bluetooth headphones - Galaxy Note II Accessories

Can any one recomend a reasonable set of bluetooth headphones ? Preferbly not to expensive mainly used for jogging/the gym
Thanks in advance

I own these:
http://www.cellxpo.com/SbCategory-a...t-HM3700.asp?gclid=CKT_6e7t5bMCFQWnnQody08AuA (cheap)
and
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-HM3700-Bluetooth-Wireless-Headset/dp/B0052XQFKE (better details)
be careful with the packaging as it contains a bonus dongle that lets you use your favorite earbuds with the samsung BT receiver, if you lose or dislike the samsung buds. I almost accidentally tossed mine out.
I prefer them for walking/exercising and the have a small clip to fasten to your collar etc. Audio quality FAR better than the motorola BT wraparound headphones I had.

Jaybird freedom.

+1 on Jaybirds. I've tried many Bluetooth headphones and these are by far the best in my opinion for working out/running.

I've one of these http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/products/accessories/mw600/ I can plug in any headphones I like then.
I can answer calls and control music with it.

I see these on sale at Radio Shack all the time. Don't think they are selling well. Last time I was in there I saw them for $30.

I own three pairs of these, because I like them so much:
http://www.rocketfishproducts.com/products/mobile-phones-gps/RF-MAB2.html
One set for my work phone, one set for my personal phone, and one set for my laptop (watching movies). As you know, switching pairing with bluetooth is not very easy, so I find it easier just to have as separate set per device.
They are behind the ear/head headphones, with bluetooth. They also have a mic, and can be used as a headset. They are nice, because they can be worn while wearing a helmet (cycling) and they hold on pretty tight, so they can be used while running.

I had those Rocketfish ones and they only lasted a year because of sweat. It's a known issue. I'll probably try the jaybirds.

I use a pair of Motorola S305. They run about $30 on amazon. Going on about three years with mine, still use for 6+ hours a day.

Hi thanks for all the replys. I've been looking at these for £40 on amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0046W2MKY/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
Are they the same plantronics ? I like the behind the ear feature less chance of them falling out when running

I have been using these for six months or so and I like them (LG tone):

I've tried countless BT headphones for running and these and br FAR the best.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2

I have heard good things about the Jaybird Freedom BT headphones. They probably don't satisfy "not too pricey" criteria though.
I have had both the Motorola S9 and S10 BT headsets and they worked perty good for a while, but after several month (4-6) they both had the buttons start to become non-responsive. The S9 got to where some of the buttons and functions would not work and eventually I couldn't get it to work at all. The S10 had had the volume start to randomly go up and get loud and I had to turn it down. Finally I turned it down and it sent too low and I could not get it to turn up again. Now I picked these off ebay for under $40, one was probably a referb the other was new in box.
Because my experience I'm a little hesitant to buy BT headsets for running (I live in Florida). I may eventually spring for he Jaybird freedom if I'm convinced they will hold up to sweat better than the S9 & S10 I had.
Bottom line for activities like running read reviews (look for long tern use reviews) and be willing to spend a little more to get something that will actually last and hold up to sweat. Buy once cry once.

I would suggest the Nokia BH 221.

I've been using LG Tone for about two weeks and this is my absolute favorite form factor for BT headphones now. I'm just sorry that the updated model (Tone+) which supposedly has much better sound quality thanks to Apt-X (which Note 2 supports) seems to suffer from range problems. Skipping BT audio is no fun.

Get the LG Tone+ HBS-730, search on amazon (I can't post links yet.). I have the first generation of the LG Tone HBS-700 the sound quality is alright if you aren't an audiophile. I've read that the sound quality is better in the 730s. The style of these make them perfect to wear under a collared shirt. I use them everyday and get about 3-5 days worth of listening between charges. The headset even vibrates when you get a call.
I have the Sony MW600. LINK. I love them. The majority of the time I only want to keep one ear bud in, and with these I can do that. You can also use any kind of headphones with them.
I had the Plantronics BB903+'s. I thought their sound quality was really good, and I was all excited to use them with my phone when I go mountain biking. I got so insanely frustrated with the sound cutting out every now and then that I stopped using them. A day later, my dog ate them. Eh, whatever. :good:
As I read around through reviews of other comparable bluetooth headsets I can't help but to question that perhaps audio skipping is somewhat common. As a result, I've personally chosen to stick to traditional headphones. That being said, I'm super curious if anybody has experience with bluetooth headphones that DON'T cut out at all. Eh?
i love my jaybird freedoms. the only thing that is even remotely annoying about them is they charge with a mini usb, other than that, they're light, have great sound and super comfortable. before that i tried a pair of moto ones that were just an all 'round unpleasant experience.
Thanks for suggestions guys, will mull it over

