I can't boot into old OS. The phone keeps rebooting to the recovery. I tried to wipe-data from recovery, which didn't help. I also tried factory reset from HBOOT, and that didn't do anything either.
I am able to get into HBOOT and Stock recovery, so I know the phone is not bricked. I guess, I never had to deal with this situation before so I'm not sure how to get out of this loop. Is there a way I can get my phone to recognize on my computer, so that I can do the ADB / Fastboot commands?
Help!
PS: It might help to know what my device situation is atm. I have Unlocked bootloader with HBOOT 1.54, S-OFF

To do that, my phone would have to be recognized by the pc first, right? If I plug in via USB, and run adb devices I don't get any devices listed.
At what point should my phone be recognized by my laptop? The phone never goes to the main OS, so is there some way to get it to be recognized on my laptop USB while in HBOOT or Recovery? I have the stock recovery. The top of the recovery screen say s"Android system recovery <3e>"
I'm following along in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2544199 thread for now. A few things are similar. If I see anything different, I'll comment here again to see if anyone can help.
As you are S-Off, you can put the phone in fastboot mode, connect to computer and run the fastboot flash ruu twice.. either 4.3 or 4.4 RUU.
Update your covery twrp to v2.6.3.3 I updated after the looping problem and it worked, it installed with out the boot loops
Fastboot Flash the 4.3 boot.img
Then
Fastboot erase cache
Boot recovery
Wipe data
Flash 4.3 rom

I got as far as flashing the RUU. I ran fastboot oem rebootRUU and then fastboot flash zip RUU-<more-stuff>.zip. The progress on my console shows the process completed successfully, but the phone is stuck at almost 99% on the progress bar. I'll wait for a while and see if it finishes. How long would be too long to wait?

phone does not power on

My HTC One does not power on if it is shut down. When i have luck (which i had actually) the phone powers on. So now my phone is on - if i shut it off, it would not power on again. If it is powered off and i charge it, not even the led lights up. Is seems comletely dead.
I am now running the stock rom and stock recovery. But the bootloader is unlocked and it is s-off.. (no warrenty)
Does anyone have a idea to solve the problem? Or is there anyone with the same problem?

try keeping the power button and volume down pressed while the phone is turned off, for about a minute. This issue is not usually serious, just keeping the power+volume down fr about a minute gets the phone to bootloader mode. Then choose fastboot nd reboot the phone. VOILA
Not sure if ur case is the same, but try it. Post it if that doesn't solve the problem

HTC Boot Loop Flip Out

Aight. I got me a Rooted, S-OFF HTC One rocking the most recent stock OS (can't remember which and my phone is jacked so I can't check) and twrp v2.6.3.0
Yesterday I reset my phone via the power button to clear the cache. I do this at least once a week because, well, it's a good idea right?
Wrong.
It went into a boot loop. It was weird. It would boot up and work for about 10 seconds, then reboot. Even if I caught it in time to fully shut off, it would do so. But if I went to HBoot or TWRP it wouldn't reboot. OK. Let's factory reset via TWRP, restore via Titanium, and all good.
That is until just now it flipped out after and is now in consta boot loop. Can't get into recovery, can't make it turn off, it just loads up and keeps telling me how Google Services have stopped working and then reboots again. I can get the power off function to come up but all it does is reboot again. Advice? Maybe I need to give you more info? I would have more for you but in the process of getting it off my phone to ask about the first occurrence yesterday is when it started flipping out just now.
Please, any advice at all would be fantastic.
Now I got it to stop boot looping, but my homescreen is nonexistent, can only go into stuff that is in the pull down task bar, no app tray, and the power off function still just reboots. And when it reboots, it doesn't even give me the splash pages. Just five seconds later it's back.

can you please reboot in bootloader mode and post the output of ''fastboot getvar all'' (except imei/serialno) and also post a pic of bootloader screen.
btw your twrp version is outdated, latest version is 2.7.1.1.however we recommend using 2.6.3.3 or 2.6.3.4
with your phone s-off, you should consider restoring it with a fresh install using a ruu.
do you have files to backup or you are ok with loosing all data currently on your phone?
All right, I am new to rooting and s-off and all of this. First phone I've done it to, so forgive me if I ask stupid question...

What does that mean? If by bootloader you mean when you press Vol Dwn and Pwr to get the screen that I've posted an image of...then I don't have anything there about getvar all.
How would RUU work?
And I've yet to figure out how to update TWRP, tho I haven't looked that one up yet. I am sure I could figure it out just fine. I've got this far, lol.
I fact reset my phone again, and it is working...for now. But I don't trust it to not freak out a third time. Am backing up all files to my PC as we speak.
