Nexus 4 for $150 on T-Mobile - Nexus 4 General

I am a teacher and I get all kind of union member benefit emails all of the time. I got a T-Mobile one yesterday, and after clicking around, I found the nexus 4 for $150, but it is for new lines only. I was pissed because I am due for an upgrade. Anyway, if anyone was thinking of jumping to T-Mobile for the nexus 4, Here is the link:

the link says session expired. is it only for union members? i'll be switching to tmobile this week so this deal would be very timely indeed!

Any idea if supported on Nexus 4 **
A quick search says that the nexus 4 is supported, but I can't verify.
Love ya T-Mobile! Press statement claims 200 million on late by the end of this year... Considering they are only at 220 million on hspa right now... That's pretty aggressive.

errr I didn't mean supported on TMo I meant nexus 4 lol

And yes I'm pretty sure the Nexus 4 has it as I can tell when talking to my dad(he has SGS3)

Nexus 4 at T-Mobile b&m

Just letting everyone know that I was able to pick up a Nexus 4 at a t- mobile retail store. At first they told me they were in stock but couldn't be sold yet. About 10 minutes later this story changed and they said they could sell it to me. Pricing is different than buying directly from Google but it is available.
This was in Raleigh North Carolina.

My local T-Mobile also has a few Nexus 4's in stock. I'm with AT&T though so I don't know if it has any T-Mobile bloatware on it or not.
Was the pricing full retail for TMO or Google?
$549 for the 16 GB Nexus 4 at my local T-Mobile.
Full retail unless you go with a "classic contract". But the classic contracts are inflated and cost more in the long run.
I have not found any bloatware.

I purchased one at the College Station, TX TMo store. It has zero bloatware. Also, it rooted just fine and is already running cm10.1. this is a pretty incredible phone.

Are you with T-Mobile or AT&T?
There is no bloatware on the T-Mobile nexus 4. I have one and there is no T-Mobile crap on it.

Fore that much money, you could have bought a bnib nexus 4 on amazon and a charging stand or 3. Why would you pay that much?

Well I didn't buy it. Thats the price they told me when I called a couple hours ago.
$500 plus tax at 10% is about $550. Seems a little high... Maybe that's with activation?

If you're in Lansing, MI there are a few Nexus 4s in stock at the T-mobile at Frandor Plaza. Hit up Kerry, he'll hook you up. :good:
I just picked mine up from T-Mobile. New promotion at work demanded the capabilities of a smartphone for email. Works paying for it so might as well get the phone I want and not wait
I was at CES and knew from the rep there it would be in stores by the 16th. Thanks BTW from the dude with the white helmet. Managed to hold off on getting a smartphone since they came out. Yay me for being poor till now.
I tried the Droid DNA and hated Sense. This thing is beast.

Yeah they have it at a couple of stores here in San Antonio for $218 with a 2 year upgrade or new line/contract.
I was just going to buy it outright. But I decided to let my companies monthly cell expense pay for the phone via contract.

No bloatware. It is the same n4 that you can get from the play store.

Nexus 4 hardware update incoming?

Yesterday, GSMarena posted that the N4 will be updated with LTE and a storage bump as well. 16GB and 32GB for 300$ and 350$ respectively.
According to the leaked manual of the N5 the 32GB was said to cost 450$. According to GSMarena the N5 will cost 399$ and 450$ respectively.
IF THAT IS TRUE, who's upgrading?
The N4 16GB costs 400$ in my country as it is.
P.S: I'll buy the N4 because of budget constraints, will be my second Nexus phone, after the Nexus S.

