[Q] Noob - how to install Beats audio on GT-N7000

Hey guys whats up
i'm a noob but i have installed on my GNOTE RocketRom v7 and i noticed an app called awesomeBEATS.apk but i cant install it like a normal app , can u help me install it on my device ???

Rocket ROM is full of mods anyway. You could try the carbon tweaks app and rocket mod so for some other cool features.

Thats the link for carbon tweaks, Just look through the themes and apps section and you will see all the mods !

Have you tried this on RRv3? I really miss the good sound enchantment from v2, yesterday i've tried this mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1983561 but it affect my cpu to work always on 1400 or 800mhz and never go to deep sleep no matter how i tweak kerner or governor. I'll try this .zip with a nandroid ready to revert changes, but if you have further information it will be nice.

wow, that worked pretty fine on RRv3, my hearphones was suffering.. without it sound is so compressed..

what exactly this beats audio does? how can it improve the sound quality?

I ported it around 4-5 days ago but was waiting to upload on 12.12.12 but your eagerness made me to pre phone the release.

Really Appreciated your efforts
Some initial observation for this Beautiful ROM
1. As stated blazing fast
2. 3 G works great
3. Don't have problems while using WiFi
4. Good GPS locking
5. NO ICV / OCV (mentioned although now days not usual one)
6 Not Observed SOD.
7. Played Temple RUN... seems ok (need to check more graphic heavy games games)
Didn't use Camera, WiFi Tather and BT... will update about them Later
Anyway need to mention something
Allow to reboot for 4 - 5 tiimes, I need to flash GAPPS, may be you also need, allow system to get stable.

Its very simple as you explain Standard Wipe and Install .... stil want to check with you, from which ROM you are coming.?

Simple wipe and install

Now I am on this ROM JO2 OS ( Joy and O2 OS with CM7 Performance) can I directly install this? after just doing wiping? or should I need to flash RC1 or RC2 or RC3 before

You can install directly, no need to flash rc1 and lab lab ... but I suggest to wait little more, I have some issues ...
Edit : every change in setting need reboot ... actually default ringtone was silent and I changed to another but sound was missing ...but after reboot it got changed ...

Great man you learnt the art of porting.....

I will look for the earphone solution.
I have used the beats audio libraries not the audio manager.
The sound is clear and loud if you check it out on earphone.
Awesome beats is for ICS
EDIT : copy attached file to system/framework and set permissions rw-r--r-- and reboot.

ZeroInfinity's PureXAudio Sound Mod gives XT, XV great sound & fix walkman bug

I have recently come across this great Sound Mod for Xperia Z by ZeroInfinity:

I decided to try and wow... it just works!!!
The Sound is truly amazing. Even better that the walkman bug (which stop after one song when you use headphone and screen off) has also gone!
It makes me very happy and want to recommend to everyone here! Try it and see!

Edit 1: For version 9: the full version does not work for Xperia T, only Lite-Universal version does.

Edit 2: Version 10.1 has come out. Full version works well with XT, using stock-based custom rom and Doomkernel-V04. Great sound!

Edit 4: Version 11 is out. Tested fully working with XT! Very good Sound!!!:good::good::good:
Edit 5: Version 12 is out. Tested fully working with T running stock-based custom rom firmware .492. Among the three sub-version I find 44.1/16 version to be the best. Much improved sound compared to 11. The sound is now more clean and original with 44.1 kHz! :good::good::good::good::good:
Edit 6: tested Version 12 with new firmware .140. It is buggy, cause freeze for some unknown reason. If you like this Sound then should stick with rom with older firmware .492.
Edit 7: Tested version 13 with firmware 489/492 (Curiosity 2.4 and Hybrid Stock/CM 1.2) working well and very good sound! Still, with firmware .140 it causes freeze when receiving calls.
Edit 8: PureX version 14 has come out. Tested working fine with firmware 489/492 and really really good sound. Firmware .140 is again not working with this version.
My ranking of the audio quality: Number 1 is Version 12 (44.1) Cheers.
Note on flash: Need to mount system first before flash the .zip file.

doesnt WORK there an mistake in updater script and phone doesnt update single file!!! when i edited it to work properly there very BAD sound coming from headphones..

This got an error. If you play it with the headphones on, if you take them, the loudspeaker doesn't work

Zeroinifinty has given me permission to use it in my rom, so it will be included in that this weekend (Maybe even tomorrow if I get time)

tried the new uploaded lite version and it does not work as you mentioned, it kills speaker sound, on headphones it is good but the loudspeaker doesn't work anymore after flashing it. had to restore backup...

The full version works perfectly on Xperia V. I've been using it since v5.
I'm on KXP milestone4-r3 CM10. Not sure about stock.

The full version will flash sucessfully but you wont get all the features working correctly as some of the files will only work on the Z. You will get exactly the same working features as the lite version but with a load of extra files that are not really doing much for you...

Well I'm experiencing an obvious boost in sound quality (Clarity, treble and bass). After updating to v9 from v7, I also noticed the SRS bass boost effect (supposedly not in the lite version) which was implemented in v8. Not sure if volumes are affected or not though. Never really had a problem with the default volumes.
And before you say it, no, it is not placebo.

