Hi everyone! Today my Galaxy Tab 10.1 (3G) has been updated to Honeycomb 3.2 via Samsung Kies.
During the update, i saved the Kies download folder containing the firmware.
I've uploaded to 4shared on this link:
http://www.4shared.com/file/IvMsjSLY/P7500ZVVKL1_P7500UBKL1_P7500VI.html
- Its about 727MB.
- You need Odim to flash (I cant help you with that).
- Is a Brazilian VIVO 3G version, and "i think" will work on any 3G Galaxy TAB 10.1.
- I've updated this morning so, not tested enough.
- Is more fast than the original 3.1 but, not fast enough We really need ICS.
Great job tonywalker!
Samsung released updates from gt-p7500 but vivo doesn't offer support.
Many people uses task650's roms, and look very awesome, but most of task650 updates and others works only in "gt wifi only". Is there any way to use these roms and apply 3g support on gt-p7500 from vivo?
Probably not. Developers would have to create a ROM specifically for gt-7500.
After a few days of use I can say that I really liked this update to 3.2. The most annoying problem was resolved, and now just the slowness of the tablet bothers me.
I think you should try.
Thanks a lot.
Searching an restock way for a looooong time, thank you.
which problems and apps?

I´d like to know what kind of problem did you find on 3.2 stock? Is it slowest than 3.1? Yesterday i rooted the tablet (3.1 os) and also overclocked, after these mods i realized that honeycomb are more fast and flow now. Honestly i dont want to create new problems that now.
Some apps are very usefull and cant miss on this tablet like:
- Folder Organize (u can use lite version)
- HD Widgets (improve time and weather with a excelent widget)
- Hide bar (the propose is: hide system bar every time you want, but bottom restore didnt work as the program promess)
- wifi ad hoc enabler (this app are really getting me nervous!!! I´m looking for a app that enable ad-hoc network and share files between pc and tablets (option locked by samsung). This is a new app and most os people are leaving messages saying that its perfect. After follow all the instructions i cant share my files.
** I tried to download 3.2 stock but i think that only 4shared users are allowed to download big files. Please, split the rom in two small files and reupload

Just to confirm, I flash this by putting my tablet into download mode, then selecting PDA in odin and then search for the .tar.md5 file of the ROM right?
Hello, I am using Ivendor's latest Alpha 6 of his CM10 ROM for the Galaxy S Plus and was wondering if he wil include the newly introduced feature called 'Expandable Desktop'? It hides the statusbar and the soft keys (only on devices with softkeys ofcourse).
If not, is there a way to accomplish the same effect on this ROM?
Don't know if it is the same on Ivendors cm10 but on cryberts slimBean you can tick a box in the settings so that a button appears on power-menu to "expand desktop"
I've read this article on androidpolice, but it seems I can't include links yet. Just google 'Expandable Desktop' and you'll find some articles about it. Maybe it's only included in the 10.1 nightlies and they forgot to mention it?
No it got implemented in latest version om cm10 but the articles you referred to were published in cm10 otherwise many articles would be wrong too
Either Ivendor hasn't synced it so far or you'ld have to find it in settings
Otherwise you could try slimBean
Hmm, ok thanks. I will wait a bit longer to see if it shows up after a new update.
As you know, cm9 does not provide a fully working camera for our device (only photos) so my plan is to copy camera drivers from cm9.2 to a custom ROM wich base is cm9. I recently moved to another town and i can't change the whole base because my computer is still at home.
I don't need to know for sure if it works or not, i'm willing to test myself. But my real question is: Where are the driver files located?

