Picked up PS3 Controller UPDATE: SPIDER PODIUM STAND!!! - Galaxy Note II Accessories

Local Gamestop in Van Nuys was selling a Gold PS3 controller for 40 dollars and 43 after tax. Picked it up as I was trying to get a controller for my Note. Works great, so far tested it out on emulators with wireless and no issues whatsoever. It even works with games like Shadowgun Dead Zone natively. Get an app called six axis from the market to enable it to play all the other games.
I'd call and check before heading out though just to be sure.
GameKlip So yeah, im thinking about buying this. I emailed the guy to see if they're making one for the note 2

Heres a great thread on using SixAxis app for the GS3, [shares same resolution so the profiles will work]

k guys i was doing some research and found out about the Spider podium stands. They are $5 and is cheaper than gameklip which is around 15. Plus with the spider, i can form it to use it in my car etc.
Heres a video of spider podium + ps3 controller

Spider Podium, currently sold out. The genuine one is 20 bucks but I think even that is a better option than gameklip [if they even make it for the note 2] as I can mold it to any shape I want.

Vangoddy Case - wrist support cases?

Hey guys,
I like to watch a bit of tv/video in bed on my Nexus 7, but have found it quite uncomfortable on the wrists after a while, especially if I am (as I like to do), laying on my side. So I have been looking for a case/cover which might provide a little relief to the wrist. To be honest I've not found much. Perhaps you guys can point me in the right direct for alternative solutions. The only thing I've so far found is a "Vangoddy Cases" available on Amazon here.
Anyway, for those of you who have had similar thoughts/have problems with arthritis etc I thought I'd flag this product up. Anyone find anything else please do let me know by replying to this post.
I know the youtube vid is not for the Nexus but you get the idea!
Cheers.

This is what I ordered for mine. My old 8.9 Galaxy Tab case was like this, except this one has a hand strap which I wish I had with my old case.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008L0U8F8
Yes I have the hard case (Harlin) , since I traveling on a crowded metro to and from work. There's a pouch for usb cases.
PS this "Logitech" bluetooth keyboard for Android 3+ works
all special keys work {calendar, mail, Google music app, volume}, but
the browser does not { need to investigate}.
I love my Nexus 7 - stock and all.

I just tried a Belkin case that used those corner straps and it covered up the power button.

The GameKlip - PS3 Controller Accessory

Hello people!
I've just stumbled upon that..

The Klip is really simple and does the job better than any other similar products. Combined with the Tegra Zone games that have native controller support, this can actually turn your device in a real Vita competitor
According to the inventor (couldn't find a better word ) it's still work in progress, but I have high hopes that it will be released sooner rather than later!
I've ordered one for my Galaxy S3 and I'm looking forward to ordering one for my Nexus 7.
What are your thoughts about it?
http://thegameklip.com
It's definitely a cool idea; I would rather just prop up the n7 with a case or something though.
That's actually the Galaxy Tab 7.0.....but he's making one for the Nexus 7, he's working on a prototype now

Holy crap that's going to lead to a lot of broken monitors.

Tiny keyboard (external)

I just bought a Rii Handheld keyboard (RII-518), and I am very happy with it.
It looks like this:

only smaller than you think, and it was only 35 dollars from this site: http://dx.com/p/mini-handheld-rechargeable-bluetooth-wireless-keyboard-93118
It pairs beautifully, and the only think I don't like about it is that it doesn't work right away when you turn it on. You sort of have to push a few buttons, and then change apps - but then it works fine. I usually just turn it on when I start using it, and then don't turn it off until I put the tablet away for the night.
Anyway, try it if you think it's for you.
Tempted to buy this. One of those items I would really like to test drive before I commit though. I have would be using it for note taking in class probably. Thoughts?
Looks nice n compact..
I've got one of the diNovo mini's.
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-920-000594-diNovo-Mini-Keyboard/dp/B0011FOOI2
Works well, and you have mouse control as well with the trackpad on the right.
I got this one and really like it
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004T0QLLO/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i01
Both of those are rechargeable? And have you tried to do any extensive note taking?
Seems way over priced, have seen similar ones for 10$ shipped on ebay, Chinese ones
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Build quality on the cheap Chinese ones can be very poor though, waste of $10 if you get it and the keys don't work properly.
Well, I won't say the Rii's quality is comparable to an old IBM Model M keyboard, but it certainly works! Well worth the money IMO.

Netflix overload on 12/24/2012?

Netflix quit working on all my devices! Was working earlier today. Too many people using it right now? :^)

Don't they (Netflix) do any kind of capacity planning? Weren't their servers tested under load? Geez!
Kids want to watch Christmas movies today because it's raining in So Cal, and they can't go out.
I'm glad I have some DVDs lying around.

They blame Amazon AWS: http://www.engadget.com/2012/12/24/netflix-outage/
Mod edit: No
Carry on people.
Interesting how the faulty Amazon Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) component of AWS in Ashburn, Virginia only affected Netflix, and not Netflix's major rival Amazon Instant Video service (formerly known as Video On Demand) also hosted on AWS in VA, huh?
Hmm...
And was any other Amazon.com service adversely affected?
Hmm...
The end of the world...... for Netflix?

Does anyone uses a docking stand for your phone?

Just received this as a gift:

Its a retro looking stand that you can lay your phone on top. It also doubles as an USB hub, but I haven't tried it out yet.
Any one using a similar docking stand/retro stand? Post some pictures.
My grandma has one of those.. But it doesn't have that big screen on the right side. :silly: haha
For reference it looks like this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BF8NM6A/ref=redir_mdp_mobile
4 USB ports!
I don't have it, but I used a friends cheaper ebay one last summer with his iPhone and it felt like talking on a normal landline. If it had wireless connectivity, I'd get one.. Especially because talking with the Note II for over an hour can be taxing. (or I'm just weak)
It's an interesting idea but looks like a cheap implementation.

I agree, if this is wireless it would be a good accessoy to have. The wired handset feels a bit strange.
LOL, the 2nd reviewer says : funny item to try out