I have both of those units. The trade off is; HBS-700 ok sound, but long BT range (25ft) vs. HBS-730 better sound, but short BT range (10ft).
Sony Ericsson MW600 user here as well. I love that lil sucker. I use my Shure SE215's (clear) and any headsets I can muster like my Sol Republic Amps HD or Sol Republic Ultra's or whatever you have and like. I mean the sound is not like it is when plugged directly in, but sound better than stock nonetheless.

I have the sony wireless headset pro, the new one. It is really good, it has wolfson audio for the decoder and even takes a micro sd card. It is easily the best bluetooth headphones I have tried sound quality wise.

I was looking at those but they were a bit out of my price range
I got my MM 100's in today, and I'm impressed. Very clear audio for something this size, as expected from Sennheiser. They feel a bit cheap but I think that's more in the interest of making them light rather than saving money. I don't think they're worth the retail price ($150 ), but I got mine factory refurbished from a seller on amazon for around $40 and they came looking brand new, in refurb packaging of course.
Since I paired these with my phone first I tried call quality, and nobody had any issues understanding me.
EDIT: After some more listening it seems these headphones are lacking in bass... not that there isn't enough volume, but it is literally cutting out frequencies.
I hava nokia bh214 stereo bluetooth ,it's perfect for music & talk
I use the Sony Ericsson MW600, great batterytime, you can use whatever headphones you want and now it's almost for free.
Bought the Sony WS1, little on the expensive side but have alot of functions, same as the MW600 you can use other headphones but the ones that comes with are exellent, SD-slot only drawback is the batterytime...
I use a set of Motorola SF600's and a Plantronics M155 (for single ear A2DP goodness while hiking).
My thoughts on the SF600 are far different than moth peoples, apparently. I love them. I have had zero issues with them, and I am tough on them. They sound PHENOMENAL and the range is incredible. They also support Apt-X, but since the Nexus 7 doesn't, that isn't really a concern. Apt-X is awesome though.
The Plantronics is... OK. It rattles at high volume, and is generally annoying, but its great for the group hikes I go on (for when I am tired of hearing people whine and blabber on ) and it is really good for listening to music in the office.

The reviews that I read about the 730's were that they were a downgrade. Owners of the 700 and the 730 said to not get the 730.
They also said that more than 5' away or loss of line of sight caused the 730s to drop out.

What earbuds/headphones fully function with Note 2?

I know I will get Newb flamed for this, but I searched for hours as per video and didn't find an answer that really helped. I am getting ready to drop my Iphone 4 and pick up the new Note 2 through ATT but I know that it does not come with headphones. I researched pretty much every headphone/earbud thread on here and found a few ideas, but when I went to the manufactures websites, some claimed that their earbuds were not fully functional with the Note 2. So my question is, what earbuds/headphones are fully functional with the Note 2? I mean they Have volume control, answer calls, FF, RW, Pause, and skip. Any help is appreciated so I can get my earbuds the same day as the phone.
Thanks and be kind.

You can use any one-button headset with "Headset Button Controller". My choice - Philips SHE 8005/00.
I would guess the Galaxy S3 stock headset would work just fine with it.
3 days of looking up different headphones and i am finding out some of the websites flat out suck as far as help goes. I am just wanting something that I guess would be considered plug and play with no need to download an app. I like the phillips SHE8005 recommendation, but you have to get the app to make them fully functional and then I read not all features work with the Note 2. I just want to get some feedback from someone who is actually using a fully functional head-set. I am planning on getting the phone in the next few days and want to have the headset when I get it. I keep seeing JBuds on Amazon, but I dont know if they will work.
Thanks again for the input.
I use a pair of Bluetooth headphones. Motorola S305, about $30 on amazon. They last a full day on a charge, going about three years now. They have the volume, skip, play/pause controls. And, never any cords to get tangled.

I have since up graded from my HTC urbeats to these Beats by Dre Wireless. The can be run wireless or with a wire. Sound quality is good from both music and phone conversation. All buttons function. 10 hr play time 100 hr stand by. Rechargeable and im not sure but I think if the battery dies you still can run them with a cable dont quote me on that but the rest is a sure bet.

