It may not be an app, but I found a website that has a bunch of TV shows that stream on the Eris. the site is androidvideo.net . it is very compatible for the Eris.
Nice Find watching !
I hope more people donate so they can get more space to put more shows up. The admin told me that they are trying to get a 1000 shows up by the end of the year, but they need more space.
Sweet thanks.

Have you seen the show selection, LMAO!
I think it has some good shows on there. They may be a few years old, but they are still good. Plus what other options do we have with the Eris.
I do like this site nice find. Hopefully there will be better things to come

When I donated $5, I got a thank you email from the admin. I asked him how he thought of the idea and he told me that he had an Eris and got irritated that we didnt have too many options for watching videos so he decided to create his own option. He told me that the more that people donate, the more webspace he can afford to upload more shows to watch. So if you like the website, please donate so he can afford to upload more shows. I'm going to continue to donate $5 a month just to help ensure the site is able to grow. I'm really happy that the Eris isn't being left in the dust with this website since it is compatible with every Android because it don't use flash.
CH131.COM works on my phone.
If your rooted on froyo then jetflicks app from market is a really good app updated daily and plays really well on Eris. Its updated daily and has every show I've looked for. Hope this helps.

You don't need to be rooted for Jetflicks to work. And you don't need to buy the app since you can go straight to their website. I also subscribe to them. The problem I have with them is they have said certain shows were coming soon, and 4 months later, they still aren't there.
CH131.com doesn't work on my stock browser. androidvideo.net does. ch131.com may work with skyfire though.
Basically My friends are coming round to my house on monday to buy Reading tickets (It's a music festival) We've chosen my house because it has the most stable internet but its not overwhelmingly fast. Anyway to the main point, the tickets for this festival sell out very quickly, within hours of it going on sale and with thousands of people on this one website and the same time it can be quite tricky to actually get the tickets. So what im asking is if there is anyway I could do something, anything that would increase my chances of getting these tickets rather than just simply hitting f5 repeatedly and hoping for the best. Is there a way I would be able to make my IP adress have priority over someone else's? or ideally everyone else's?
I doubt that is actually possible but you get the idea, any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Not even remotely possible. Timing and f5 are going to be your friends.
Agree. No chance.
P.S: If you are really IT savvy, you could use wget to keep an eye ion the page for you. I never managed that, though...
go somewhere with a faster and more stable internet connection
That was what I was afraid of, oh well thanks for the input anyway

F5 and prayer is your only hope here. You could always script a macro to refresh the page, however by the time you've coded it to support showing if you get in you're going to have wasted more time than it's worth.
HD2 is the best phone in the World at the moment.
No it does not have the best 15154 billion collor screen.
No it does not have 6 cores CPU.
No it does not have 1080p recording or 12MP camera.
No it does not have al sorts of prety much "paper only" functions.
What it does have is a soul, inspired by great programmers, developers, a lot of sleepless nights, and a lot of sweat.
What does that mean? Well, HD2 users pretty much kept WINDOWS MOBILE a live. Development, upgrading, enabling it run android, etc. What did we get back? Void warranties, bricked phones, etc. No, nobody from Microsoft said: Hey guys, that is pretty darn cool, keep it up, we are learning from you. No, they said: Well, srew that, we are going to give all our attention to ours younger son, WINDOWS PHONE 7.
Ok, that is just fine, you did few phones based on WP7, good for you. Well guess what, we run it better, smoother, on a bigger screen, hell, even if we get sick of it we just do restart and BAM WE ARE IN ANDROID 2.3.5!
We don't need much from Mirosoft now, we can handle almost anything, HEY MICROSOFT WE RUN MANGO, we can update via Zune!!!
Only one thing really annoys me: Dear Microsoft, do we really ned to cheat your support agents to give us activation keys to use live services and market places?
For Gods sake! We are your children, we use Windows on phone, at home, we said no to apple (Adam and Eve couldn't do that) Do you really need to treat us like this?
Please all users, make online petitions, facebook groups, send mails. We need to get this.
You don't need to cheat..you can chat and get an id. They are not asking you anything about your phone . They just want name, contact no., and email id

The newly released apps for Nokia Lumia Series
Works perfectly on my hd7
Thank you for the xap files. They work great on my Omnia 7.
Thanks for sharing. Its working fine in my Omnia W
Works great on HTC Radar c110e thank you
This is equivalent to pirating. And I've said it before, I'll say it again - it's disgusting how XDA has selective treatment with it comes to pirating. Posting apps that are exclusive to other OEMs is the equivalent of stealing, because these apps drive the business for those phones and differentiate them. I really hope this ends soon. At least here.

you already have many homebrew apps which change your OEM marketplace in the phone itself.....so according to you developing a custom ROM with various types of unlock is also piracy?
and mind that XDA has a very good clear policy about piracy!!!

