Hy guys,
After spending 5h researching my problem i have decided to ask professional help.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P6200 running on android 3.2. I tried to upgrade to ICS but i had no luck.
I used odin 1.85 and 3.04 followed the instructions step by step, used heimdall didn't work. Tried two diffrent firmware P6200XXLQ1_P6200OXALQ1_ATO and P6200XXLQ7_P6200XEULP1_XEU. It stuck on SetupConection... and it fails with odin 3.04, i used pit and re-partition an still no luck.
The thing is that it would not connect to Kies, the pc recognize it u can browse the files download the pictures, browse sd card, but not connect to kies (don't know why). I took a picture for u guys to see what i think is wierd.
What do you guys think are my chances to update to ics or other firmware better than 3.2 because i hate the way it works right now.
The chance should be higher at P6200 forum.

Hello world (sorry for my Bad english)
i hope you can help me. When i was getting my galaxy i was very happy but with the time froyo is froyo getting boring. So i was root it and every thing worked great. I was using flagship and it was perfect but then came the leaked gingerbread Rom and i have install it. But after a day it was every time on 1 ghz and the battery was very fast drain off. So i was flashing back on a stock froyo. And here's the problem : when i try to root other again it doesn't work. Z4root hanging and close. In recovery i try update .zip bit this doesn't work, too. And when i try to root with odin it doesn't work too (i have only the German error : odin reagiert nicht mehr. ) pls help me and say how i can fix it.
Pc : windows xp
mobile : Samsung galaxy s froyo js5
Thank you !
You have flashed stock rom so now you have recovery 3e. You can't flash update.zip while you have 3e recovery. Best choice for you is now darky's odin rom. Download it and follow instructions. If you have some problems send me a message.

Well, thank you but i have already see it and if i remember right i have to flash only the pda file with odin. And i have already try to flash a rooted froyo pda. But odin will show me a error (in english could it means odin won't react. Send / don't send). And i think it will show the same with this pda file. I have also tried to flash the froyo stock phone and csc with the root pda but then is it the same error. And i have forgot to add that i also was tried to root it with super-one-click. But fail....
Have you used pit file??.....try downloading darkys odin rom...it doesn't cost you anything

I've tried with and without pit file. Tomorrow i will try darky.

I downgraded my Samsung Captivate using Odin and now am trying to use Samsung Kies Mini to upgrade to the official Froyo build. However Samsung Kies Mini recognizes my phone as an "unregistered device" and I have tried everything an I'm still very confused. What can I do to fix the issue?

Why?
WHY would you do this? What part of "DE-VELOP-MENT" does this fall under, when there's a lovely Q&A section to this forum?

Greetings.
I've tried to find out if it's possible to flash android 2.3.3 without pc. I haven't found much... So I'm asking here if it's possible.
I don't have enough time to upgrade it via pc, so please if you know how to or know where to find info, please post here.
Thank you
I have: I9000, rooted via z4root, darky rom 9.5, kernel is Dark core 1.0 and modem is XXJVE
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
unless darkys 9.5 is gingerbread based you will not be able to do it without kies / odin
you need the 2.3.3 bootloaders and you cannot flash these in recovery.
it will take 30 mins max on a pc, so im sure you can find that time
Thanks. Reason I cannot use pc is... I'm on army and i dont have pc here. Weekends goes so fast its hard to find time to do it... firs id have to flash stock 2.2 firms and so on to use kies hopefully i have time next weekend
But thanks

Okay, first I tried to root my galaxy s but fun know what I do, broke my motherboard, luckily it was still under warranty and got it fixed for $50, but I still want to root my SGS but afraid that if I root again, my motherboard would break again.
Samsung galaxy s
Firmware DXJV9
Gingerbread
If there is way to root my SGS with a 100% chance of working please post below.

First of all I'd come off that firmware version as that's your network providers version....flash JVK, JVQ, JVP, JVH any of them...then rooting will be easier....you need Odin, and your chosen kernel. First flash one of the firmwares above using Odin (theirs loads of tutorials on YouTube) then once done boot into download mode vol down + home + power, connect to computer, open Odin, their should be a yellow box to let you know your phone has been recognised, then in the PDA box, put your chosen kernel in and click start....done, make sure its a kernel for gingerbread and not CM7, froyo or something ok??
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
Yeah. That's exactly what caused my motherboard to break

Why don't you just read the sticky on rooting and flashing in the development section - then you won't need to post here.
S.U.R.F.A.C.E 2.something
can you give me the link as i can't find it

KIES update very Slow. Try Odin
When I find a version I like, I'll try... For now I will continue with this one..
Thanks

update your phone after 11 pm or update your phone by OTA
Odin will help you. It it thought to be stable and safe just like Kies. And easy, too
I would not have problems using the odin and i believe he is well stable... But I will not have problems with the warranty of my device wich had problems and returned a short time of the repair.
