EDIT: forget that bit.
SamBoyHehe, is there any particular reason you need that specific firmware? I have found that XXLI1 works perfectly fine for me even though its supposed to be for the Asia region and I'm in Europe. I know how to deodex stock ROMs but don't really have the time at the moment as I'm working on my own custom one, sorry.
I'm not sure about battery usage advantages, I think deodexing's main advantage is modification and theming potential.

Will deodex increase the battery life? Because it will decrease RAM usage but I am not sure.

A plain deodexed rom without any tweaks will have lesser battery life than stock but not that much noticeable.

I can't think of how it would decrease RAM usage but maybe I'm wrong. Deodexing frees up space on the /system partition because the app's .odex files are repackaged inside the app's main apk file as classes.dex files. However it decreases space on /data because the classes.dex files get extracted back out into the Dalvik Cache, which is stored on /data.
Zipaligning decreases RAM usage but I think stock ROMs are already zipaligned (at least the system apps anyway) because zipalign is an official Android Developers tool.

The deodex removes system odex which are using a bit RAM. So if yo remove it you get better battery life.

can i have it one? i want flash it through odin. want it make a fresh. sorry my bad english. i just want stock deodex. i working to sent email using phone in mobile data. i hear people say that deodex rom save battery usage. i need help if can. not to force if don't want. everyday 2 or 3 times i want to charge it. maybe if i have a deodex rom fresh like stock rom. it will make more easy to save batery usage even a bit. sorry bad english.

You HAVE to use the framework file for your currently installed ROM for this to work, otherwise it won't

[MOD] Uncapped Data / Liberty 1.0 / Gummy Jar 2.5 /Zoooommmm omg its so fast!!!!!

Zoooommmm omg its so fast!!!!!
.::Added Liberty 1.0 MOD::.
Attached is a modded services.jar file from the stock Gummy Jar 2.5 with bandwidth throttling removed.
Please install this file at your own risk.
This is a flashable.zip
to install
1. boot into clock work.
2. install zip from sdcard
3. choose the zip file you just downloaded.
If you get an error you might want to mount system then install the same file from zip. I didn't have to mount system.
How do I get throttling back if I decided I dont want to use this? All you have to do is flash the gummy jar 2.5 again. You dont need to format or clear cache. You wont lose any data. Or just do a backup before installing this mod.
What changes on my phone? This mod increases the upload and download speeds from the 3g network. The speeds were limited before. This takes that limit cap off.
Make sure you are getting a good signal. If you are getting a bad signal you will not notice a speed difference. If you are in a good area with full bars then yes you will notice a speed difference.
I attached a screen shot of my download speed after flashing the mod. I used the speedtest.net app from the market.
Anyone else tested this? Seems interesting, never knew data was throttled on the x...
edit: any need to mount system or data?
I get those speeds now
stupid question but do I need to have gummyjar rom installed? right now im using darkslide 4.2
When I'm on stock I get 2400 down and 1045 up..so I doubt I'm capped..same on Fission.
i have a 90db signal and saw no speed gain at all.
Do you need to deodex before installing this mod? I am rooted and using gummyJAR 2.5 rom.

On the other hand, since Liberty 1.0 can be installed over GummyJar 2.5 without wiping Data and Cache, can we use this mod on Liberty 1.0?

If you're on a different rom make a backup first before flashing.
Below is the reason why I edited the services.jar from the gummyjar rom:
Someone posted a services.jar file with throttling removed in a different thread, but it came from a different rom. The user that posted didn't specify which rom he was on. I decided to try it out and flash that to the gummyjar rom I was running. Everything worked out ok until I received a phone call. If I answered the call my phone would reboot. So something in the services.jar from the other rom didn't work right with gummyjar.
I'm moving to gummyjar's new rom Liberty. I'll post a services.jar for that rom some time tonight with throttling removed on the first page of this thread.
Thanks
On the Thread for Liberty Rom it said he did not include the upcapped data mod because it caused problems elsewhere...have those been resolved or is this just doing it anyway?

yeah, the power menu is jacked up but other than that it is a lot better since it will not have anything looking for the radio and stuff. It is very nice for me so far. This weekend I plan on sitting down and fixing the power menu, it is just the wording that is wrong, the stuff works, put a screen shot up of what the options are

It's built from the N8010 JB release, which is targeted at WiFi only tablets.
Which should mean greater compatibility, maybe the USB fix, no need to remove telephony stuffs etc

All smooth, installation smooth, rom smooth, didnt have to do any mods to it as I had to with the N8000 rom - sweet no bugs or glitches so far, no having to change governer etc, feels great.
One curious thing though... when going to settings/app/manager/all it still lists contacts, phone app, sim settings and other telephony stuff!
Whats that about, is it still going to be looking for radio and stuff ie sucking battery etc???

Can you titanium freeze them?

ODEX your CM10.1 (even latest!)

If you want to know what is diference between odex and deodex, google it...
for me Odex means better battery and faster loading of apps (NOT performance)
this is original thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514576
TUtorial in short:
***Odex your brand new rom, without any modification***
after flashing your rom, folow this steps
1. download app
2. instal and run
3. grant permision with superuser
4. confirm and wait till the odexing completes (it will reboot and you need to wait 20 min max)
5. thats it!!!!!
P.S.!!! If you dont like it or you think there is no a positive efects, simple reflash your rom
thank you for your time, see you next time

whats so hard to think about partial odexing ?
in themes, generally phone, systemUI and contacts are themed..so remove them from rom and odex ur rom..after odexing simply put back ur files..u can do that for any system app..
same goes for the framework folder
thanks for sharing guys.
i've partially odexed my rom. i removed these apps first: contacts, mms, phone, settings and systemui, before odexing. everything went well, and it is able to change the theme.

That exactly what is partial odexing but don't keep too many apps deodexed then the point of odexing in the first place would be lost and actually partially odexing reduces stability .
So if theming is not your cup of tea just odex all and enjoy

Sorry for a noob question bit is it to make the system deodex from odex ???
deodex => more mods.......
Xposed work on this version ?
Rom development
For use by developers
only for dev`s ..... why?
Can we normal users flash it?
Odex =real more battery friendly and more powerful.
The p8 firmware have only 50 on 140 apps odex .
Deodex is only useful for modding , because it's hard to recompile the modify app after modded it because of the .dex file's.
On a Samsung firmware really all the app was odex (few are not)
If you really want to know about it you have to understand what is really the difference between odex and deodex and how the arm system works.
Google can help to learn
It's can be great but since I have the p8 lite, I never have see a real dev.
No thread's about developing, I mean custom rom, custom kernels.
Are superSU & xposed working with this ROM?
All works exactly like on the deodex, I mean for apps
Of course Xposed works on deodex

It's not a criticism, only a report.

See on the Samsung thread's you see what I mean .
I know low device's have not more devs like expensive device's
Also this p8 lite was a great tool.
(I have buy it for have again a second device's but I really appreciate this powerful device's )
I want to know more the huwaei device's
