I had the Zagg HD on my phone for the last 4 days and at first I was quite happy with it. The fit was outstanding...it went right to the edge and had no peeling. The feel was slightly tacky, but it was clear and offered protection so I was happy. Over the last day or so I started noticing lines or imprints in the protector from the s pen. I'm highly impatient and I had the xtremeguard sitting on standby, so off with the zagg and on with the $3 xtremeguard.
I used the hot shower/spray bottle install method and the xtremeguard went on perfectly (as did the zagg)...no bubbles, no dust whatsoever. The fit is every bit as good as the Zagg...screen coverage could not be any better. The xtremeguard is smoother than the zagg, but still a little tacky. I expect that will get better over the next couple days as did the zagg. I have had the xtremeguard on the back if my phone for a week and tested the s pen on that to see if it left any marks like it did on the zagg, and it did not...that's why I went ahead and chose to put it on the screen too. It does not have a cutout for the sensors at the top of the phone, but it doesn't appear to effect anything, so that's better as far as I'm concerned. Screen clarity is every bit if not a little better with the xg over the zagg.
Overall, I would say if you are patient then save $23 and get the front AND back from xg for $3.99 including shipping instead of just front from zagg for $25 from best buy. Great product, great price! I just ordered another set for backup just in case.

The Zagg, both regular, and HD, both show where the S-Pen has been used. I would honestly rate it at Complete Garbage for use with the Note 2. Most, if not all, wet application screen protectors fit this description.
SGP Ultra Crystal = complete opposite.
My recommendation is always: a case (even the thin ones, especially if you're considering these skins, you aren't looking for drop protection) + a screen protector. Those cheap ones from eBay are VERY good! I get 6 of them for a dollar shipped, (maybe a little more?), and if they EVER get scratched I change it out for another, and if I install it incorrectly, toss it away and whip out a new one! They're uber smooth and cheap cheap cheap! I HATE wet installations on my phone. 700 dollar phone + water + soap? No thanks! Regardless of how much you use. I've used Zagg a million times way before when it was Invisible Shield and it was always the same problems:
peeling off after a few days on the sides (the part that I really needed protecting because that's the part that scrapes against my jeans coming in and going out), with the Note 1 I had it also and it almost broke the tip of my spen ... sucks.
I love cases, because I feel like I'm dressing up my phone. And I love the screen, give it some good protection with 99 cent 6 packs of screen protectors! No fuss. No issues. No reason not to use them .
Xtreme guard doesn't protect the chrome bit does it. Still good price though. Thanks, definitely give it a go.
Where did you find it from? Only see on eBay. Thanks!

No it does not protect the plastic. And yes, eBay is the best place to purchase. Still holding up very well after day one...very impressed for the price.

I had xtremguard on my Ipad for over a year now, still looks good. That's why I decided to go with them again for my Note 2. I just installed it on my Note 2 today. Fitment looks good. I don't know about marks from the S pen. I bought them on Ebay for $4 then got another set during Cyber Monday for $2.
Damn! How hard are you guys pushing when you use the pen? I have had the HD screen protector on my phone for the past week, and have no lines whatsoever.

Xtremeguard is better quality than zagg hd. I got 2 screen protectors and full body protector from xtremeguard for $3.50. I would have paid $25+ for a zagg hd screen protector only. Not to mention that zagg products turn yellow after days of use. This happened and it was very noticeable on my white Galaxy S3.

Yea, I ended up taking my Zagg back to Best Buy today and getting my money back. It wasn't easy, but after talking with the store manager, they decided it was the right thing to do.

I think it's important to have good customer services. A happy client is a revolver. Especially nowadays when you can buy the products from almost anywhere, offering something that differentiates your company from others is key to get revolvers. Amazon Spain is fantastic. I buy almost everything I can from them because they have excellent customer service and return policies. Not to mention it's sometimes cheaper than anywhere else online!

What is the best glass screen protector available right now for the note 4? I wish the spigen gLass nano.slim was available....
spigen gLass nano.slim for sure, however, being in the same boat as most of yall waiting for it to become available I just ordered the iSmooth one as I've used them before and it's pretty good quality compared to the cheapo's out there.
Just to get me by...oh well...
This is what I have; I like tech armor because of their lifetime warranty. I have not used a glass screen protector before but put one of these on my wife's iphone and it seems great...

