We are now in team with R-ikfoot , Knight47, Rizal Lovins, Till-Kruspe, ThilinaC, Krabappel2548 and Lalitchhabaria to share an even better work
AC!D Audio provides you an overall better sound quality, more precisely:
● Bass are deeper, crispier and more powerfull, with nice effect without distortion and crackling
● treeble are less aggressive and more immersive (you'll enjoy whistle, whisper, instrument like piano, guitar,... will be much more natural and balanced)
● Voice is really more natural with better balenced EQ for a pure cristal sound for an awesome clarity
● Audio track quality will be enhanced and the improvement will be even noticed on your most crappy headset (even if good headphone are really suggested to enjoy all improvement of this MOD)
This Engine is A port of several Audio Technolgy, each of them are well know to enhance some specific audio part, our goal was to get them working simultaneously with a lot of personnal optimisation modification tweaks and unique features by our Team
Here is a short list of audio technology we prted and modded on this Engine:
● Sony Clearaudio Plus system (an amazing technolgy to enhance clarity of Bass and provide several effect like Clearphase, Clearbass, SRS surround,...)
● Beats Audio Engine (we ported latest beats engine from HTC one XL, and modded it a lot to be great handled by Clearaudio, it improve greatly Bass power and overal surround effect)
● Cyanogen DSP features (it helped a lot to handle better in app Equaliser)
● Dolby Digital Sound (overall better audio clarity with way more natural sound and some awesome features like SRS Wow and Dynamic Bass range)
● Sony Xloud (enhance noticably speaker quality in terms of clarity and volume, it help to ensure there is no distorion in sound even in headset, better balanced treeble and crystal voice)
● Eizo Rewire PRO series (an awesome Audio tool wich brings lots of effect and claim to offer a better balanced and natural Sound)

READ CAREFULLY FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS AND ALL WILL BE FINE!
§1 Remove ALL Third app equaliser (DSP Manager, Market EQ app,...)
§2 Be sure your ROM don't have any other Sound MOD preinstalled
§3 Download AC!D Audio Engine
(You can choose between AROMA and the standard flashable zip, read careffuly the difference between AROMA and SIMPLE)
§4 ONLY if you downloaded SIMPLE ZIP, download walkman player and (if you want) the addon of your choice (Noozxoide for example)
§5 Put downloaded files in a special folder on your SDCARD (or internal storage), you can create an AC!D Audio folder (will be usefull in the future)
§6 Once you have all needed files on your phone reboot in recovery (CWM)
§7 FIRST WIPE CACHE PARTITION AND DALVIK CACHE!!!
§8 SIMPLE UPDATE ZIP: (Walkman is not compatible with any other addon, so you have to choose between Walkman or one of 4 availble Addon)
- AC!D Audio Only (just flash AC!D Engine then reboot)
or
- AC!D + Walkman: First flash AC!D Audio Engine, Then if you want Walkman (with clearbass, xloud etc) Flash Walkman Addon and reboot
or
- AC!D + ADDON: First flash AC!D Audio Engine, (DO NOT FLASH WALKMAN!!!), and then flash the Addon of your choice (Noozxoide for example) and reboot
§9 open an explorer (I recommand Root Explorer) and verify if build.prop lines where added (Go to /system/ and open build.prop file look at the end of this file)
§10 if lines where added correctly just reboot if not add them manually

Little Tips:
- I REALLY SUGGEST YOU TO USE AC!D AND WALKMAN ONLY (without any other Addon) (in my opinion gives the best audio quality) (but walkman might not work on All devices)
- If you can't change volume level in walkman just click on audio effect it will resolve immediately this issue
- ALWAYS FLASH ON A CLEAN INSTALL!!!
- Once it booted leave your phone 5min to let all effect settle then reboot once again!
- DON'T FLASH ANY ADDON IF YOU FLASHED WALKMAN ADDON (NOT COMPATIBLE)
- (Walkman addon may cause bootloop on some devices cause it takes space in system partition)
- IN CASE OF BOOLTOOP ---->REFLASH YOUR ROM AND THEN TRY UNIVERSAL VERSION<----

If you wipe dalvik and cache your phone always will do that nothing to getbworried about and you will get nothing lost

