Hello,
I've just installed Temasek KANG CM on my O2X along with the Vadonka powersave kernel and i noticed the the automatic display brightness setting is kinda dim all the time. I read that CM should alow you to adjust the automatic setting in CM settings -> Display, but i see no such options there.
Is this intended? And if so is there any workaround to this?
I'm using the same config as you, but i'd say auto brightness is good enough.
To manually change you have 2 options, either use Power Control Widget with Auto Brightness button (bad part - it only has 3 steps) or from settings : Settings -> Display -> Brightness (1st options in list) -> uncheck Auto Bright and use the slider.
when i checked my phone with phone tester it light sensor says "waiting for data".using the temasek kang with ironkrnl.does anybody else have the same situation??is it the problem with the rom or my hardware??i haven't checked it with stock rom....

I flashed some days ago the latest version of the Gueste2X ROM (v3.2), and it works great!
Btw, autobrightness it's not that good for me, I would like to edit the various level to fit it to my preferences; I read on Cyanogenmod's forums that in Menu-> Settings-> Cyanogenmod Settings-> Display there should be a config menu where you can edit these levels, but it's not present in my ROM.
Is it possible to edit the framework-res.apk to adjust levels as I want? I read something about it in this forum too, but I would like to know if someone of you did that yet.

Seems you are referring to the softkey button, which brightness it's ok for me; i was referring to the LCD backlight. Is it possible to change its brightness, even editing the framework apk?

I am not quite sure. But i think this is not possible on the o2x, coz of some driver issues
its possible, but not with the stock light sensor, but use the front camera light sensor its possible.
try the 'Lux Auto Brightness' app from the market.
Hey Vadonka, I've got Lux Auto Brightness installed on my Optimus 2X running CM7 (temasek-100) with your 3.x Kernel but I can't seem to get Lux to read any of my sensors right?
Maybe I'm using the wrong settings but I find Lux Auto-Brightness to be completely useless for this phone, it always reads "lux" as 20, or "luma" as 255?
Do you have it working properly on yours?

Hey fuss saw you rom. but iad been testing this rom for last three days. so i could not resist releasing it. Its built on sources and has few cherry picks from Root box.

Thanks for confirmation. I have no idea how I missed the setting. Found it 100% awesome now
Edit: Camera had dark image that I couldn't see when taking picture in dark area. Installed Google camera and it now takes good pics in the dark.

Force close on device orientation
While using only landscape orientation supporting apps or games and returning to home screen using back button results in force close and restart of system UI.

Back button worked normally...
But it can't kill app's
it's one of the problem of AOSB ROMs....

Battery life is great, I'm using the supplied kernel that came with the rom, The rom is great, not sure what else is needed, it's complete to me.
Yes battery life is great with supplied kernel...
You can also use Hell's Core kernel with it ,
for more battery life.... :thumbup:

To install this ROM you will need to have an unlocked boot loader and a custom Recovery such as TWRP or ClockWorkMod installed
1 Copy the downloaded AOSB to your phone.
2 update recovery, is required for install android kitkat
3 Boot into your recovery
4 Back up your ROM
5 Enter recovery
6 Make full wipe "included "system"

FAQ and Know issues:
when probam in black turn on , the systemui make force close
try to switch off black ui then restart and try enable it again
after dirty flash the device hangs and systemui make force close
you need to make wipe all and clean cache and make fresh install in this case
when try video recoding the device freeze or slow down
screen video record with ondemand or pegasusq governors u will have a laggy recorded video. If you try with performance governor from performance in settings , then the video will be a lot smoother.
Camera crashing some times and not works anymore "camera not connected"
the rom included an small application "camera restart" you can use it for fix this issue
titanium recovery not restore my applications
For those who cannot find their previous files, because CM based rom will target the sdcard storage to use root/0/ directory.
So normally all the files besides the root/0/ directory will not be shown on the file explorer.
To solve this, you will need a file browser that has ROOT capability, eg. Root Explorer
then go to mnt/shell/emulated/ all your file should be here.
Now move all the files into mnt/shell/emulated/0/ folder.
Should solve the problem.
Privacy guard IS working?
after enabling privacy guard in security settings
you have to switch to settings>apps and then choose to enable or disable each app individually.
I'm sure nobody would want to tick every single app, that would almost be the same as enabling airplane mode.

1 - report your bug in the forum of your device and see if other people having the same problem :crying:
2 - try to solve it with all the knowledge you can get :silly:
3 - if that doesn't work go to our support center and place your findings there, report your bug and which device you have , this way it goes straight to the developers
4 - only report a bug if your really sure it's not your own fould! --- clean install , stock kernel , no weird home manufacturing stuff ,etc,etc,

Well, for as a fast check, everything looks to be working good.
People, the DSP force close is a common bug in many ROMs. Just disable it @ Settings > Apps
(Pic says "Enable" cuz it is disabled)
Then, install Viper4Android (DSP on steroids),
reboot and Voilà!
Can't send MMS on G900T using stock messaging app. Always force closes
Fast rom! :good: but where is "camera restart" app?? Cant find it
