Help! Lost network after installing MIUI RC3
I have seen in other threads that other people have experienced the same or similar issues and that it is possible that the IMEI number has changed.
The advice on other threads has been to flash back using EZBase - what should I be flashing back to?
Thanks in advance.

Well.. Double check your imei # first
Go to Settings>About Phone>Status
Scroll down a bit and write down your imei.
Power off the phone, pull the battery and check if your imei matches the number on the label.
Plus what CSC is in that rom does it cover your network did you try entering the network details manually .
jje
IMEI numbers are the same so seems fine, it did pick up signal for about 5 seconds but then stopped - it is T-mobile - UK.
I tried going in to enter it manually but it either comes up with an error or just says searching for ages - am I doing the right thing??

Hello, I bought of a friend a Samsung galaxy s and he said it needs only unlocking,so i "think" i unlocked it successfully. Was putting a O2 Simcard in and in applications i was having then the o2 SIM Toolkit.
But when i tried to make an phonecall, he tells me "Mobile Network not available",so i went to settings and wireless and network and tried to choose an network operator but he tells me then " Unable to connect to this network at this time. Please try again later."
What can I do?
Did you check the APNs?
Please first check if your IMEI is intact. If it is, flash a different MODEM and see if it works. If it's not, flash a fresh ROM using ODIN and that should hopefully restore your efs.
At first thanks for the reply, but now what is a APN? And how do i know if my IMEI is intact?
Sry,am a newbie
For you IMEI you should check your original SGS Box's sticker. There should be you IMEI number printed on. If you dial *#06# you should be able to read your IMEI. --> Look if it is the same as on your box
for apn settings. Apn is your connection settings, how your phone connects with the providers network. you have to check your mobile network settings if these are correct.
So, the IMEI nr is different then on the sticker, and the apn wasnt ticked,so I ticked the O2 and tried but still no mobile network.
Then i need to flash if I'm right?
I was already looking a bit around here about roms etc. But there are quite a few out there,so when you say to flash a fresh rom, which actually do I need to use?
Thank you
Hi again,
because the imei wasn't the same, I flashed it with a new rom (actually two different ones)
But still after both flashes I still don't got my old imei and still no mobile network available. After the one flash with I9000XXJPU he didn't said anymore no mobile network available, instead he said no data network available.
It would be nice if somebody would have some advice or help.
Thanks
hey! don't panic, i have had the the same problem
just download darky's resurrection edition in the development section and flash it. it should bring you back to froyo 2.2.1 and should also restore your imei properly. after this procedure you are free to flash any rom you want

Flash back to 2.2.1
Check imei
Continue on..
Also the problem you had when flashed JPU sounds like you didnt have your APNs correct..thats why the "no data network available"

No Network
Hi!
I have the same problem.
Network is fine (i switched the SIM-Card into different phones), but my SGS GT I-9000 does not connect / find to any network.
I am running Darky`s ROM 4.0.4 v11.0 Black Edition with 3.0.17-Semaphore_ICS_1.2.5s.
Also, the phone says on screen the name of my network provider (COSMOTE), but no signal.
What now?
Hi,
I get ´no cover´ so I can not use the phone as a phone
model:GT-S5830
Version android: 2.3.7
base band: S5830XWKT7
kernel:2.6.35.7-perf-CL882825 [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>
Mod:CyanogenMod7-Touchwiz5.0 by SkyWalker
ompilation number:GINGERBREAD
I don't remember exactly and I've not a phone with CM7. But try to go to wireless and network, last choice should be something like mobile network and search for network operator (should be again the last choice).
If it doesn't work try re-flashing.
Go to about phone under settings, can you see your IMEI number? What does baseband say?
It shows the IMEI number (and it is the correct one) also shows base band, what is remarkable is that it shows 0% signal volts
Any chance the RIL got corrupted or something like that?

Hi XDA,
I have a Galaxy GT-P1000
My locality is New Zealand
Currently flashed;
2.3.6 stock firmware
Baseband JPZ modem
I recently messed up and didn't save efs while flashing and ended up with 0049. I paid a guy to fix it for me and IMEI is showing up correctly now. Serial # is still 000's.
My issue is;
With a correct brand new sim (and others tried) While signal is showing, I have no network, Under Settings -> About Device -> Status;
Phone Number : Unknown
Network : Unknown
Signal strength : (good)
Mob Network Type : HSDPA
Service State : Out of service
Roaming : Not Roaming
Mobile Network State : Disconnected
IMEI : (correct)
Serial number : 000's
I cannot make any phone calls, even toll free or to network support. 5 days ago this tablet was working on a network before flashing it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
You could try re-flashing the tab. There is a threads on re-stocking gsm tabs back to stock. If that doesn't work you could try manually programming the tab via the memo app. Open memo > in the search box type **772, that should open the programming menu. Thats as much as i know. You have to take it from here.

Guys, who can help?
Bought a MI5 from China (I'm brazilian), updated to MiUI 9 then suddenly it stopped working both Sims.
Sim 2 doesn't connect no matter what I do. Sims recognizes carrier but zero signal and only LTE (as screenshot). When I try to call some, it says that it's not possible. Details: Sim1 only get LTE if I'm connected to Wi-Fi, otherwise it's no service as sim2.
Did research here and
> Both IMEIs are working, appearing in *#06* and are the same on the box
> Gone to carrier and there's NO imei block
> Tried to flash, downgrade, upgrade from to every version available in the MiUI download section (tried China too, no sucess)
> Did hard reset
> Flashed only modem files from a stable room (tried with dev too)
> Tried *#*#4636#* options, leaving Sim1 as LTE/WCDMA and Sim2 WCDMA preferred and nothing
> Tried too to restore efs partition but I did not had a backup so I don't think it's gonna work. And I don't think thats the problem too once both imeis appear and baseband OK.
Used QPST but it didn't worked
I don't know what to do anymore. Can you guys give some light?
Thanks in advance
I would post imgs but I'm new user and can't,