I have heard that as well, I have also heard the opposite. I know that there are several tiers of Beats that range from
Ibuds/urbuds thay are smart phone compatible( many styles and designs)
Solo
Mixr
Studio
Executive
Pro
And probably many more I cannot think of.
I have the wireless ones and I can say for sure that they are not the best sounding but they do offer a few perks that the others do not such as all the control functions on the head phones so you never have to retrieve you phone/music player from your pocket or bag. They are rechargeable and the savings in good quality batteries will pay for them rather quickly.
They are not the best but are good, and lets be honest, we cant afford the best.... lol

How are the headphones you might be willing to part with? I am not even sure what brand or model earbuds the note 2 comes with from other providers. I seem to be leaning towards a blue tooth set lately. The LG ones sound promising.

What headphones to get.

Sty I'm going to spend a gold chin on a pair of headphones.
My first though was to get sennheiser HD 650 but I read around and it seems they need an amplifier to be able to make good sound. I then looked at b&w p5 but there are so many mixed reviews of it.
Any recommendations on "audiophile" headphones in the same price range as the two mentioned above?

What are you looking for in headphones? Do you want them to be mellow like the hd650? Or do you want something even more bassy? Something that puts emphasis on the treble? Neutrality? Emphasis on both bass and treble? Would you rather them be open like the hd650 or closed?
Anyways, one suggestion I can put up is the he400, but if you can find out what you are looking for, I can give you other suggestions... The he400's performance can be improved with an amp and dac, but it still can sound good without these.

I want the sound to be as close as possible to the original sound (the way the studio equalized the songs to be).

They come with 3 sets of ear tips to fit any ear. BTW
Just check out the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 it's available in multiple colors. I like the White-on-White combination if you have a white Note 2.
The good: The Audio-Technica ATH-M50 Professional Studio Monitor Headphones offer excellent build quality and very detailed, balanced sound with tight bass. They're also very comfortable and are a relative bargain.
The bad: There's no integrated microphone for making cell phone calls; the bulkier design makes them less suitable for mobile use; and the headphone cord isn't detachable.
The bottom line: The Audio-Technica ATH-M50 Professional Studio Monitor Headphones are among the best available for less than $200, offering excellent sound and build quality.

Hmm, well there's the K701/702/Q701 family with their analytical sound signature or the DT880. But, since you don't want to get an amp, it's going to be tough to find something in that price range. The he400 seems like your best bet, however it's more of a fun sounding headphone.
Perhaps, the MS2 or ad900? If you still want to go with sennheisers, you may want to get the hd600 instead, the hd650 have been tuned to have more emphasis in the lower frequencies and are less neutral.
You could also very well think the headphones you chose will sound fine without an amp...

I personally do not think its worth it unless you are really serious about listening to music on your phone. I just take what my phone gives me and save the actual listening for when I'm connected into my setup. The Note 2 does the job with my Sennheiser 558s. I wouldn't want to add extra bulk and things to carry around for better audio out of my phone while walking around.

I'm looking for some BT earbuds, better than average quality primarily for music to replace the Jabra 620s I have now. I'd like to keep the cost <$50.
I've seen a few suggestions here, but reviews on Amazon haven't been all that stellar. Any recommendations?

I have a LG HBS-730 ... I think it is the best of the $50 units. I picked mine up off of Amazon. The predecessor to this unit was the HBS-700, check out its ratings on Amazon ... it is very popular. Some people had a few difficulties with the 730 when it was released and this is reflected in some of the reviews. I am not having any problems on the Nexus 10 or my Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

+1 from me! Very comfortable, great sound. Probably not for joggers though.

Any idea how it would work with a ski helmet? Does it block sound?
I've used the LG HBS-700 set for about a year. Love them, but had to send it in for repair after 4 months when the battery wouldn't hold a charge. Got them back and it's been good since.
Lg hbs 730
If you buy the the LG's be sure to hit up newegg and check the reviews on the HBS 730...I have both the 700 and the 730, 730 sounds better but has really awful reception compared to the 700. The reviews will confirm this.

I actually have the HBS-700's, not the 730's. I am not a skier, but if regular earbuds fit under a ski helmet, these should too. You would want to keep the part that you wear on your neck under a jacket or something so they don't fly off.
Just buy a bluetooth dongle/adapter and you can use any headphone

He's asking for a BT headphone recommendation. Don't you think he already has a dongle/adapter?

