Hi all, this is a strange one.
Yesterday I noticed my music was having problems, I use power amp and have 'disabled' walkman.
I first noticed something was not right when I was running power amp and did a 'shuffle all' and it said 1/346 but I knew I had over 600 songs.. I went to have a look with root explorer and it refused me access to my music folder (see attached)
I then plugged it in to the pc and could see that a number of music files had disappeared and some had been renamed (to incoherent things with squares and dashes). I could not delete them and ended up having to reformat the sd card. What could be causing this? This is the second time this has happened! Is it power amp causing the problem? How can I check?
Thank you for your time

To add to this, both times this happened to me I was listening to music, with poweramp, via Bluetooth in my car.
I have now changed my sd card and will report if this happens again.

Hello, something similar happened to me. But I was using an HTC Legend and a microsd with 32gb. Then I switched to the Xperia T and I noticed the same problem. So I just formatted the microSD and now I don't have any problem.

Seems like, few days after changing my usb conector port, my g sensor failed.:banghead: tried everything like format boot, install various roms, factory reset, etc. Now I'm using arhd rom and g senzor still not working. Found an app called rotation locker and I wish to put a shortcut of it on notification bar, so I can have access on it all the time when I want to use landscape mode. Is there any way to do it?
Also, if someone knows a way to fix my g sensor I would apreciate.

Found rotate app in the market and it's runing in background on nav bar. It's a great temporary solution. Thanx for support.

Have you tried calibrating your g-sensor? You might have unplugged it when you changed your USB port.
The bubles moves only when I hit calibrate. Do you have any idea where is the sensor? Cause I. 've pluged in everything

Try to recheck the ribbons, here is the manual
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/68923799/HTC Incredible S Dissassembly - Reassembly.pdf
I've opened the phone once to change the USB port too, but as far as I remember all ribons that you detach should only LCD related, unless when you open it something went wrong. Just recheck with the manual
Thx for the manual. I opened the phone, cleaned it, putted every litle thing togeter and........ Still dead. Nothing works. It's faulty or i am blind.

Anyone else have issues with the camera not responding after taking a photo on 13mp setting? It's fine on 10mp though.
I am using stock rom with root.

The problem is becoming more frequent. I noticed this:
After the camera stops working and the application asks to be closed, i need to wait just a few minutes for the application restart to work, but only for 1/2 photos. Only restarting the phone is the solution. I can use the camera for dozens of photos with no problem, then suddenly during the day, it only takes just one to block the camera. :crying:
With the first fw release i never had any problem.
This freezing is caused by focus sound, causing mediaserver to be stuck in loop.
It is connected with Bluetooth usage.
For example on my T, I am using BT car radio and when I drive somewhere and want to make some photo after that, even if BT is already disconnected, camera hangs when trying to focus twice and in log, I can see mediaserver running in loop. Camera must be force closed and mediaserver must be killed. Killing mediaserver wouldn't be such pain, using terminal, if it wouldn't have different PID everytime it's killed and if it wouldn't slow down the phone so much.
I hope I wrote it clearly.
You could also (provided you have root access) change you build.prop, changing
ro.camera.sound.forced=1 to 0.
If you change this a new option will be available in your camera app giving you control if shutter sound is on or off

Yes, but do you know what? No sound of focus or shutter is provided by nosound.m4a file. So this is not the solution.
Thank you guys. So how do we solve the problem in the easiest way possible? And why not all xperia t haven't this defect? Why doesn't it show up in the first fw? It 's very boring this defect in a phone where the camera is the first feature. I can not restart the terminal each time after taking a single photo only.
I am trying to find some solution...
i'm sure this is a issue of the new fw. I made many many photos with the last release and never happened. But why? And why only
few peoples are speaking about this?

You don't needa nosound file because it just turns it off. I use it myself and I can tell you this works and my camera never crashed on me.