Iloome screen protectors have good reviews. Mine should be here in a few days

Ever since when there is Gorilla glass, I never use screen protector anymore.
Why do people need it now?
Sometimes I forget I have my keys, or loose change in my pocket. Don't want t o scratch the screen.

The question is:
Which glass screen protector will have the greatest coverage (closest to the edges) as most, if not all, glass protectors are cut short stopping right before the curves near the edges.
This may be a problem.....having second thoughts about glass screen protectors now...
I think the iloom e might have full coverage. They bragged about being the first to do it on iPhone 6 and that also has the 2.5D glass as well.
i grabbed this one, and it shipped really fast; not sure how it will work, but its full coverage, and under 9 bucks!

I don't use screen protectors either. But ever since I saw a few people here at work with glass screen protectors on their new iphones I've been looking around and they seem pretty awesome. I've seen a few videos on youtube where they smash the screen with a hammer and only the protector broke with the screen left intact.. Also the anti-fingerprint coating is a plus. The cases I buy always have to have a lip but the screen protector is just in case.
This UAG case I have on my note 2 has saved my phone so so many times from being dropped 5ft in the air flat on its face.
The tech armor doesn't come close to covering the whole screen..piss
I have always been partial to invisisheilds. The extreme versions is what I've used on my pass galaxy devices. Then I moved to the glass version of their product on my note 3. It was perfectly clear had a life time warranty. I am looking forward to using the same for my note 4.
I bought the Envelop one. Thing isn't even big enough, just ordered a Spigen one.
I bought two Spigens based on reputation and price: $3.49 each (plus $5.00 shipping) at the early morning (ET) Amazon flash sale. If I had to pay full price, I'd also consider a non-glass solution, Rhino Shield.
Darn, I bought the tech armor glass last week. I guess it'll have to hold me over until better ones come out. I bought it direct from Techarmor.com and used promo code TechArmor2962 for 30% off. Came out to be $9. I bought the Spigen one for the iPhone 6 and it didn't cover the entire front either.
I am still debating on whether to buy screen protectors either glass or not as I haven't used screen protectors in years and everything I have/had was/is fine...
but seeing how the note 4 would be the most expensive mobile/handheld device I've bought and come to think of it probably the most expensive thing I have every bought in my life I might wanna protect it from here and back XD

Rhino Shield's website has a variety of videos persuasively showing the need for some kind of screen protection. As between their product and a good glass screen protector, there seem to be both pluses and minuses, so long as one is willing to accept the fact that, in an acute situation, the glass screen protector will be destroyed.
Any of the glass protectors available leave the space between the home button and the bottom of the phone exposed? I don't think I want a glass protector that encircles the home button because that would mean trouble for the fingerprint scanner as far as I can tell - a sticker for the home button would surely interfere with it.
Thanks!

For what it's worth, I have the Mime Ghost glass protector and it encircles the home button. It doesn't effect the finger print scanner at all. It works great.
With that being said, I can't recommend the Mime. Like other glass protectors thus far the sides are no where close to staying flush against the screen.

I was in the process of purchasing the Tech Armor and for the life of me cannot find where to apply the discount code.
UPDATE: Per email response, no discount codes active at the moment.
Hi everyone,
i'm looking to buy a screen protector for my S6 EDGE. I've been looking around and can't decided which one to buy. I saw Skinomi having good reviews but also a lot of bad reviews claming the application liquid damaged their phone.
I've also looked at tempered glass options but it seems the ones available now have bad reviews.
What's most important to me is to get a good protector that doesn't give the orange peel effect and that will not affect screen quality like rainbow effect, loss of sharpness etc...
But im wondering since this is Gorill glass 4, does it really need a protector? Some people claim they had GG3 phones without protectors for years and have no scratches but then ive read pple who got their S6 scratched in less than a week.

Yes. S6 display will eventually scratched. If you look very very near (hair scratches) at the right angle. One hit of my headphone's metal part did the trick.
Those Gorilla glasses are scratch resistant, NOT SCRATCH PROOF.
And please use the search function.
The best...
How about amazon. I like buy SCREEN PROTECTOR from amazon.
I went to best buy and grabbed Zagg

Yup, the Zagg HD Clear from Best Buy is the best out now.
I've had the zagg...but I got the 'ultimate sheild' full body for 8.99gbp and it's my favourite so far
Hey guys, Rhino shield are releasing their bumper soon and I was wondering if I should buy it, the problem is
that they do not provide a back protector because of the curved back nature of the note 5.
They said I should get another back protector but I haven't found any exept xtremeguard which are quite
cheap but have very few reviews about.
What is your opinion about them for the note 5? do you know other companies which make back protectors for the note?
Thanks!
Reread the Rhino site. The back protector is provided. Also, XtremeGuard is awful. Never had a good experience in about 10 orders. I gave up on them last year, finally.

