I just bought LG Swift 4X HD, I set up everything, but I have no idea how to setup notification for Gmail that shows on lock screen and in menu like it's shows for text messages and missed calls.
I enclose pictures to shows what I'm thinking about.
Thanks for helping.

Also happens to me... no idea how to solve it. Someone has any idea about it? Thanks.
Well, at last... I'm not alone with my problem
I fount out, when using E-Mail application notification works, I set-up E-Mail application for Gmail (and switch off Gmail application) and it's work's, but how to make that work as push notification not like "check e-mail every 15 minutes", I would like to recive an e-mail when it comes, no when E-Mail application will check my Gmail...Any idea?

Hi,
I'm having some problems with text messages: i simply do not receive some of them, like they are not even sent, like my phone deletes them when they just arrive. I'm having this problem with both stock and ics. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Get intouch with your network provider as they will be able to do checks.
Sent from my LG-P990 using xda premium
It is not a network problem, it is like my phone doesn't give the priority to the message app. So it closes that app when it's out of ram, and sometimes it receive the SMS but doesn't show any notification, sometimes it's like it deletes the message before showing it... I does have this problem with both stock messaging app, go SMS or handcent...

Okay, so I go to contacts, chose a contact and chose to edit that contact. I chose to edit ring tone. I get a list of ring tones available. There's no 'none' option. No option to set this person's ring tone to silent.
I could do this on my old Nokia 10 years ago.
Any tips?

Thanks!
That was what I thought.
It is *RIDICULOUS* that you have to do like this, rather than just being able to set a specific contact silent.
But thanks - now I don't have to search for a silent file.

On my old Samsung Galaxy 3 mini I could set up a different notification sound when separate contacts sent me a text. That way i knew who had sent me the text and I could decide if I needed to read it immediately. Is this possible on the Xperia Z3 Compact.
Thanks In Advance
I use Textra and it seems the setting is there for custom notification sounds per person.

That's a Samsung feature. Native text message app on the Sony does not have this feature (neither my HTCs had this).
I've got a question regarding sms messages handling with the Gear S2 Classic. The problem is I can't reply directly from the watch - when I touch reply it just shows "check your phone" and I can reply only from my phone. With Messenger f.e. I can reply directly from the watch. Is it normal? I suppose there might be a problem with compatibility with other phone than the OP3, but sms? That's the most elementary function... I won't change my phone to Samsung just to have direct reply
I use AwSMS and it works great with the watch, I can reply directly from the watch, I don't like stock messaging so I can't answer that
Today I installed Google Messenger and reply works so it must be the case with stock Oneplus message app. The only thing I don't like about messenger that it is white.

I hope someone can help me with this please because i cant seem to get it right,or i set up my phone incorrectly in some way. I am struggling to get my apps like Facebook or Whatsapp to play their own app tones when i recieve a notification from them. For some reason all my notifications from all my apps are using the tone i set for my sms notifications and i just cant seem to get it changed. Does anyone know how i get to have Facebook notifications come up with the default Facebook pop tone and Whatsapp with the tone i choose it to play instead of the tone for my sms messages
In the settings of fb and whatsapp, why create so many useless threads and do you search before open a new thread.. Again ?
Hooking up under post, since Android 8 is missing the sound selection on fb everything is grayed out