Well, this won't work. Paul L. said that CM9 is missing something, IDK i forgot.
Hi all,
Today, I proudly present GomdoLight KitKat for KOREAN LG G / G2 / G3 / G3A / G3cat6 / Gflex / GK / Gpro / Gpro2 / LTE3 / Vu2 / Vu3 / Gpad7LTE, one of the most widely used (with 20,000+ users approximately) stock-based custom firmware in South Korea.
GomdoLight is more than 3 year old already (first version released on 19th December 2012), and is very mature.
Technically speaking GomdoLight is NOT a complete ROM, but rather a large-scale patch, which modifies official stock firmware to remove all the unnecessary components preloaded by operator/manufacturer, and reorganizes key system parts to 'basic' Android OS with manufacturer's flavor. For some devices GomdoLight's own specialized tool 'GomdoLight Sideloader' can make it possible to install GomdoLight directly over the stock firmware, even without rooting or flashing custom recovery!
GomdoLight is compatible with the following devices (BOLD indicates GomdoLight Sideloader support - no root required)
LG Optimus G: LG-F180S, LG-F180K, LG-F180L ("G")
LG G2: LG-F320S, LG-F320K, LG-F320L ("G2")
LG G3: LG-F400S, LG-F400K, LG-F400L ("G3")
LG G3A: LG-F410S ("G3A")
LG G3 Cat.6: LG-F460S, LG-F460K, LG-F460L ("G3")
LG G Flex: LG-F340S, LG-F340K, LG-F340L ("Gflex")
LG GK: LG-F220K ("GK")
LG G Pro: LG-F240S, LG-F240K, LG-F240L ("Gpro")
LG G Pro 2: LG-F350S, LG-F350K, LG-F350L ("Gpro2")
LG Gx: LG-F310L, LG-F310LR ("Gx")
LG Optimus LTE3: LG-F260S ("LTE3")
LG Optimus Vu2: LG-F200S, LG-F200K, LG-F200L ("Vu2")
LG Vu 3: LG-F300S, LG-F300K, LG-F300L ("Vu3")
LG G Pad 7.0 LTE: LG-V410 ("Gpad7LTE")
A very thorough and extensive (probably, the most extensive on entire xda) manual is provided at the download page, which contains literally everything you need to know to install GomdoLight. FAILURE TO READ THIS DOCUMENT BEFORE INSTALLING WILL ALWAYS LEAD TO VARIOUS UNEXPECTED PROBLEMS. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Needless to say, I WILL NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS ALREADY ADDRESSED IN THIS DOCUMENT.
Due to xda forum's limits (in functionality) I am posting a link to the separate (external) DOWNLOAD PAGE. There is no way I can link to each section in the document in xda posts, since xda does not support HTML tag. However some portions of the document are also introduced here.

Will we see a port to d959 ever? If so and you need a tester pm me!
EDIT: For those wanting to try it did install, but very few bloat was actually removed and no gomdo apps were installed.

I'm not sure yet, but it may not be necessary. Because gomdolight is a large-scale patch mainly focusing on script-driven features, just three of system apks are overwritten:
- /system/framework/framework-res.apk
- /system/priv-app/LGSystemUI.apk
- /system/priv-app/LGCameraApp.apk
Camera should be compatible for all variants, and only the FRAMEWORK RESOURCE and the SYSTEM UI might have compatibility issue.
You can first take a Nandroid backup, and try installing GomdoLight all the way to the end over your stock firmware, and see if it boots (and operates without crashes)
For model selection just choose LG-F340K.
1) If it works well: CONGRATULATIONS! You have fully-working GomdoLight.
2) If it fails: Restore Nandroid, and reinstall GomdoLight. However this time choose the 4TH option for battery percentage indicator. (Do not change) This options leaves both framework-res and SystemUI unchanged, so it will work 100%.

in the download/manual page. section 10. (see the first post) be sure to read the installation guide.
I installed in my d-958, well, some force closes in the settings, app manager and gallery sometimes, but everything else, at least the main functions, works well

do they CONSISTENTLY force close by certain actions? or just randomly?
I'm downloading now and will test it for the D95920s firmware. T-Mobile D959 on the latest KitKat 4.4.2 D95920s. Will report back later. I need my phone till at least 4pm central time so I can reach my son but I'll flash after that.
This intrigues me. Sprint supported? I don't feel like dealing with force closes mentioned in previous post in different variant.

good luck. if it crashes revert to stock via nandroid backup and reinstall gomdolight, this time choosing the 4th option (do not overwrite the status bar) with battery percentage indicator.

probably. the script set is practically compatible with all current LGE devices with JB or KK. only few apks should be troublesome.
if not sure, choose not to change the status bar during installation. then it will not overwrite both framework-res and systemui.
Gonna try it on my d950

Mahh nothing different.... install went perfect,so far no force closes. What is this supposed to be? I dont see any difference. I used the f340u+. Nothing special going on with this. Restoring my back up now.

