Help! How to get back Google now?

Google now was there and worked well, it disappeared by itself. Whatever I try, it doesn't show up the "Google now" menu any more. Does anybody know how to get it back?

At the risk of stating the obvious, have you tried swiping the screen from the bottom up?
It would go under RTFM.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I did swipe from the bottom up. Only Google search bar shows. In the setting on the right bottom, there is no "Google now" option. I read manual many times and couldn't find out.

Try opening the Voice Search app in the app drawer and then going to settings. Does it show bow?

Finally I found a way around. Sign up and add a new Google account, and it is back immediately under both accounts. Thanks guys.

All you needed to do was turn off Google now and turn it on again, works for me.

The problem is that it even didn't give me turn on/off option.

Pretty simple way of doing it here.

Here is another way of doing it, without installing an app.
Drag down the notification bar, long press "Power saver off," press App info, then uncheck "Show notifications." Then OK to accept.
It should be gone from the notification bar now.
This doesn't seem to work on the stock rooted rom. You can use the app info menu to force close power saver and the notification go away for a while, but it'll eventually come back.

Mine doesn't come back... did you disable system r/w protection? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236849)
I did, it'll come back after a reboot is what I meant to say. Not a bad sacrifice for now.
This worked for me.

Honestly its hit or miss with being able to uncheck that box. I have yet to find a pattern. Like in the ATT HTC One forum. Some are able to uncheck that box. Some like me aren't. Not sure why that is at all.
For those who are not rooted yet, all you have to do is force stop the application and it will not show up again until you power cycle.
I'm rooted on viper rom and I can't uncheck it

I am on AT&T and I can't disable notifications. I am on stock ROM and for now I do not want to root. Any new ideas how to disable that notification? It is making Jelly Bean Notification actions totally useless... (they don't show up)

The only way I know how to disable non rooted is long press on the power saver notification until app info pops up press it then force close it will go away until you reboot or battery saver is turned on

Just out of curiosity.. if you do the above and uncheck the box, does toggles come up first when you pull down the notification panel, or is it still the 'empty' notification panel that comes up and you have to click the corner to get to the toggles?

I'm not really sure what you referring to, I'm running 42one rom and my toggles stay unless I tap the notification bar when it's down then the toggles go away or tap to bring them back.

HTC One animations

Hey guys,
I just noticed that the animations on my HTC One aren't smooth anymore. When I open the app drawer, it's almost instant. Same with the multitasking screen. When I close an app, the next one instantly appears at the bottom right. It doesn't transition to it. Idk if you guys know what I mean though. It's hard to explain. But I noticed this after I connected to the tv at the Sprint store to test out the HTC Media Output. I'm running complete stock and haven't installed any new apps recently and I already checked the developer options and the animation box is checked with 1.0 speed. Thanks for any help
UPDATE: I already tried rebooting it. And I forgot to mention that the screen takes longer to turn on after turning the screen off

Go to setting>developer options>advanced..... Check your animations settings

I already did that. It was already checked with the speed at 1

I found the solution. I force closed HTC Sense and HTC Media Output from the Apps section in the settings and then restarted the phone. Fixed all the transition problems

Message Notification On Lockscreen

When I get messages, it doesnt show the name of who it is on the lock screen. Is there a setting that is turned off? On my S4, it would show exactly who the message is from. Thanks in advance

Just like the guy above me said. Go to your messages than settings. Then top right corner there is a "more" tab. Click that then under the notification setting section click "message preview" to check the box. Then voila

If you touch the notification, it will show a box at the lower half of the screen. Swipe inside that box and it will open directly to the message.

Navigation bar and recent apps button

I love my note 3 but I am not very fond of the button layout. is anybody aware of a way to enable a navigation bar similar to nexus devices? and if not, is there a way to remap the "menu" button to act as a recent apps button? I hate having to hold the home button to access the recent apps menu. I've searched many times and haven't been able to find anything. THANKS!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using xda app-developers app
Xposed with gravity box will let you change the button layout. Navbar can be done but it's a pain in the butt.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
really? the description for gravity box says to not use with interfaces such as touchwiz and sense.

It also has a button remapper. I remapped my menu and back long press to turn off screen and double press to pull down notification

great thank you. I remapped my menu button to double tap to open recent apps. wish I could do it single tap but this is definitely better than before

Xposed additions also works to remap buttons. That is what I use to remap menu to recent apps and long press menu to menu.

Hi, sorry to hijack this thread but since op using note three which uses omeled, won't the navigation bar cause screen burn in? Lol I'm fond with the navigation bar. Ya and just to say xposed addition allow remapping or what best is temasek rom also provide it
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
this is perfect and exactly what I was looking for! I remapped the menu button to recent apps and got the 3 dot menu always on module to accompany it.
