I am using cm9 with kernel castagnaIT. Once I have tried to download one DOC file from my mail. It is still showing downloading status. One month has been passed . I have tried to download the same file again. It downloaded but the status is same. Though I switch off mobile data the status is same. I have restarted the mobile. I have cleared the cache and dalvik cache. I have fixed the permissions. It is still in same condition. Does anybody have the same problem . Can anybody help me out from this problem. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
Thanks in advance..

Hey
I had a similar prob on my SGS I9000.The only thing i did was to disable the gmail / email app from app manager.
Reboot.Then Enable it.
Done
this should solve ur issue.
else only a FULL WIPE can do ur job.

I got a brand free Incredible S, received the update message a week ago and accidently declined it. Now when I check for updates I get "already up to date". My current android version is still shown as 2.2
Maybe try do a factory reset and then check for the update again.
Try clearing the data/cache from the settings app

Could you give me a little description how to do that?
I'm currently in school and can't check that for myself.
Okay, clearing the System App cache didnt work. Any other solutions? I don't want to do a factory reset, cba to install everything again..

If nothing works out, get 'MyBackup' from market ... it allows you to back up all data + APK s on ur phone, then do a factory reset and try to bring up the update ...
after which u can restore ur data / APK s ... ( u need to download 'MyBackup' again )
This is just a last resort workaround
Or I just cleared the cache wrong. I'm a completely Android Noob so someone could explain me how to do so?
No one?

I am pretty sure it is because of all the bugs the update had!
For example WiFi automatically disconnects when signal is less then -88dBm.
Font size is to big.
And more.

Settings>> Applications>> Manage applications >> 'All' tab >> Scroll to settings application >> *Click* >> Cleat Data / Cache

For everyone with the same Problem, the HTC support says that the notification comes back within 14 days.
My Settings app hadn't any cache data BTW.

I recently just flash a custom rom with my phone, and I think nothing is wrong, I'm able to download apps in the market by then, but I'm using 3G. This morning I installed a Wifi modem in my PC so I can use WIFI instead of 3g in my phone. But unfortunately I can't download anything from the market, even updates of existing apps. It just says 'app name' + Error cannot download bla bla bla. I just googled it and found out there are also others who encounter it but can't find any established solution.
Any ideas or tips would be really helpful. Thanks
EDIT: everythng is working in my connection, i can browse and even download to other sites, just the market
bump.. any ideas?
Clear the Cache of the market. Had the same problem after titanium backup restore. And install a new app after cache clean.

Yes I already clear the cache, you're right I think this happens after I restore using Titanium. What do you mean " install a new app after cache clean" because I still can't download any apps from market, still having the same error.
Last time i had to install a new app in the market but over 3g not wifi.

What kernel do you have and what version of rom do you have?
I will try to describe my problems with WiFi and Speedmod Kernel:
I have flashed xxjvt and after that i have tried to root the phone from CWM of Speedmod. I had 3 options to root and insatl busybox: simple, adv with some busybox comand remove and expert with most of busybox comands remove.
And the big surprize was because when i chose adv or expert 3G conection was perfectly fine but with WiFi no chance.
So maybe you have a problem with the implementation of busybox...maybe
Try an older market version if you can, the latest version is kinda buggy IMO...

Have you tried going to the market app and uninstall updates and clean data? I've had this problem and it was solved after this.
Go into recovery and wipe cache partition.

im guessing its the new market
Solution 1-Go to manage apps-Market-Uninstall updates and clear data
Solution 2-Needs Root
Flash old market as Zip in CWM
After flashing I always delete /system/app/marketupdater.apk
Finally hit my thanks, before i hit u! loll
Ever since I updated the play store can't update any apps. I get error 495. I first was on cm9.1 did a clean wipe and reinstalled cm9.1. I flashed a gb rom and it still does it. I created a new Google account still no luck restored old nandroids. Tried on 3g and wifi. I just don't know what else to try.

go to settings> application> uninstall updates of play store.. clear data. boot into recovery and wipe dalvik cache. reboot and try..
In another forum I read that you can solve the issue by removing the port and proxy from your APN settings.
Settings --> Wireless & Network --> More... --> Mobile Networks --> Access Point Names (APN)
Give it a try
I would have suggested it but op said he tried wifi as well so....
Oh sorry! Then I don't know
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried but nothing changed. Its really odd.

i got this problem b4, i just need to copy phonesky.apk from a rom n paste it in the system/app

i'm not sure this method will it works on CM u can give it a try…
I tried downloading and flashing a different version of gapps already. I'm sure that would have the same affect as a copy and paste

Hi,
my whatsapp says, that I'm using a tablet...is there any solution to solve this? Solving the problem with Titanium Backup isnt really a option for me, because first I would have to install a mod, where whatsapp is working..
greetings
Hey, uninstall the Version you use, go to recovery wipe chache and dalvik Cache, then load new one from the Market.
Had the same Problem few days ago. This should help you.

I am having a similar issue. I've installed and reinstalled WhatsApp several times on my HTC Explorer but it just shows the app start screen and then returns to the home screen on my phone. What should I do to make it work as it was working before I formatted my phone