Hi All,
I've got a clean CM10 installed, and I tried this mod.
Everything went OK - I had to edit the build.prop manually to insert the new rows mentioned in the OP.
Then for step 13: -
§13 go to setting sound audioeffect and choose the Equaliser you want (it will keep the one you choosed in memory)
I'm not sure what to do...
I'm guessing that setting audioeffect is in the walkman player. If I leave clearaudio+ un-ticked then I can select a "sound enhancements" menu option, but I get an error "Unfortunately, Sound Enhancements has stopped"
So I've put clearaudio back on.
The sound is good, but it was louder before I edited build.prop and rebooted.
Now its "smoother" with clearaudio+ active, so I'm tempted to just leave it as it is.
If you can from the info I've given, Please let me know if it's installed OK..?
The "smoother" sound is already really good. My kids will be jealous when they hear it tonight

after I wiped cache n dalvik,flashed the mod pack and reboot,when it go to lockscreen,my phone always bootloop
i'm on stock ICS. 587 rooted Xperia Arc,
previously i'm using Acid v4 from Acid v1
is it possible to upgrade directly from v4 without clean install??

How to install EXCLESUS Z v5.0.0 WITHOUT any issues
-Update newest FW (244)
-Update Kernel only to FW 423
-Used DoomLord easy rooting kit V18 to root the device
-Update Kernel only back to FW 244
-Install DualRecovery for LockedBootloader
-Complete Wipe of Internal Storage
-Install Excelsus Rom V4.0.0
-Full startup of device
-Back to recovery mode, Install Excelsus V5.0.0
-Wipe Cache/Davik Cache
-Reboot device

How to update EXCELSUS Z when it gets an update:
1) Download the update and move to storage
2) Reboot in recovery
3) Flash update like normal
4) Wipe only dalvik cache (avoid wiping cache!)
5) Reboot

Per app DPI Instructions - make your apps use tabletui mode!:
1) Download xposed framework , install it and press install/update when you are in the app and reboot
2) Download + install App Setting Modules
3) Go into xposed installer > modules and tick app settings and reboot
4) Go into app settings and then scroll down until you found the app you want to make into TabletUI mode
5) Set the DPI (240 is recommended for standard tabletui) and then set "screen" (dp) to 1000x1600
6) Tap on "save"
7) Go into the app you changed and everything should look like TabletUI now!
Fix call button in dialer bug:
1) Download xposed framework, install it and press install/update when you are in the app and reboot
2) Download + install app settings module
3) Go into xposed installer > modules and tick app settings and reboot
4) Search for SemcPhone
5) change dpi to 480
6) save changes and it should be fixed now

I have some tips for Xposed Framework and apps that is not optimized for lower DPI settings:
Switch the Sony apps like camera, contacts, dialer to 480 DPI (provided that they are the same as in the stock ROM).
I have noticed that the Sony apps works best with that setting, they don't handle multi DPI very well. Other apps is great in tablet mode.
My own settings are those:

I have not tried the 1024 x 600 mode since 1280 gives the proper tablet UI. Those settings are what I use and they work very well but I am on ROMAur 2.6 though. I use similar settings on my Note II and also when I use Paranoid Android.
I can also recommend Tablified Market as a decent way of finding tablet apps. Google Play in tablet mode is also very nice.
Those settings I listed are for the App Settings modul for the Xposed Framework.

I don't know how you unlocked bootloaders flash it so I can't help you sorry
I already stated in the OP that it is not stable and has a few bugs...

It's still pretty buggy and I was planning on doing a normal, stable XZ ROM, if I do then I'll ditch the idea of this rom...
If you guys want me to release a stable version which does not have tablet mode, I may do an easy OTA update in the next version (And change the name of the rom to something else)

yes, you can set any apps per dpi in App Settings Module (In OP) so if I switch back to PhoneUI Mode in the next version, all of you will still be able to choose per app dpi settings

What do you mean?
Are you downloading via pc? it's recommended you download from PC...
I have decided to switch back to PhoneUI with stock 480dpi because it is the optimal dpi for our device + all the other software in the rom
But that doesn't mean you can never have Tablet UI, Xposed Framework with App Settings module will still allow you to modify per app dpi (Like in AOSPA) so you can still do things like that

The UI is ALLWAYS smooth, can perfectly play latest 3d games, good battery life (phone was charged 2 days ago and still have 14%)

The first boot is long...