Don't you see messages like 'GomdoLight: System starting up'?
You usually don't see visible differences after installing GomdoLight, especially on non-Korean firmware, since it does not know what apps to debloat. You would have to debloat the system yourself. However its extensive startup script set provides very unique and useful functions. These functions are explained in the simplified user manual that is automatically displayed after installing. If you did not see the manual opening, and if you do not see the startup messages either, probably something is wrong.

I seen all the startups and everything. Gomdo warning of superuser, a major lag on my phone for abot 3-5 minutes of lag. It only uninstalled vutalj. I honestly havent noticed anything special. I even tried it with that status bar selection and it went through fine.

gomdolight's optimizations are not much visually noticable, without drastic changes. if you expect a whole new experience this is not your type of rom.
or, you could install another stock-based rom that will bring significant changes, and install gomdolight over it (without status bar selection) to further aid with its performance.
think gomdolight as a special tool to streamline and 'properly' reorganize the stock firmware (or, stock-based roms). changes are not noticable at first sight, but they surely benefit the user somehow in the long run, and give you better control and (sometimes) superior disaster handling capabilities.
anyway, thank you for letting me know that selecting LGU+ model increases compatibility with non-Korean firmwares.

UPDATE - Wave 2, revision 3
UPDATE LEVEL: MEDIUM / IMPORTANCE: HIGH
UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS:
One-touch upgrade via 'Upgrade/Repair' option
CHANGELOG:
Improved GomdoLight Engine scripts
Faster boot time, reduced processor load during boot
Improved GomdoLight operational status notifications
Slightly improved battery efficiency
'Update Center' components updated
Up to android Kitkat I used the xposed module Volume Steps+ to alter the behavior of volume increments in the volume panel.
Now I'm on lollipop 5.1.1 and this module does not work anymore, there's lots of people having the same problem.
Over here I could read that it should be somewhere else in the framework.jar file.
The only way I know to change the jar file is to decompile it with baksmali.
So I can try if I can find the location where I need to change some values.
But I'm still looking for an xposed module or a stand-alone program to change the increment values.
I even want to try to write my own program but then I need to know how to change the framework.jar file from within the code (still need to decompile it one way or another or is there another way to change these values).
Can somebody give me a solution or put me in the right direction?
You say others are having the same problem. It's not really a problem given the fact the module is designed for KitKat and hasn't been updated since November. The problem is expecting it to work where it wasn't designed to. ?
You don't mention what ROM you're running. Stock, aosp/cm? A lot of non-stock ROMs have that feature baked in.
GravityBox has a volume steps toggle but no option to select how many steps one wants IIRC.
It would be nice to see that module updated.

here you go AndroidON [HOWTO]Smooth Scroll & Volume Step
This may not be quite what you are looking for but GravityBox has an option to increase the number of volume steps. Been using it for the last few weeks on 5.1.1, works perfectly
edit: oops, sniped in an earlier post by marcdw
Update
When I install GravityBox and click on more volumesteps, it can be managed by Volumesteps+.
From then on changes made in Volumesteps+ are treated after reboot.
So I have a workaround.
What I can see is that the section in framework.jar is under another header but none of these values is changed.
This seems to be normal as xposed modules seem to handle everything in memory.
So I can try to write an Xposed module but then I still need to know what to change (it is no longer the framework.jar I need to look at but something in memory, what and where ?).
@deboopi2, good job on discovering that workaround with GB and VolumeSteps+. ?
Will give it a try.
LG G3 D851, Pac-Man ROM, Tapatalk 4.9.5
The subject of volume steps came up in a ROM thread so I mentioned the combo workaround. However, a user said VS+ works just fine on his 5.1.1 ROM with no GB.
You think maybe it's not a 5.1.x issue but a ROM or device one?
LG G3 D851, Pac-Man ROM, Tapatalk 4.9.5
Always worked fine on my Nexus 5 through KK to latest stock. Just wondering, what device are you running? Did you have the LG compatibility mode enabled for when you were under KK? (mine never needed it)
I have a Sony xperia Z3 Compact running stock lollipop 5.1.1
FYI all, latest version of GravityBox now includes a slider for its volume steps feature. ?
