[MOD] Battery Percentage Mod - alternative version

Hello,
I have made some modifications to MaliciousKen's mod of the battery percentage for stock rom:
Changes:
- the main change is to show the percentage even during charging; I based on MaliciousKen's graphic files and just made some changes in the xml
- based on v10d stock rom's framework-res.apk
- retain music notification in the status bar (i.e. same as stock version, you can disable it in Music's setting; there seems no problem in v10d version on this)
This is my first time modifying an apk! Please have a try and let me know if there is any problem

Will it work on mcr10?

No. This version is for stock ROM.

How do i install this ?

You'll install it as is (archive) with option "install zip from sd card".

DO NOT INSTALL THIS !!
If you will make this mistake, do a backup first. In case you don't ,you must flash a new rom.
Just a warning, maybe you have anything else to do these days.

Sorry if it has caused trouble. Now I have uploaded another one based on MaliciousKen's version directly. So hopefully this should work for v10a/b/c.
Do make a backup (at least copy out your original framework-res.apk) before you try.

You don't need to flash a new rom, just install MaliciousKen's version. That worked for me.

hmm.... I did try before posting these files. I only have v10a and v10d stock rom and the above two mods work fine on my phone, so I'm running out of ideas now.
However, if either of the above works for anyone, please kindly let me know.
As said, it's the first time I modified an apk file, so when I found it successful (on my phone), I'm so excited to share here. Too bad if it only works on my phone

I have re-built the apks with another method and tested ok. Please have a try if you have time

which xml file should I edit in order to build a working apk ?
I tried to modify the stat_sys_battery.xml and stat_sys_battery_charge.xml
and I have also put the image file in correct place..
using APKmanager to compile and sign ...
I just got boot loop afterall -__-
Anything I have missed ?

the 1st xml is for the normal display of the icon while the other one is during charging (animation)
i used apktool 1.3.1
(note the latest apktool is 1.3.2 but this one appears buggy, i also had the boot loop with it)

Hello everyone, this is my very first rom. It's based on a stock official gingerbread for optimus one (romanian V20H), people say that it's as fast as another 2.3.3 based roms so i decided to create a custom one.
Mods: (BASIC KITCHEN WORK).
-root
-bash
-deodexed
-zippaligned
-s/e xperia launcher (i love that launcher )
-deleted lg widgets
-custom boot sound
i tried to make ICS transitions but nothing happend . The only thing is that i got smoother transitions (i guess).
the rest of the rom is in stock, including the kernel (i didin't try to change it). you can flash a custom kernel but i don't know if something could go wrong
also i included a file explorer (es file explorer).

Do you have the baseband ? All I've seen is e and g ? Also does it work with T-Mobile ?

i found this version in a forum in the internet (chileandroid.com btw), it is 20h so i decide to test it, and this version is fast enough with a good battery life. some people compared this stock version with another custom roms based on 20c and 20g an they said that this stock are as fast as those custom versions....
so idecide to do my VERY FIRST one. i am not a developer so my work are product of the research

i think it should works with t-moble' p500. i am not sure what would happend with 3g connection. if you decide to test it, share you resullt

There is also a V20I version (UK T-Mobile)

I stay away from kdz....just use LGDMP v1.5 and I saw that v20i is for UK T-Mobile,I'm USA T-Mobile...hmm,I know for sure the MCC/MNC are different

Yep, it's the latest. I'm running it now with no problems (Vodafone RO). It's also DataTracker-FD bugless!

i opened this KDZ in the kitchen and made a flasheable zip with it. the system information said that it's a v20h with tmobile custom anim and some tmobile custom ringtunes, notifications and boot ounds.....

Thanks for the file however I can't move it for some reason.
I'm using FileManager 1.1.6 and keep getting "file cannot be moved". Might it be a problem with this app or should I look for adb instructions?
EDIT: Just mounted /system as read/write and moved the ril file from the sdcard to /system/lib
Now getril is reporting that I'm using 20120313 (V20c, CIS) that sound right to you?

NO. on cm7 rc3 an user of facebook Group "lg Optimus Dual" have no signal with this ril

Quick update for everyone so far.
I've made a few calls and call quality is good. It's probably the same as I was getting from the SU660 BB I had before.
Wifi and data are both working as expected.
Far too early to report on battery life. right now I'm at 68% and charging. Once it's full I will let it sit for a while and see how it drains.
The ROM I'm using is Temasek's 119 released a few hours ago.

I cant find the site today, but i downloaded the file because i though it was a JB for Optimus 2x
Anybody to confirm this?

We need Sherlock Holmes to know is name of the file is JB.
Try to flash it on your device if it's look what device it is it I'll refuse installing. Anyway, make a backup in CWM and flash.
I won't mind people will help you having only generic rom name.

Thanks rayman, you are perfectly correct, foggy question...

According to the build.prop build ID which is in the system folder, this is ICS 4.0.4 for P990. However the build name suggests a JB mod:

No, but it works fine if we replace boot.img and META-INF from Tonyp build.

Well, I Make This NIGHTLY Build I use hjunii's Device, Vendor source, so kernel is not matched p990
but you use TWRP2.6.0.0, You can install ROM without Change Boot.img ( My think)

Your ROM works great on P990.
I try install, but replace only meta folder. Rom is fast and have all bugs like tonyp rom.
One more think, xposed not work! Strange hmm!

Nobody knows something in the forum about you and you was like a "ghost" I don´t stealing youre work i´ve nobody written that this is my work and I didn´t upload anything (Found the links by google)
I´m only asking about stealing because some Chinese has stolen the work from some Developers here and publish it in an othere Forum
For me CM11 by Evil Sniper works faster/Smoother than TonyPs Builds (Don´t know why) So i only would like to show some othere 2x user that this Rom exists. So i haven´t any bad Thinkings !!!