I'm waiting next year for the price cut like they did with the Nexus 4. I could buy it now, but it wouldn't be cost-effective.
That would be ****ty for Google to release an LTE version of the Nexus 4 this late in the game.. Anyone who is anyone knows the N4 is already LTE capable... To charge for a legit version is just a **** move
Sent from my Nexus 10
Don't think I can believe this rumor, don't know why Google would do this, They had 4 7 10, now if tis 4 5 7 10 it would just confuses buyers, and the screen size isn't much of a difference anyway. Also Google always had just 1 Nexus device a year, why two all the sudden?
I'd still get the N5 because it have the hardware for hand free Google Now voice interaction like the MotoX, which the N4 don't.
We already knew what happen with some of the previous false rumor like project road runner and theming engine. Just taking a quick glance at AndroidGeeks is already enough to tell me they are putting this up for more viewership than journalistic integrity.
First rumors were $299/$399 for 16gb/32gb.. now $399/$450...
THESE are all rumors... Dont believe it until you hear word from Google themselves...

the LTE capable is only 1 band... if google releases a refresh N4 with all bands of LTE, then it wouldnt be that bad, dependent on pricing of course...
Suppose it does come with all lte bands. I mean with Verizon and sprint you'd still need cdma for calls and I guess that leaves you with tmobile or AT&T still with a lte n4

i hope that's true. if they release a 16gb lte capable n4 ihope i can flash it to my og n4! then i won't have to worry about enabling lte every time i flash a rom update

it's only a d**k move if they release it with official band 4 aws only. then all it would mean is they pulled it and had a fire sale because they got fcc approval on the exact same existing hardware setup
If there was a Nexus 4 "LTE" coming, it would have had to hit the FCC. I have not heard anything about that one. I will be getting the Nexus 5 no matter what happens. Just hard to believe so many rumors and believers of the nexus 4 "LTE" where there's no leaks or FCC filings known.

FCC is closed. Bluetooth certification for a LTE Nexus 4 appeared recently. Its going to be a reality now I guess.

If this is the case it will suck for us who want to sell our current N4 to get an N5 unless the LTE N4 is not sold at such a bargain price.
If there is n4 lte I might just get one

Reports are saying its the same model number as the current n4, so it will most likely be a software and radio update to current owners,

Exactly. There's no chance a new N4 is being released, it's just going to be a patch for the current radios.

http://www.androidauthority.com/nexus-4-lte-bluetooth-sig-286464/
You had this closed once. I for one will keep my Nexus 4 even though I could get one,4+ or5. There is plenty of life in the nexus 4.im happy with it as is as I get hsdpa + speeds of 15mb/s +.
I'm not insecure enough to need the latest version for no reason at all.

Anyone thinking about jumping ship?

Seeing as how the Nexus 5 unlocked from the play store can work with Sprint, who here is planning on jumping to that phone? Pros/cons?
And with most gs4s selling on Craigslist in my area for 400, might end up being an even trade. Has me considering jumping to lg. Even though I've never had an lg device, my experience with the gnex was great.

I bailed
Expecting my N5 to reach me on Wednesday. I kept my S4 on MF9, rooted (didn't install MJA), and put it on CL clearly indicating that. I put it on there today for 500, and I have 2 offers (who indicated that they wanted it as it is - without installing 4.3 - must be familiar with the KNOX issues after installing MJA).
Of course things can change till money changes hands, but so far so good! Ordered N5 using discover card, for a 5% cashback, so that worked out even better.
so we can purchase the the device through play store and just transfer our sprint phone line?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda app-developers app
I'm contemplating the same thing. Gonna call sprint later today to see how I might go about it.

Yes, the unlocked play store n5 works with Sprint. Confirmed via Android Central and a Sprint rep.

Nexus 5 - Singapore thread

I haven't seen any thread for Singapore yet so I decided to create one. Please share any info on where to purchase Nexus 5 locally in Singapore if any and I'll add it to the list.
Local store that sells Nexus 5:
- The Open Surface (both US and International version are available)
NOTE: You can only get 3G speed with the US version. If you want LTE then you will have to get International version.
There's a s'pore thread way below. I just got my n5 today. No loose buttons, no dead pixels, no defects so far. Loving this phone
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
Here for work and I am using my North American Nexus 5 on StarHub without issue.
While it only is able work on 3.5G, it is fast enough that I do not miss LTE.
