I am running the cm10 ROM and I get almost no light on my keypad or hard keys. Once in a while with no rhyme or reason they will turn on, but when I need or want them, of course they are not on, dark or light.
I am a bit of a battery hog and have a charger where ever I will be for more than 30 min at a time, so I would rather the lights were always on instead of always off. Anybody know how to toggle that?

This isnt the answer that I was looking for, but I had auto light off, and once i had it on, it works. I would rather control that, but... it works for me now with auto on.

Is anyone else having this issue as well I can get rid of it I've tried everything to what happens is sometimes when my phone is asleep tonight wake it up it's completely unresponsive, the screen turns on but I can't do anything other than hit the power button on and off and volume other than that I am stuck on the same screen. Also when I wake up in the morning after charging my phone overnight it is always frozen like this but even worse when it has been more than a few hours. Could this be related to using an alternative home? I have used both launcher pro and adw with the same results. I have never had this with any of my other android phones. Any ideas?

Take it to Verizon and get a switchout.
Before I do that I would like to make sure that it isn't software based otherwise I will just run into the same issue.

I haven't experienced that issue, but something similar. About once every 2 days my phone won't wake at all. The notification light seems to be working, but pressing the power/lock button doesn't wake the phone, screen stays black and I have to pull the battery. If I call the phone while it's in this state, nothing happens on the Bionic's side, but the phone I calling from hears 4 rings before going to voicemail. I've uninstalled Widget Locker and Home Switcher to see if either of them are the culprit.
awesome, thanks
I would do a factory rest and see if it was a software problem first.

Do you have in pocket detection on under settings? Try turning that off. I was having major issues like that when I was using that setting.

Good advice, the pocket sensor on this phone is borked.

How does it work, or how is it supposed to work?
I believe its based on the proximity/light senor. When it reads no light/close proximity for a few seconds, it'll shut off the screen.
My guess and I can be wrong, it works with the light sensor?

To the right of the ear mic, above the motorola sig, (where the activity light is) that's where the sensor is. So if you have pocket detection on, and the sensor gets covered up (by pocket, hand, or anything else that touches the phone in my opinion) then the phones screen turns off. Its a good idea, but I always
Accidentally cover it up, and it gets annoying.

So I didn't notice this until I went into a darker room, but the function buttons (menu, home, back, and search) stay dimly lit even when the phone screen is off. Is there some ICS setting I need to adjust? Any help would be appreciated.
I haven't seen or heard of anything like that (settings). So I would adventure to say you have a bad flash, or your using an app / mod that is causing it. Aside from that all I can think of is a phone going south.
GL!
Turns out it was a bad flash! Back to normal again

Happened to me once. Clear Cache fixed it.
Hi all
My Wifi stays on during sleep even though in settings I have this option set to never.
Anyone else experienced this? And is there a way to make the Wifi go of when n7 is in sleep mode?
Thanks
Chris

Could use a battery saving app and see if it kills wifi

Thanks I might look at that, it's not a big issue was more curious to see if any one else's acts the same way.

Have you actually given it time to turn off? Not sure if it is 5 or 10 minutes but for me it eventually turns off.
EDIT: I am set to "Only when plugged in"
Or there is a build prop tweak that suspends it in sleep like pm.sleep_mode=0 or close to that

The N7 wifi stays active for several minutes after the unit goes to sleep - even if you have it set to be only on when plugged-in or off when sleeping.
This is a really stupid design so I use my wifi widget to just turn it off before putting the unit to sleep.
There's most likely a setting somewhere to tweak to get the wifi to turn off immediately when the tablet sleeps.
Yes, the built in wifi off at screen off sometimes takes minutes and sometimes never turns it off.
Green Power, Tasker, Settings Profile, etc, all market apps will turn off wifi for you on screen off.
I use Tasker myself.