Eh - not really. Nokia distributes the apps for free to the hundreds of thousands (millions?) of people who have Nokia phones. And yes, to some degree, the apps drive a small bit of business for Nokia. But if you already own a Samsung Omnia, you're not really taking money out of the pocket of Nokia if you sideload their trailer app to your phone. And I SERIOUSLY doubt there's anyone here reading these threads going "well, I WAS going to go tomorrow to get a Lumia 900, but now that I can sideload the Dark Knight app, I'm going to get a Titan instead!"
I get your point, but I think its being a little too picky, especially with the Dark Knight or Trailers app mentioned here. Now - Nokia Drive.....maybe. That truly is an app worth a tangible dollar amount and could, theoretically, be piracy.

Actually, XDA has the most selective, BS piracy policy on the net. Most forums are either entirely against or for piracy, XDA decides when to enfore their policies. Example? The HD7 has Windows Phone ROMs floating around this forum. Windows Phone isn't Android, it isn't open source, and it's a licensed OS. None of these HD7 ROMs were licensed and therefore should be banned from here. I understand custom ROMs for actual WP7 devices because hey, at least you bought the device.

Problem is that Nokia Drive, Maps, Transit, Navigon, etc have all been available on these boards. I understand the minimal impact of the Dark Knight app, yes, but I'm complaining about the thought process. It happened at the beginning of the WP launch when these apps DID have an impact. And, I'm sorry to tell you, but Nokia's exclusive apps are a BIG part of their success - along with their customer/device support.
Totally agree about the Lumia exclusive app to be banned from the forum, if people surf some Chinese sites to get them, then so be it but xda shouldn't allow such stuff.
I cant believe how "sissified" people have become! I remember back in the day when anything goes! Even on Windows , hell I never bought a key for Windows until a few years ago , sadly most of you so-called open sourcers would rather pay an outfit like redhat a license then do it yourself , even xbox has **** canned cheats ,how weak! If its out there go get it , I bought this phone (and was ripped off,not by the manufacturer but by the carrier) ! Im sick of the crying about piracy ,if you want something on the net you can find it!
This forum is about developing , Im sorry but in order to develop some times you have to cheat to get where you are , anyone remember Tesla?
^ you vote Democrat huh, because you obviously love those handouts. Its disgusting how somebody can condone theft, you'd be *****ing up a storm if it were your product. You'd be the real sissy.

FiyaFleye, don't try to be holier than the Pope first. Nokia people are monitoring xda daily; they are able to write complain to the xda mods if they found a "piracy" here.
Second, it's not a "General" forum but "Apps & Games"; so don't comment here but open your "blah-blah-blah" topic in General and continue your fight against "BS xda" and "piracy"...
Ok guys... Because the debate raises points on both sides, i am going to close it for now, and confer will colleagues about how to best handle this...
At the moment i am enrolled as a Computer Science student, but i keep on thinking i should make the switch to computer Engineering.
Please feel free to delete this thread if it is not relevant or move it to where it should be, i am sorry i don't know where to post it.
Heres the deal, at the moment im about 7 trimesters from graduation, im getting to the good stuff! the fun programming classes, no more boring classes! I'm thinking about switching to engineering cause lets face it, engineers are cool and they get paid better.
I mean if you tell someone your a computer engineer its way hotter than saying you got a BA in computer science.
If i make the switch i will take longer to graduate.. about 40 credits more.. which is about 1 year and another trimester..
I love mobile, i love linux, windows and xda! Personally i think i should stay in computer science.. but engineering is calling my mind!
Heres a link to the university website where you can find the curriculum for both programs, help me find out if i should switch!

Honestly if you've made it this far with CS then you should stick with it. Find a well-paying job (if you don't already have one) in CS. Once you have established yourself and your career, take classes for CE. You may find it boring and tedious but in the long run its worth it. Better to have two degrees instead of one right?

When it comes down to interviews, your knowledge comes first. If you have gr8 skills a good manager is not gonna prefer some guy over u just because he is "engineer". If you are confident enuf about your coding skills then Engr or CS it's just a label.
I think you should go with engineering coz I m also in graduation course of computer engineering in India and I have also completed diploma course in same. To be honest its fun to code and playing with outputs but sometime its boring but salary wise its too good so I prefer engineering and its cool too
