[Q] p1000 speakerphone - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I just wanna ask, how to adjust in service menu speakerphone volume due to in-call conversation?
Problem is when I go to audio-speaker-there are 2 volume controles and non of them can handle speakerphone when in-call.I can adjust volume only on side. So, I just want to adjust that incoming and outgoing calls are at "25-35" and speakerphone vol only when I press is "90"
How to do that ?

I think your question is ROM specific.
You should mention what ROM/version you are running so at least people who are on the same version can answer if they know.

yes, I know that but it seems that none rom is better than this two, but I guess that this can handle ?

Is there any way to copy service menu (audio option) from cm 10 or 2.3.3 to cm 9 rc1 ?

pls anyone respond pls

On p1000 there is no combined bar on cyanogenMod 10, cm-10-20121122-NIGHTLY-p1 and phone/call is all messed up.
So, how to put back combined bar like in cm-9.0.0-RC1-p1, and can you provide me dw link for "most stable" cm 10 but WITH combined bar (with home, back..on screenbuttons)?

[Q] Low Text Notifications!

Has anyone noticed text tones are VERY low? I tried the system standard ones, and also dowloaded a few from Zedge and also used tone picker...NO MATTER WHAT at full volume I can barley hear when I get a text unless I am right next to the device (it is extremley low). I have the system volume on Max also. Anyone else experiencing this? I need to be able to hear my phone when I get a text, what an incredible feature that would be!
Go into settings, then Sound and Dispay, then click on Ringer volume. There are different sliders there for ring volume and notification volume. If your notification volume there isn't at max, just slide it up to where you want it. Otherwise, I dunno why it's so quiet for you.

Yes, I know this is an old thread. But I have a similar problem but with a different setting. I'm running cognition 2.3b8 with Froyo.
My volumes are not as loud as how they were in Stock Eclair-but this isn't the problem. The may issue now is that notification volume tend to reset to low its low level as hard as I tried to increase it to max. This happens once I receive a message from my mobile service provider - like checking my credit balance and so.
Does anyone else have the same issue?

I have the same exact problem that USSD code resets the notification volume back to its low levels.
It seems an issue affecting many other galaxy users, searching for a solution got me no where.
It seems that this USSD sound volume issue is solved with some of the new modded ROMs. Now my phone doesn't produce a sound when I receive ussd feedback.
It is good in a way that a don't need sound notification for that & so system sound volume won't get needed up.
I tried perception, phoenix, serendipity, and now on firefly

Have you checked the settings to ensure you are a using ringtones that are on your device and also that it isn't set to silent in ringtones?
If that's all good, copy ringtones and notifications you wish to use to sdcard/media/ringtones.
Just tried all of that ... still nothing

Have you checked the CM forums to see if it's an issue with that rom? Try installing the latest nightly after a backup and see if that one works.
I just downgraded to RC 1 , and now it works...
I had a similar problem with one of the roms. I think there is a setting for Profiles, and sometimes the default profile has all the volume levels at 0. Everything works when checking, but actual use they revert to the profile. So you need to in in and set them to what you want.

This just happend to me... I am using Slimbeam rom...had to go into settings>profiles>...choose your profile and than at the bottom under applicatin groups>phone...choose no override for all...(stragne that if on it does not work)

[Q] Stock 4.1.2 XXLSZ - Too high volume

Hello,
I just updated my 4.0.4 to 4.1.2 today, via Samsung Kies. (Dumbass I am, I'm not rooted anymore. Waiting for a tool, or maybe i missed something ?)
All run fine, excepted that in-call volume is really really high, even at minimum. It looks like the 4.0.4 speaker ON. I'm unable to get the phone on my ear without pain. :crying:
How can I fix that ?
Tried *#*#197328640#*#*, but it doesn't work.
Thanks in advance.
Am I the only one to have this problem ? :crying:
nope.. vol is ok..
rooting option is till there by flashing Philz LM5 kernel from stock recovery.. may be then you will have apps to control it.. or may be install the rom again with wipes.
Problem solved.
I just tried a call with a friend near me (sound was very high, he was earing himself talking), then I put speaker ON (volume was a bit louder), and when I shutted it off, volume has become ok (unable to ear something if you have not your ear on the phone).
Can't explain that... I didn't tried to put speaker ON after 4.1.2 upgrade.
Maybe a calibration issue.
If it can help...
Otherwise, sorry for that topic.
Problem came back yesterday.
Volume does not come back at a good level when I shut on/off the speaker...
I'm near outburst of rage
Try re-flashing and let us know...
Same issue

I have exactly the same issue, not tried turning the speaker on and off yet, but unable to adjust the call volume. JB is good but this is a failure at a basic level. Cannot find call volume in the settings, only ringing volume.
**UPDATE**
I tried toggling the speaker on and off during a call, made no difference.

It worked only one time for me.
Tried something else which fixed it : when in call, press key volume up 2 or 3 times, then hit the parameter key that appears right to the volume bar. You are now in the vol parameter, showing all vol levels. Your in-call bar might be at mid : slide it to low. Get out with home key : you can now take your ear on the phone, the volume is now OK.
This tip worked for me with my last calls. Hope it will works for you too !

Cool, I will give it a go, thinking about it I the last call I had wasn't overly loud, so I may have done something to it, but next time I am in a call I will click the volume configure button and see what I can do.

I can control the volume now from the buttons and the onscreen control, although it will not go to the lowest notch. Any solutions?
Happens to me from time to time as well. What I do is I just increase the volume 1,2,3 click and then tune it down and it fix it.
But yes - there is such issue.

[Q] loudspeaker during calls is very quiet

hi,
a friend of mine owns a i9305 and i flashed it for him.
but with one problem that the loudspeaker during calls is very quiet which occurred immediately after changing the rom and so i exclude a defect of the loudspeaker.
first i flashed omni and the loudspeaker was very quiet. i thought that the problem is a rom problem.
and now i flashed carbon and the loudspeaker is also very quiet.
you hardly understand what is being said during calls if the loudspeaker is activated.
on stock rom it was much louder but now on two different custom roms its very quiet if the loudspeaker is activated.
all other sounds like ringtones or notifications are loud.
can anyone tell me what is the problem and what can i do about it?
big thanks in advance!

Try the usual pressing the "volume down" hardware button and see if the volume suddenly jumps up - adjust volume as desired after that.

we tried with the hardware buttons but without success.

Volume change tone gone in Marshmallow?

Previously, whenever you adjusted the volume, the phone would make a tone to tell you how loud that volume level was, i.e. increasingly louder tones if you were increasing the volume.
I've just noticed that when I change the volume bar, the phone is completely silent (and no, I'm not in Silent or Vibrate mode). Is this a new "feature" of 6.0 or something is wrong with my phone?

well, its not new, as it was in all 3 m releases. and now marshmallow is like that as well.
Thanks! I've never used any of the M Previews so it's good to know this is an expected behavior and not a bug with my device.
