Try adding a gps.conf and put your location code.
Check out the threads in the development section.

In this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881941 there is a nice GPS fix for samsung captivate. Do the captivate have the same chip for GPS than I9000? Can we flash that update to our i9000?
It would be very nice!
If the fix seems to not improve your phone's gps, here is an update.zip that restore the original settings (JPY)
Wrong section.
Anyways, it did help me with my gps. I've been using it since Christmas.
I'm using the google version.

Anyone with jpy firmware can post his /data/gps/secgps.conf so I can make an update.zip to restore the original settings?
jpy already has most of those changes integrated.. ie it can use more than 8 satellites and ones under 20 signal which is basically what that fix did.. here is original file.
but i have changed mine to cold start mode.. i still get fixes in under 10 secs.
In the first post there is an update.zip which restore the original settings

Why start a new thread on this when it is already mentioned in the CM7 thread? Try searching before posting.. then you would have noticed that others too have the same problem.. Thread closed..
Sent from somewhere outta space using my phone..
Also...
THIS IS A QUESTION SO SHOULD NOT BE IN THE DEVELOPMENT FORUMS!
Sorry I wanted to post it in general...but I made a mistake....

To be honest you are better off posting about it on the cyanogenmod forums

Patience!
This is not a known issue with ICS. You could try wiping caches and reflashing, but if that doesn't work I would flash back to stock, and start again from scratch.
It would help posting on the ICS Q&A for that specific Rom, like Onecosmic's or Team Hacksung. More info would ALSO be a must since we can't channel the power of madam Cleo and know what exactly you are using. I would suggest closing this and asking int he correct thread with more info.
Hello everyone,
I have a major issue whit my phone. After official update the phone freezes and I have to remove the battery. After I put the battery back, the device does not start. I have to wait a while to put back the battery and try to start it all over again. Tried to fix the issue with custom roms but the proplem still persists.
Please help and thanks in advance
I'm guessing that the only way to solve your problem is nvflashing a rom. Look at the sticked posts at dev section, there should be a all in one tool that I think is capable to do it easily for you.

Its not helping. After reflash the phone does not start at all. Can it be a hardware malfunction??
Hi all members, i think i'm not the only one facing that wifi problem on cm10 & 10.1. The problem is that the wifi is suddenly broken at anytime...when i'm connecting to my wifi, i got the blue icon in the status bar...but after a certain time, the icon suddenly turn to grey which we dont have wifi access anymore but in setting, it says "connected"...to fix the problem, i have to disable the wifi then push the WPS button on my router and the WPS button in the wifi setting...I hope someone have the solution. Thanks

I see from your signature that you are with Temasek's ROM (this guy is really amazing) with Kowalski(another amazing one)....
why dont you ask this question in the Temasek's general discussion thread....might be addressed quickly than this seperate thread which might be overlooked.
Thanks

Try to flash DHCP Client and WPA Supplicant, you can find it in Kowalski Kernel thread.
The grey and blue colours have got to do with google sync feature. Blue: syncing. Grey: stop syncing.
