Baseband1000DXJJ2
Kernel Version:2.6.35.7
FW Version: 2.3.6
Build Number: Overcome 7 v4.1.0
Cant really understand what you have done. I recommend you to restock to stable 2.3.3 using odin orheimdall via download mode.

Did you ever find a solution for this? I'm stuck at the exact same place.
Obviously he patched the GB bootloader with froyo patch.
Many people got this, ignoring the fact that the patch is not for GB.

will i need to root my device before i flash a custom rom?
not really, most customs roms now root the phone as part of the installation.
although you may need root, to get CWM / 2e Recovery unless you flash thru odin
thanks! i think i might flash darky's
you can do that via odin, and darkys wil root for you so all good.
the guide should help me through

Did you do ever flash using Heimdall or Odin?
I'd rather go the procedure described for installing the OVERCOME rom. - It's pretty safe and if you follow all steps, you should end up with a fully working device.

Hi guys, as per title, I would like to see stock rom on my device but I am using philz safe stock kernel. Updating via wifi reboots the phone and that is it, while using KIES - it freezes on my laptop.
Is there any way to update it via normal OTA update, not via odin etc?

Hi
I had previously cyanogen 4.2.2
Yesterday I have installed this Slimkat. I runs with semaphore in default. Today I have installed Kernel from this thread in CWM. Mackay_kernel_0.609_twrp_CMC-signed.zip to be exact. My phone hangs in the switch-on-screen as in the picture below. Did anyone have similar problem or did I break my phone?

I forgot to post an update yesterday.
I did manage to connect my phone to pc and recognize it with ODIN. The trick was I did this on my laptop from work running win7 with a set of +2 years of multiple installation of drivers on it (my home pc is win8.1). Then it was just a case of downloading semaphore 3.4.0 tarball for i9000. Phone did boot correctly.
