I remember reading that you'd get the same 50GB of dropbox storage with the cameras but I know that AT&T had opted out with the s3 and the 25GB for the One X. Did they also opt out with the camera?
Has anybody purchased the unlocked version and got the 50GB?
I have an unlocked version, was offered 50Gb free but when I signed in it wasn't and hasn't since been applied.
I am not sure if you have to create a new account when you set up the camera for the first time, I signed into my existing account.
I got my additional 50GB when activating my Note 10.1 a couple of weeks ago on my existing account. However, I did not get an additional 50GB when activating my Galaxy Camera now – but that would have been to ask for too much, I guess
A single account can get the free 48GB only once. That's why you didn't get them.
Make a new account, login and then you'll get them... On another account so!!
I'm getting a Galaxy S3 in the next week or two. Do you need to create a new Dropbox account to get the 50GB, or can it be applied to an existing account?
I got those 50GB, but I had to follow steps on dropbox (you should receive a mail about it).
Only issue with drop box is if you have two accounts you can't sync on the same pc (unless someone can tell me how to do it)

So you mean the 50gb initiated when you set up your GS3, but you had to complete the registration on Dropbox.com?

If you actually purchase an app from thre Android Market, is it yours forever, even if you change your phone to another Android phone or reformat the current phone back to factory default?
I presume it's registered to your googlemail account as you have to use the google checkout for the purchase?
Yes, you just have to download it again, but when you log in the market for the first time with your google account, it recognizes the apps you purchased and places them in the download tab as "purchased". Then you just install them again without paying the fee
even if we doing factory resert w/o back up?

Yes. After you reset one of the first things your phone will do is ask you for your Gmail account details. As long as you use the same account you bought them with.
Trust me!!!! I have done it

What happens if you upgrade your googlemail account to a gmail account?
I'm not sure it will still work if you log in with 2 different users. It needs to be the same user you logged in when you first purchased the app..

Is it actually an upgrade? Do you not get the same functionality with either addresses? If so then changing is not needed.

I'd like to change the e-mail address I use to log into the market/play store. I created the account a long time ago, and have since began using a different gmail account as my primary email, so I'd like to be able to change it if possible. The thing is, I want to keep the contacts and purchased apps currently synced with my old account under the new address. Does anyone know if I can do this?
hmmmmmmmmmmmm
You can have more than one account and set up what you want to sync with each account so I'd just use both. I have several accounts. I sync mail on all and only sync contacts, calendar etc with one.
Not sure you will be able to do it any other way. But maybe someone else can help.

I think isn't possible to port market link from one account to another; maybe to only solution is to make a titanium backup of your data and try to restore after changing the account.
If you have TB pro you can try also to restore missing links of the paid apps you have.
If it don't work you don't lost anything 'cause you are working on an new "empty" account.
So :
- Make a TB backup of all your data and apps
- Remove your Google account
- Add your new account
- Restore data and apps
It should work.
Yeah there are ways around the fact, TB and syncing different accounts. Just wondering if there was an easier solution than I know
I'll just sync a couple accounts and make do.

Where would one go to bring an issue to Google's attention? When Google play music first released it gave users the option to bill to the carrier account. I selected this option and it said complete. Several weeks to nearly a month later I get an email stating the my purchase was declined and because of a card I have in my Google Wallet. I deleted this card thinking it may of caused an issue with my selection. I then selected to have Google all access bill to my account again. Here it is a few weeks later and I get another email saying my purchase was declined because I didn't have a card set up in my Google wallet.
This is really starting to get annoying. Has anyone else been successful with having this new service billed to your account? Not just selecting it but actually getting an email when the payment wad due stating the payment was successfully applied to your account and not just some card you have set up in your Google wallet.

I realize this isnt place for topics such as this but I have to try because googling does not help.
So what happened is that i forgot password for my main gmail acc, and i went to forgot my password thinking it would only send verification code to my phone and thats it, but then it asked for the last password i remember then enter another email address and they sent another code to that email and at last it said we will send you an email to the other email address you wrote in, and they did but they said there is not enough information to recover my main gmail acc. If there is any solution to bypass this and somehow recover my main gmail, please help me, everything (photos, emails, play services....) is on that acc. Thank you in advance
I had such problem before, I was told to wait 3 days, I sent them an email with the case id that they provided me, and mentioned all subscriptions done in that account, shared libraries and with which account these libraries were shared. I sent them last the 4 digits of the credit card which was connected to the account. Eventually they sent me a link to sign in my account and change the password.

Thank you very much, I will wait for this next email from google, because i filled out another recovery form, and if the answer is negative again, I will try adding as much information that they will find useful, I hope it pays out in the end.