Hey I found the cause of the bootloop - XLoud
I reinstalled the ROM unticking the XLoud option, now I have sucessfully booted.
The ROM feels snappy! Very smooth UI. I will test gaming later.
Also, could you please change the background of the menus to pure black in next version or could you give me a patch please?

Normally Walkman sound enhancement now work. Have you selected XLoud ?

Oh, i got it. Btw, can you improve the quality of pictures taken by Camera? Their quality are far behind than these from Holo mod by Jader or Cybershot mod.
Where's xLoud located ? I can't find it in Sound settings
Oh and the screen wake is a little bit slow, even though everything else is smooth, can you tell me why ?

How to install
What do you need:
installed flashtool + drivers (will be installed after flashtool instalation)
zip file with ROM -> copy to SD card (DO NOT UNPACK)
ftf file with stock JellyBean ROM (original unmodified firmware) -> save to directory C:\flashtool\firmware

How to do it?
Locked bootloader:
You need to:

Backup your phone.
Shut down your phone
Run flashtool, click on flash icon , select flashmode.
Select file with stock JB ROM from the list. Check "No final verification" and confirm.
Connect the phone after request. Push and hold Volume down and connect cable to PC Wait for flashing to end.
Disconnect phone from PC.
Root a install CWM
Turn on phone.
Hold volume Up a and wait for blue LED until it change to green Enter into CWM.
In CWM select
-> instal zip from sd card --> choose zip from sdcard ---> select .zip (uniQue2-XT-final_aroma-2.1.1.zip) ----> yes
Restart phone, let it boot into system, do basic setup and restart again.

In CWM select
-> instal zip from sd card --> choose zip from sdcard ---> select .zip (uniQue2-XT-final_aroma-2.1.1.zip ) ----> yes
Restart phone, let it boot into system, do basic setup and restart again.

I don't want to offend you, as I imagine there is a huge amount of work behind this project, but the custom UI design looks very bad IMO.
The white / black contrast is way too much, the italic serif font looks absolutely hideous and in general my gut feeling was "no way I'm gonna install this" when looking at your screenshots. You should probably ask someone with an affinity to design and typography to help you improve the looks of your ROM, as otherwise your feature set is impressive.
BTW... is there any way to install this ROM without the skin (keep the original SONY design) ?

We can never be satisfied for all users.
Here you can see ROM uniQue v2.1 with the best things and features, which author (steveboss) wants have in this ROM and here is really a lot of people who are happy for it.
When you don´t like desing of this ROM, you have to find another.
Other way does not exist, sorry

Have problems with superuser and adaway.
Couple of freezes.
Not so smooth as unique 2.

This is crap, the error is on your side.
You try uninstall update of Superuser... and uninstall adaway, next reboot and next install adaway and you must look to display during starting adaway and you do confirm Superuser dialog...

Go to superuser and you do delete adaway twice, next you do reboot and you start adaway and you must allow superuser confirm dialog. Otherwise, you send me to PM link for adaway and I will trying it.

Do not UPDATE Superuser !!! -> it causing problems with root (applications which need root)

After installing the mod the only apps that you have to see in the drawer are BioHazard Audio FX, Yume Audio Dreamer and Viper4Android, The other mods are system files that are activated by default and works In every sound emitted, in all apps, and both in speaker headphones bluetooth etc.
Requirements :
Custom Recovery
Rooted ROM
Experience with root
Permissive Selinux (Use this app)
Make sure /system has 50mb+ of available free space.
Install Instructions :
Download Zip
Wipe Cache
Flash the Zip
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Reboot to system
BioHazard Audio FX not opening ?
Make sure Selinux is set to Permissive
And Perform a soft reboot.
Tested And Working On :

Uninstall and Removal :
The best and easiest way to remove this and any other /system mod from your device is to dirty flash your rom after wiping System in TWRP. Before you begin, make sure you have a compatible rom zip on your internal storage as an OS will need to be installed. As long as you do not Factory Reset or check Data or Internal Storage, your data will be left intact but with a fresh /system partition.
Verify compatible rom zip is on device
Boot to recovery
Wipe > Advanced > System, Dalvik Cache, Cache
Mount > uncheck System
Install > current/compatible rom zip
Reboot !