I am not saying it is placebo, 99% of the mod will work...
Here is what zeroinfinity said to me in a PM
This is the LITE Edition of PureXAudio, the reason why I use LITE versions for every port of this mod is that the mod has files which are only compatible for Xperia Z, I have removed all the files which will not work on other devices.
Stuff you won't have are:
192kHz audio playback (It is very rare for a phone to support this sampling rate)
SRS Enabled (snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3 file only works on Xperia Z, using it on others causes non boot)
LOUD Volume (Again, same reason above)
but you will have everything else

I am just going of his word for it, after all, he made it...

The chip in XV is newer than in XT and more closer to XZ, so it is likely that full version will work with it.
For XT full version can sometime work but not stable. I have tried to push the key music file from XZ (semmusic.apk ; soundenhancement.apk and musicfx.apk) to XT and then flash full version. It works for some time with extremely loud sound (although nice) and can see all feature in the equalizer. Still, after sometime Walkman stop working and freeze when never using music player.
Lite version effect is hard to notice, not quite sure if and how much effect.

I can not flash the full version, the files don't want to install on my LT25i when I look later with root explorer, its not there :crying:
What am I doing wrong?
I have locked bootloader but root and the CWM here from the Xperia T/TL/V forum.
I want more loud in my Walkman

You need to mount system first, then flash the zip. And make sure to back up system so that you can go back when things go wrong.

There is a new version out 10.1. Tried again with it, and to my surprise it works perfectly with all functions. I am using stock-based Curiosity 2.4.
Not sure if it last long but for now everything is perfect with wonderful sound!:victory:

Good to know you also have it works! I also noticed volume in this version is low, but the sound is really very nice. For XT DoomKernel allows increase volume a bit. For XV I am not sure there is a solution. I guess ZeroInfinity will increase volume in the next version! cheers.

i like acid audio engine and want to use it on our phone (incS) but as u know when we install it on any CM10.x rom, microphone in call doesnt work, the man on other side of the phone cant here u. so i take a logcat from the issue and if anyone can fix it pls take a look at logtac i taken tnQ

btw this worked for me in an early version of cm10.1 and sound is far better than "stock". but i didnt test it on latest versions

yep with this mod my mic worked on calls. give it a try. you have to mod your build.prop and flash the files. (do an nandroid backup before!)
the most impressive setting is activating sony clearaudio+ , it really comes near to the acidmod.
but all sound mods are depending from your headphones. acid is amazing with my in-ears but it sounds like crap with my big head phones

it should work on szezso rom,
install guide from the dev
just add the lines into your build.prop . i'm using total commander for this. then flash
1. SONY Xperia V Album, Movies & BE 2 For All Device
2. Download Equalizer Clear Audio+ v.3
3. wipe cache+dalvik cache
reboot
the walkman player is a good player, enter the settings in it and activate clearaudio+
do nandroid backup before it,
i didnt use it since 1-2 months, so i cannot report atm
some features (i.e. album art downloader) dont work, check the Q/A in the thread for solutions

Rizal's mod works with out issue in cm roms, u can see that in my xperia incS topic too. But i want acid, not clear audio and etc

impressive, just installed on Slim 1.9 and everything work great.... some FC then changing the sound to clearaudio it give FC the standard EQ ... I dont understand why.. but all smoth and looking nice..

I also noticed that afther install this zip it eliminates the play store... and after manual install it's keep giving FC.. and here we are without play store... another one is that the stock calculator afther apllying the theme the numbers are in black and cannot see the number ...
hope to give it a look.

I've succeed with Play Store by putting it in system/app and reboot , but I keed having the FC with the system EQ, in sound Effects I have Clear audio by default and when I start music with WALKMAN o Play Music I receive a EQ FC...
Anyone have a solution?

not sure about playstore it is not part of zip but in gapps package so maybe when flashing this you may have to reflash gapps as for EQ if it is the stock one you are talking about it does not work with walkman you can remove it from system apps or just disable it in app manager and i have seen the stock calculator problem but dont know what is causing it

The problem is I cannot find EQ in system/app, I tryed to freeze but problem continues . It's very anoyng every time I want to listen music I get the EQ FC.

should be dsp manager in system
you could also try to clear data in walkman app then reselect clear audio

It worked but now I get no sound when I received a call
And must important no sound alarm

The sound is set to clear audio...
And confirm that tha alarm worked , and the only thing not working is tje ringtone.
Can recoment a cm10.2 4.3.1 rom that works good with this?

Go into your settings in calculator app and change theme to light and you will have calculator working

Just installed on stable v2 Slim bean, with wipe cache and dalvik.
walkman FC and no clear audio ... for now....

I installed the new walkman and work (but when start playing get FC on the Equalizer) , the sound it on clearaudio...and doesn't fit with 268 dpi..
And again it removes the play store and cannot get it work... (I don't know every time does that.. cannot remove this option?)...
The xperia keyboard works ...
hope you can get this fixed ..because it's a great mode ...
