going to bump this thread opposed to creating a new thread.
i have read the rules, have more than 10 posts, and been a member for sometime (just never posted much). thats back when i had my VZW D1. went bb8130-bb9630-D1-bb9630-now want back to another VZW android.
trying to get back to the classifieds to trade a brand new pair of sennheisers 450pxc noise-canceling headphones for a android device.

Seems there is enough similarities of the phones, if not Exact....that the threads could be combined.
The reason I think it is critical to combine is that it becomes a hassle to check each thread to see what is good info...we have double postings essentially having two groups talking and solving the same problems.
Since the phones are the same hardware, you could argue that each custom ROM could have its own group. To me: same hardware = same group
I am fine with locking this thread....if I knew how to go about it.
My vote goes for: NO. Keep them as is. Two groupings

So active users like me, have to warn 1321312434324+ people to double check what model they have beforce flashing.
Also this may give 12312342424+ bricked phones....
Not until there is a way to make the Rom's compatible for both phones and the majority of dev's implement it. The fact that we can't run the leaked gingerbread G2X Rom says it really

Guys, this is why recovery supports "assert(getprop)" to prevent software being installed on the incorrect phone. This is why you can't install CM for a Desire on a Nexus One.
Also, it's pretty easy to label stuff.
So I think that reason is invalid.
However, I do think there should be two dev sections and common Q&A/General/Themes & Apps sections.
But then I look at all of the nonsense posts that go on in the G2x section and think perhaps we're lucky...

I'm aware of what is possible, but it makes no sense, don't want to be bothered with the G2X stuff and clog op this forum

It's not just that, the differences mean an answer for something on the O2X can cause problems for a G2X.
If I told someone to install CMR via ROM Manager, turn their phone off hold vol- and power up, on an O2X it would boot into recovery, on a G2X it would wipe the phone as ROM Manager fake flashes.
Why isn't this thread closed already? It's clear the two phones are different, and everyone agrees.

When this O2x thread open it was getting hammered with G2x questions etc which people with O2x didn't want to see or know about, if you wanna look at G2x go to there forum

Hi everyone, some people could try to take a screenshot with software, but all the software you saw needs root, and you haven't got Root, then if you have Android 4 (Nexus 7 has) or higher you can do this simple trick
1) Prepare the scene you want to shot
2) Press and Hold (VOL -) and (POWER)
An animation will appears with a sound
The screenshot is in gallery

There's been lots of threads closed due to us getting "off topic" on an off-topic forum(idk) but anyway I thought of trying this out. There's forums for almost everything and games going on, people even chatting in gaming threads, so I thought of making a thread just for those of us that feel a need for a notification just for chatting it up.
There's plenty of us that would want to be out and social 24/7 but then there's those that don't and the most sociality they get is from forums. Getting to the point, let's just start conversations here that we can't do elsewhere. Oh well let's see if this makes anything or gets closed too.

If you want to chat about a topic then see if a thread for that topic exists. If it does, great! Jump in and start chatting with people. If it doesn't, and if it doesn't break any rules, create a thread for it.

Right now their are a lot of bugs with the achievements not just that they are even some achievements u don't get even after meeting all of the requirements to get that achievements
Stable is unknown yet so we don't know exactly when all the bugs for achievements will be fixed but I don't think it will be fixed anytime soon