As i said, problem was solved after changing location of saved pics to ext-sdcard.
absolutelly not. From the first time i started up the phone, the ext-sdcard was the location for my saved pics (i never saved my pics into the internal memory) .I tried to change and to re-set....but nothing is changed. Solution has to be found in an another way.
Here is some workaround for the mediaserver causing camera to freeze problem -
- http://d-h.st/TmT
It's SemcCameraUI with changed shutter tone stream type from "system enforced" to "system" (now shutter tone is turned on/off with global sound settings) and it looks like that the camera is not freezing anymore, but it needs some testing by anyone else with this problem.
Does it need the root to install?
Yes, it does.
Sony has to solve this issue. I think the "minor update" after the .195 was to solve this also. May be?
Could be possible. I am on .197 and I have no problems

Hi,
My 4x has an annoying problem, but it isn't just this phone as this is a replacement of may first one which developed a fault after 2 weeks and that had same problem too.
I'm on UK v10h. Every now and the when I restart my phone, my personal ringtone saved on my micro sd gets reset to default system tone. The ringtone is in root folder of my micro SD card in folder named "ringtone," but this is a weird problem I never had on my xperia arc.
Also, again randomly but very annoyingly the "auto brightness" gets turned off and I either have a super bright screen or a very dim one, and I have to go into settings and select it again.
Lastly, when phone starts up, it takes an age for media scanning finish, I've installed media scan app and it does a good job, but for initial startup it still takes ages.
Anyone else gave similar problems?

The media scanning seems like a normal process since it does take forever. As on the ring tone u might have to put it on the phone instead the sd card or wait for the media scan to finish and see if it still defaults it.

Hello guys, i'm having a very strange issue 1 week after updating to jelly Bean, but i'll start for the beginning:
I've unlocked my phone, and no sound was produced ( the normal unlocking sound), it wasn't in Silent mode, just the speaker didn't sound. It doesn't work for music, videos, or anything, it seems to be dead, but if put the phone in my ear, i'm able to listen a very very low music sound coming out from the speaker, so it isn't really dead. - The other speaker and headset work-
Obviously, i've restarted it, and no change, i've also tried to reset it with pc Companion, and again, no change. So i left it locked in the table, and 30 minutes later, I heard the notificatio sound, and yes, it started working again, like if nothing were happened. Y was really happy, but it only lasted 2 hours, because AGAIN the same very very low sound, but this time, it comes back 2 minutes, and again silence, and again... I don't know what to try any more.. Please help me!!
Thanks anyway, and sorry for the bad english, i'm from Argentina.

Well... it fixed itself, for now, so I won't do anything for now, but if it breaks again, i'll downgrade to ICS... sadly.
Thanks.
had this problem too, but after restarting the phone it was fine.
It's a firmware issue. My tl did that when was on ics. Personally I wouldn't root or unlock the bl. This brand of phones is very sensitive.

I have the same problem. It appeared after I unplug the earphone during a phone call. Now I have tried to restart the phone, replug the earphone, but the headset is still not working...

Hi none of the methods above works for me. This is a real issue, if a phone cannot be listened, it is not a phone anymore ...
Can someone please help? I hate to have to downgrade to ICS again ...

Yeah! I found a solution on another thread.
go to Google store and download soundabout app
Sent from my LT30p using xda app-developers app, then toggle the options in the menu. I was able to get my sound back after using this app!
Cheers!
It works up to now

Anyone else experiencing getting false internal storage almost full warnings?
A few days ago I had a warning that my internal storage was 75% full. I checked my storage and it says I still have 7gb free. Today the message came up again saying my internal storage is 101% full. How is that even possible?! In storage settings it still says 7gb free.
How do I fix this?

Maybe there are some temp files? Do you get warrning in time of usage some application/game?
Yup, have had exactly the same messages being displayed, first time round I agreed and it seems to have copied some random instagram photos and camera thumbs. 2nd and 3rd time I have just ignored the message but it does seem like a fault, and will become increasingly annoyingly. Using clean master app regular to remove temp files and free ram

yep i get it to, i just click close...
Same here, thought it could be hardware problems

Can also confirm it here, but only within the first week. Since then its been fine - most strange.
I also keep having my microSD card randomly dismount and that was driving me nuts, but as it was empty I just ended up taking it out. Will try another one when I eventually get around to it.