No or I wouldn't have suggested. Go back over to the useless micro usb storage thread

Phaiton PS 210 BTNC
After much research I got a pair of Phaiton noise-cancelling ear buds PS 210 BTNC active noise cancelling ear buds. They're pricey, but actually well worth it.
I might have unusually shaped ears, but ear buds are all too often torture for me. These are so comfortable that I can even fall blissfully asleep listening to music.
The sound quality is wonderful and the noise-cancellation is great on airplanes, in server farms, working w/ power tools, etc. Check it out!

Why should I do that? I actually addressed the OP's request. What have you contributed?

Something like this and you can use whatever headphone/earphone you already have. And if the battery ever runs out on the unit you can plug in your headphone straight into the phone.... Unlike bluetooth only headsets

There are cheaper and more expensive units. Sony, samsung and Habra has something similar. There is a black version for 20. Just look at amazon and look around for a bit. Good thing also is that you can hook a 3.5mm aux cable and connect it to speakers, car stereos, receivers and a lot more. A lot more versatile than bluetooth only headsets but i like a lot of functionality for devices and accessories. But you can pay more and have less options but hey you'll have "cool" bluetooth only headphones if you like.

Decent wirelss headphones?

Im looking for wireless headphones. Decent sound and not too exspensive. I know about brandname headsphone but I just need for outdoor work. Any recommendations?

I'm not sure what level of sound quality you're looking for, but a refurbished pair of Motorola S10HDs will pop up on woot.com every couple of weeks for 25$. I picked a pair up, and they're not the best sounding headphones in the world, but they work very well.

You should get something from jaybirdgear. Their headphones are sweat proof they have earbud versions as well. Personally I have a pair of the sportsband 2 and the Blue Buds X. The Blue Buds are realy expensive the Sportsband is only like $100
They both sound very good but blue buds have some of the crispest sound I've ever heard.
I second the bluebud X's. For the price they are expensive but I barely use my soul sl99's or other headphones anymore.

I have gone through Samsung Bluetooth headphones, LG Bluetooth headphones and jaybirds as well and the best and most comfortable were the lg. they are sweat proof...I sweat like crazy when I workout. try them out. good battery life and easiest to run with by just putting the neck piece iinside your shirt collar
I picked up some very minimal cheap wireless bluetooth earbuds on amazon fkr $25 shipped. They don't sound the greatest and have about 2 hrs of life listening to music and recharge quicker. Check them out.

I use Jaybird Bluebuds X for the gym but they aren't even close to being inexpensive so I'd recommend the LG HBS-730 that I use for work.
They can be found pretty cheap, they are very comfortable for all day use and they have awesome battery life.

I second that, I have the lg 700 and the blue bud x .. They sound the same, and same battery life. . The blue buds are just more comfortable for me as I wear them all day long at work around heavy machinery

Hmm, reading Amazon comments about LG 700 vs 730. People are saying 730 will have better sound quality and other fancier controls, BUT they keep cutting out and loosing connection in comparison to 700? I can't figure out if that's in case of people just leaving their phone 10ft away or when you have your phone in the pocket and/or desk next to you and connection breaking up? Can anybody comment on that?

That hasn't been my experience at all. Great range for me. When I used them at the gym I'd frequently walk away from my phone and the sound wouldn't break up until I was halfway across the gym floor (which is a substantial distance)

yeah I have the 700 black and orange... when I'm about 15 feet away it cuts out then auto reconnects perfectly to my note 2 when I return

go and search on eBay or Amazon, there must have many different kinds of suitable products to choose, and also cheap & good ones.

I have 730's and love them... 10 hours playback time.... they last long than my phone! (with an extended battery lol)
I tried jaybirds and had issues with skipping. Got another pair of Rocketfish at Best Buy. Not the greatest design or sound quality but work good for me.

Can you use the lg tone 730's with google navigation and hear the directions?
If you are listening to music and the navigation speaks will the lg tone 730's pass on the navigation info or just continue the music?
I just bought some Henson Audio BT033 (I think that is the model) and am very impressed with them.
Not earbuds, great bass and tone. Strong volume and they fold away. They have AVRCP controls on them that work fine. They charge via micro usb and have a 3.5mm Jack connection if you don't want to use Bluetooth.
Finally, great for calls with the built in Mic.
Recommended!