I talked to them through mail and facebook, it was a mistake on their part, they cannot make a glass protector
for the back of the note 5.
Thanks for telling me about xtreme

It looks like the protectors aren't glass, but flexible plastic. If you watch the S6 videos, the protectors peel right off.
I agree that XtremeGuard is garbage. I've gotten a few orders from them over the years when they run their 91% off sale, which is often lol. And they aren't even worth it even with the huge discount.
They come loose in a normal envelope and the quality is extremely poor. The cutouts look like they were done by elementary school students with scissors. And the overall quality of the material isn't good.
That's just my experience, but I wouldn't recommend them.
Thanks for the replies guys, do you know by any chance a good back protector for the note 5?
They are terrible...

Xtremeguard is only good if you have kids; I order their screen protectors for the kids tablets, when they at %91 off sale, which allowed me to order a couple extra per tablet for the price of 1 on Amazon or from other Manufacturers. I ordered 6 screen protectors total ( 3 were the correct ones, 2 were for ipad when I ordered for kindle fires, 1 was damaged.)
I've ordered from them in the past, they often send the wrong screen protector, so I learned on the most recent order (for the kids tablets) to order extra so at least I get 1 that is correct.
And I took a chance on the Note 5 screen protector (ordered with the other 6 for tablets) but it was garbage, made of a rubber textured plastic... which would not allow the Note 5 S-pen to slide across the screen.
Its been cumbersome finding a screen protector for the Note 5 that actual covers the display (NO I am not including the bezel as part of the display, I mean the part that actual produces imagery) I've ordered from 4 different manufactures, ranging from Glass to (normal) Standard screen protectors, and they are all short of covering the display by 2-3mm (On a white Note 5 this is noticeable.)
After trying the Zagg HD and the xtremeguard I was very frustrated that neither stuck completely to the edges of the screen.
I tried the Spigen based on a forum recommendation and I'm finally happy:

Is anyone here using a cheap tempered glass protector and is satisfied with it? By that I mean perfect seal on the sides and no dust has gotten inside the screen area. By cheap I obviously mean side adhesive protectors since I have yet to see a generic version of the Whitestone.
I'm asking because they're not all the same. I bought one for my S8+ and it fully adhered to the sides of the screen. No dust ever got into the screen area.
I bought a 4-pack from a different seller on ebay and I would get dust inside within a day so obviously some use better adhesive than others.
I need to pick up something from Amazon or Ebay quickly. I'm using the Ringke Invisible Defender (garbage) and there's too much friction when scrolling or when using the s-pen.
It's like making love to tree bark.
I'm on my third and they all suck so far. I even purchased a 25 dollar one due to great reviews. It fit great but no glue on the screen so there was a HUGE loss of sensitivity and a lot of "clicking". I just bit the bullet and bought the Whitestone Dome Glass.
I'm on my second one so far and still not happy. I tried one from Poetic and totally sucked. Sucked so bad they e-mailed me lol and said they were sending out replacements.
I'm using one now that's better than the first one but still not happy. This one's by Wellci. It's not great but it's cheap and works pretty good.
Galaxy Note 8 Screen Protector, Wellci 3D Curved Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (Ultra Clear) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0751FFHMF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_YVZTzbQS3H9G1
I said pretty good.... Not great.
ive tried several, they all peel up on the corners...idk what to do
Weren't they able to pull these off for the 7? Kind of concerned, I bought a wet apply which I haven't opened yet. Seems like the dark ages.

I have high hopes for the IQ shield wet apply as I had a good experience with the S8+ version. Hopefully they have a matte version.
The Spigen wet apply isn't very good.
But all of these wet apply ones are going to be terrible given the use of the s-pen.
I bought a cheap tempered glass screen protector from eBay hoping it would be ok.
This thread does not inspire hope.
Once my phone arrives, I'll apply the screen protector and report back.
I may be quite angry.
The ONLY one worth a $hit is the whitestone dome glass. All the others are trash plain and simple. I had it on my S8+ and it was perfect and I expect the same out of the note 8 version. I am waiting for mine to come in actually. Should be here by next monday I believe.
Simply use loca octopus glue and a uv light on any of those options. Whitestone replica
