Hello,
I'm running CM10 (nightlies)
I would like to know if it is possible to install/flash Google apps 4.2 on a JB 4.1.2 based machine, when i tried it from the BBQtools it messed up all my rom and apps (even the keyboard started crashing) and i had to flash everything from the beggining...
So if it is possible hwo can i do it without messing it up... ?
b.t.w. i do not want to use JB4.2 on my device because the stability is very importent to me and there is no stable enough version yet.
thanks

Hello guys,
I recently installed latest paranoid jelly bean cm10 coming from paranoid 0.5 ics and I am experiencing HUUUGE bugs and force closes and all that stuff.. I tried reinstalling everything with complete data wipe etc but still the same.
So I just want to know what is the safest and the best way to do a complete clean install of ICS. Or even jelly bean if someone knows some stable roms that can be used daily.
Thank you!
If you are new to these stuff and better stuck with stock ROM for some time.
Best way to go clean is Flash GB ROM, wipe completely.
flash stock ICS, root it and flash safe kernel and enjoy it for some time, before moving to custom ROM.
so far the best and still the most stable ICS Rom I know is the stock Samsung ICS TW 4.0.4. Most custom ROMs have their share still of kinks and bugs so that it's expected some way or the other. That's the reason why there are always ROM updates on most custom ROMS out there (primarily to fix the bugs on the previous version)
So here's the thing; my girlfriend bought a GT-N7000, but touchwiz (even on jellybean) seems a little sluggish for her taste. I know CM10 should be alot faster (especially the keyboard). My question to you is: which CM10 rom is the most stable and the fastest?
Sidenote: is it true that the Galaxy Note has problems with the WPA2? Facebook doesnt want to load when WPA2 is enabled on my wifi. Anyone else also had this problem?
i am on WPA 2 and no issues with any internet apps what so ever.

here is a list of roms you could choose.

Try the slim bean rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1918487 , paranoid android rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1871713 or the jelly beer rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1906396
Paranoid Android
Thnx all going to look into paranoid android.. WPA2 seems a bit buggy in the stock rom, and also in the new jelly bean touchwiz 5.0 rom.. Maybe this wil fix it
Hey guys,
I know that this kind of thread is not allowed here, but I really need your help.
My girlfriend has an i8190, stock (with Vodafone Portugal's firmware), but now the phone is getting really slow, and with some annoying bugs (sometimes the status bar stops working).
So I was thinking of installing a custom ROM on her phone. But the thing is... Right now, I'm with her only at weekends, so I can't install a custom ROM with bugs, lots of random reboots, etc.
My question is: should I install a custom ROM, or is it better to reinstall the stock ROM (maybe the debloated version)?
Thanks!
I'm not sure about that model, if it has NFC it won't work on any custom rom Samsung never released the driver, everything else is working at least for me I use pac rom because of customization but I would recommend Omni Rom or Cyanogenmod 11 because of stability in pac rom I have a bug that connects/disconnects the phone while plugged to the PC, and I haven't had reboots with custom rom in months,I prefer custom instead of stock mainly because I had reboots in stock and lag
Hi guys! I'm currently using Amcha Rom Kitkat version , bu i wanted to use a stable "Clean" android rom. I tried every custom rom we have for our i9305 (the kitkat ones) and in every one i have problems with my camera (it works for an hour or two and then it shows it has stopped, the only way to repair it is a reboot). Can someone show me a stable rom without camera problems? (Not touchwiz) I tried to use 4.3 roms bu it just says "Baseband unknown" in every one...
Hi there, a few months ago I flashed a custom ROM and switched from the stock 4.1.2 to the CarbonRom 4.4.4, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S Advance
Now I'm having lags with it and I want to return to the stock ROM or install a JellyBean based ROM.
I read that it's not possible to install the ROM directly because I need to downgrade first, but I don't know where to start... is there a guide out there?
I tried searching on google and I read that it's not possible to downgrade because of bootloader things... Can someone help me?
Thanks in advance
You don't need to downgrade.
You can directly install stock Jelly Bean firmware using Odin.
You can install a Jelly Bean based rom using CarbonRom recovery. If the Jelly Bean based rom doesn't include a kernel, you also need to install a Jelly Bean kernel (like CoCore).
Personally I think there's no need to revert back to the slow Jelly Bean. I'm using this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s-advance/general/rom-modded-cyanogenmod-11-t3387424 for three weeks now with no problems, it's better than CarbonRom.
